Avatar f tn He checked himself into WVU Hospital today only to be turned away because they have no beds and he has no money or insurance. Every rehab I have checked into wants money or insurance or they have no beds. We live in West Virginia but he is willing to go anywhere. He is desperate and really wants to change. Can anyone help with a rehab that does not charge anything and has beds available?
Avatar f tn I cannot enroll in a obamacare plan because of this; I need insurance coverage . I am a diagnosed case of Multiple Sclerosis. My hubbie is working but we are barely making it. What insurance options do I have? Is there any group that can provide assistance.
Avatar m tn You will learn that even if the epiretinal membrane (ERM) that causes these is removed the vision often does not retur to normal. Think about it this way. Take a 8 inch by 11 inch glossy photo in perfect focus. Then take in and ball it up and wad it into as small a ball as possible. Then try and flatten it out again. Even if you can get it flat or almost flat it does not look like it did before crumpling. The retina is the same way much of the time.

Avatar f tn You said you have no insurance, but then went on to say that you have medical insurance so I am a little confused. Now days most doctors give two sonograms, even though my medicaid only is supposed to cover only one, I still recieved two at no charge to me. One sonogram is to take measurments and give a due date, and the other is for gender and to take more measurements. At every appointment the doctor should get out their little portable doplar thing and check only the heartbeat.
Avatar f tn She did many test (glaucoma, field of vision, tomography?) My field of vision was abnormal and my optic nerve was thinning she stated, I also have a large cup/disc ratio. She refers me to a MD at the WV Eye Institute who specializes in Strabismus. Upon his exam, he finds Nystagmus, glaucoma, hypertropia and exotropia. He refers me to his collegue who is a neurophthamologist. He orders MRI's of my brain and orbits along with several blood test. All of my blood work came back normal.
Avatar n tn I found out I was pregnant two weeks after I started a new job and told them at 16w when I told the rest of the world. My boss said he appreciated knowing early. I got insurance through my work so I don't know about that part.
Avatar m tn In my state, which is not WV my pharmacy allows me to obtain my opiate prescriptions 2 days early - though I rarely do so. It's not only the state, it's federal, the particular pharmacy and of course your insurance. If your pain is not well controlled - meaning you need to fill early often - talk to your PMP and see if a change may be in order - either in the number of tablets, the dosage or the actual opiate.
Avatar f tn It's funny bc I met my bf once I moved to wv, but his family is from the same round about area near the bay in MD as mine. It's weird how things work out. I think I'm only going to do one baby shower though. I'm not sure how many of my friends would actually come to one in Wv.

Avatar f tn I live in wv and my due date is Dec 15. I'm from Baltimore so I want to see my family on thanksgiving (nov. 28) should I not travel? It takes six hours from wv to bmore. Its two weeks before my due date, so..?
246139 tn?1424371973 Keep in mind the list is for you to use to research Drs as it is not meant as a referral....not sure if the member that added that name to the list is still a active member...so do, call the Drs office and ask questions...that is your best bet.
Avatar n tn I handle snakes with a shotgun, this is off the subject, I live in WV and im friends with a game warden, THIS IS NO LIE in WV it is against the law to kill a snake even if it poison.
Avatar m tn I need an ob for wv. I have called a few different doctors and all are saying I cannot be a patient because of my hepatitis. I really need a doctor and soon but am scared that I will have to go through this pregnancy without one if every doctor refuses me. anyone know of an ob that will see me for west Virginia?
Avatar m tn Has anybody been to a chiari specialist in WV. I have found the website with a few names on it, but I would like to hear someones personal experience.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
Avatar m tn I have to confess I have been lurking around the site for the past few weeks, just after I was first diagnosed with CHF. Let me start at the begining for me. I have spent years with high cholestoral and tryglycerides without treatment. I didn't have any kind of insurance to get the meds with. Well about 2 months ago I was transported by ambulance to the hospital for internal bleeding and spent 3 days there with no insurance of any kind still.
Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
Avatar f tn Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.
Avatar f tn Take them to your local pharmacy and they can properly dispose of them. I live in WV so if they do it here, odds are they do it elsewhere!
809911 tn?1238928743 Until recently I had no insurance and getting a MRI for a newer version from 2005 was hard, I managed to make the ER do it, and (remember im in WV-they just dont care here) the radiologist had no idea of the 2005 MRI- his reading was clear- no degenerative changes - I called patient advocate, and as of yesterday after viewing the old MRI report he ammended his- is this legal- i dunno- but he mimic'd my 2005 MRI - Im picking it up today.
