Good morning, i had an impairment rating on my wrist 2 months ago, a 33% total body impairment but with some crazy calculations it came down to 20%. my companies insurance carrier is disputing the 20% because of having to pay out supplemental income benefits if required. there's some sites that you can ask workers compensation questions. this may not be much help but this what happened to me.

I have two good candidates to select from for a cataract surgeon. They both have websites and they seem to list preferences for lens replacement technologies. I was wondering if I should go to both doctors to see what they recommend and then do my selection - or if there was some other good approach for doing a selection? From my research on lens technology it seems like a Tecnis 1-piece lens might be a good choice - but only one of the doctor's websites list Tecnis lenses.

My insurance covers either the ameda or the tomy. Between these two which is better any moms have experience with either?

Then, the upper quadrant next to my nose gets blurry and bloocks my vision. Goes on day and night. While that eye is 20/30, I try to wear a patch so that I dont' go crazy. What is going on? Do these symptoms suggest changing vitreous, damaged inside of the eye after the operation, an infection of the vitreous, or? The retina specialist has looked many times at the eye and apparently cannot see the star burst effect.

There are also websites like Vitals that gives critiques of doctors and ratings. And last, check with your insurance company for who is in network to get a list to work from. good luck and let us know how the surgery goes!

is it just by trial & error? The insurance website has a list but most of them have no ratings.

Ratings are sent in by patients who discuss the various MS physicians' strengths and weaknesses. They share their experiences with the various MDs so you know, before having to waste any time or money, who to go to and who to avoid.

It has a hand remote, smaller than most cell phones, that allows several adjustments that can be made with a push of a button or two. I went to Costco because of good ratings on blogs and lower cost. A pair with generous warranty and replacement insurance was $1899 for the pair.

I love Chico. They get good safety ratings and usually have nice designs. FYI they make the bottom different so you can't sit it on top of a shopping cart. I don't think that's the safest thing to do anyway but some people prefer to do that. I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.

Given the strong feelings that you've expressed about the loss of your near vision and about having your (very reasonable) wishes ignored by your surgeon, I'm afraid that you're going to end up angry and depressed for many months after surgery. I honestly believe that there IS something you can do about it. Please consider cancelling your surgery and scheduling a consultation with the surgeon. Bring an assertive friend or relative with you to the consultation.

Ratings!!!! That is all any of it is for. Its all a ratings game and death and violence and negativity seem to get them....

Call your health insurance and see if they provide you with a pump. Mine did. And just look up what you want and check reviews for what you can get.

Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.

im in need of some help. i need health insurance but i just lost my job. now that i have palpitations im scared to drive or do anything. i went to the er and they did a ct scan with contrast and said they didnt find anything wrong. i just feel like crap. out of energy. all blood test came back good. i got a ct scan with contrast for my head last week but i havent heard back from them with the results so im guessing they didnt find anything.

Now my left eye is acting up and I do not have any insurance since I got laid off over a year ago and have not been able to find work. I'm concerned about driving since my vision is so distorted in sunlight. I'm wondering how bad will my vision get and are there any options for me to get the surgery done without insurance...like payment plans or something?

Hello! So I got a new job and didn't sign up for the vision plan because I have plenty of contacts, so decided to sign up during enrollment in January, but I did sign up for Medica health insurance. Now I have a growth in the corner of my eye. Not on the eyeball but in the way corner next to the nose. It is red, doesn't hurt or itch, is just super annoying because it touches by eye sometimes and feels like some eye boogers and I constantly want to rub it away.

I agree that you need to choose something that has high ratings for safety. After you see the ratings then you can see what fits into your budget. It also depends on what you think is going to fit your lifestyle the best. Some strollers are really light weight and goog for someone who is constantly in and out of the car. Others have different wheels, so do you want something that works with dirt/sand or are you only going to use it on pavement?

Double electric seems to have the highest ratings and speaking to tons of my gf they highly recommend double electric

the lightaheadness as gone away a little bit except when using bathroom when pushing i see more dots and more light and lightheades...what does this mean ? have no insurance and wont until middle of nov..

what I found was all her ratings were below average... and I found another doctor in the next county over..a 40 min drive (same time frame as what we drive now) and all her ratings are beyond above average but my babys father says no....
