You're in the same boat as me. I got my computer at Compusa a year before they announced their closure and left me with a useless 2 year extended warranty. The company that picked up the contract can't find my info in their database so I'm on my own. I turned off most of the start up programs since I had the same problem as you (took almost five minutes to start up).

My first computer back in 1998 was a HP Pavilion. I loved it, but I think that was because it was my first computer and I was so enthralled with the whole idea of the Internet and being able to keep in touch with far-flung relatives and shop online and all that good stuff.

Annie, I use IE. Actually the cursor problem is not as bad as the inability to use my backup. That problem has to do with windows explorer and it seems that is a vista problem. Andiamo, I tried moving the cursor to an unobtrusive spot, didn't work LOL Rocker, I ran that viri program.........nothing. BUT I found a microsoft site that is discussing the windows explorer problem and a lot of the people had different trojans. Many of the people used spybot search & destroy.

Anyone else having problems viewing it can try altering their computers security temporarily. On Vista it does not auto start and when you try to manually use the .exe to autorun, it won't allow it. But.... all fixed now,thanks for responding Lulu.

Turn off the UAC mode if your using vista,another option is to go to tools/manage add ons/enable of disable add ons/...then disable the shockwave player....

I have had a good week, been working hard with the exercise, sometimes I think I might do a little to much, I feel burnt out sometimes. You will be able to play wii style games with no other devices, ie. pretend your on a skate board and the compuer will see that and moniter it, you can use sign language for the deaf, to navigate, and simple 1 second gestures to "type" to surf the net its also just a brief flick of the finger. Looking at the computer screen or lights in general made me extremely dizzy. During this time, I was unable to concentrate very well and unable to focus on looking at objects. Within this 40minutes to an hour of cross-eyed like vision, I had to drive a car for about 2 minutes, and I could not focus on the cars in front of me.
