1632656 tn?1310693271 s and Aderral xr 30 is now. I have recently decided to go back on meds with no insurance,, I am in California and I heard it is still quite expensive,, thank you.
Avatar m tn is there any way to restore vision lost due to retinal cell damage ... ?? stem cell treatment any thing ??
Avatar f tn The only thing I liked about covered California is it helps you pay for your monthly payment for insurance. Instead of like 450 for insurance we would end up paying 163. But that depends on what company and what insurance you get. Btw the medical takes a lot longer now to process thanks to the healthcare reform so I say apply on time. It took me 3mos to find out I was denied for medical and now its too late for me to be covered by anything on my due date.
Avatar n tn Because the cost varies from insurance company to insurance company and Medicare the costs are discussed with insurance specialists and not the physicians/surgeons.
Avatar n tn Are you saying that the light show in my eye, the loss of my night vision, the cloudiness and the halos might be fixable with PRK/LASIK or LRIs? Pardon my redundancy but I am really scared. I would gladly come to California for treatment.
Avatar n tn Thanks for the response.. I forgot to mention the eye that I'm having problems with has a hole in the back of the eye. My eye vision never was affected from the hole untill recently, I started noticing flashes of light and blurryness in that one eye. The flashing lights & blurryness can last for hours. I'm in the process of waiting for my medical insurance to get approved untill then I have to wait atleast a couple of weeks before I can make a appointment to see a Opthalmologist.
Avatar m tn Hello Doctors, Under advice of my current doctor I am seeking second opinions about a surgery I am considering to improve my vision. I had a IOL placement several years ago. During that surgery I experienced a suprachoroidal hemorrhage. Luckily, I still have good vision with some minor issues like waves in my vision. I have traumatic mydriasis and very bad glare issues. I am considering implant of a prosthetic iris to help with these issues.
Avatar m tn consider mini-monovision (distance vision in dominant eye, intermediate vision in non-dominant eye) using Alcon's toric IOLs. With a little luck, you'd only need glasses for seeing small print. And forget about ReZoom altogether--a terrible option. With the Crystalens you'd need an additional astigmatism-correcting procedure, and your final results probably wouldn't be as good as mini-monovision with toric IOLs.
Avatar m tn My daughter is moving out to Burbank, California for a new job and I need to find a good endocrinologist for her. Someone recommended her doc while she was in Virginia so I thought I would try to find someone who knows someone good. She has hypothyroidism and PCOS. I would love to find someone that was well versed in both thyroid issues and the other hormonal issues. She continues to struggle with weight, acne, and no menstruation. Also, I read something about secondary hypothyroidism.
Avatar n tn My eye seems to flicker or flutter after surgery, what causes this and will it go away? Surgery was 5 days ago. Also, when will my distance vision return? I can see clearly about 5-6 feet but no further without being totally blurry.
Avatar f tn i am 52yearas old.i have no insurance. I am not working I lost my new eyeglasses two weeks back. can i use the old prescription for my eye glasses which was expired on 7th june 2010?
Avatar m tn However, mine keeps rolling, vertically, for about 15 minutes at which point it develops into full blown double vision. It all starts with a blurring of my vision. The whole episode lasts about 2 hours to get back to 95% ok. I've had 7 episodes now, first one on its own, then a week later 4 days in a row, then another week later 2 days in a row. Can't find anything on the Internet... Was hopeful with nystagmus but it turns out that's not it. Any comments appreciated.
Avatar f tn Nope insurance doesnt cover it :(( i tried researching it also insurance doesnt coverbit and each dr has their own prices geeeeshh
Avatar n tn Hi. I've been dealing with recurring flashes in my left eye, and have been working with a doctor who is monitoring them. However, it's after hours right now, and I just experienced some flashes with a simultaneous shadow in a different part of my eye, and I'm not sure if this means I've got a tear or not. The flashes always occur in the outside corner of my eye, while the shadow appeared across the lower left corner and bottom of my eye.
Avatar f tn If your insurance asks you if you have a condition and you said nothing it is fraud. Medical never comes up with my car insurance. Heck my mom had the same insurance and drove with her right hand 90% disabled, cataracts, a bad hip, on oxygen, and loaded on pain killers. She had accidents all the time and the insurance covered her. I was amazed when she could barely make it into DMV and they did not bat an eye renewing her license. No eye or road test.
Avatar f tn Does anyone living in california, have insurance that is not work related - that covers IVF. Blue Shield does not cover anything to do with infertility?

This don't last long, I blink, and few seconds later and disappeared. My vision not blurry or anything, just seeing those bright dots really scares me. Avatar n tn I unfortunatley am in the situation of not having health insurance and living in the asheville nc area there isnt alot in the way of "free" healthcare much less anything to begin with. any help figuring this eye problem out would be GREATLY appreciated. for medical history i am a 22 year old male non diabetic (as far as i know) who had perfect vision my whole life.
Avatar f tn Hello. In the last 3-4 months I have noticed something strange with my vision. If I am looking at text on my computer screen and then scroll down (causing the text to move up quickly) it causes a vision "disturbance" so to speak. It is as if my eyes cant follow the text and I have to stop scrolling and focus again to find my place.

10175413 tn?1427170251 Did you slip one under your jacket to being home?......No, wait, you are in California ..no jacket! Really hope you had a great visit and saw lots of amazing birds. funny how animals and birds make us feel happy inside.
Avatar f tn I had to get emergency medi-cal bc my insurance decided to cut me off when I hit 36 weeks. When I applied I was told the approval process can take up to 90 days, however when you get approved they will cover you from the date you applied...does that make sense? Like if you applied on oct 1st but didnt get approval until dec 1st, they would cover the period in between.
1125543 tn?1259710750 I was wondering if anyone was familar with this procedure and new of any doctors that could perform this procedure in the southern California or entire California area.
