Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
892068 tn?1241306467 m 51 and spent the last seven years going through six optometrists trying to get clear distance vision for driving. Note that not one did a pupil dilation. My initial visit with the first office was because I complained of double vision at night. This was after having worn Ortho-Ks for 12 years with tremendous satisfaction with 20/10 correction. Last year I was finally been diagnosed with cataracts of both eyes.
Avatar n tn Ive seen an eye doctor and my vision has gotten worse to 20/50 vision. Light or being outside during daylight hurts my eyes and I squint all day. I have very slight astigmatism the doctor says, 1/4 point in my left and 1/2 a point in my right. I had a cat scan in the hospital to find if there was something effecting my eye sight and they didn't find anything. Im on Omeprazole for ulcer and citilopram for anxiety but symptoms were discovered before medication.
Avatar m tn ve been confused easily and I feel as though my vision has been somewhat affected and my sleep is suffering considerably. Are these something for which I should press my doctor for an MRI or Catscan or do these symptoms normally accompany anxiety disorder? If I had insurance I would go do both immediately just to be clear of it, I only ask because I am of limited means at the moment. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn 1. In terms of your vision keeping you from things you need to do or want to do would you say your vision is a small problem? medium problem ? big problem" 2. Are you comfortable driving at night? If so if it were raining would you still feel comfortable driving at night? If a person says there vision is no problem or a little problem they generally do not need cataract surgery.
Avatar n tn The neurologists on call decided to not begin me on meds, but really gave me little information to go on. Unfortunately, I am currently without health insurance, so my options are limited. Yesterday, my first full day at home, I slept quite a bit and felt otherwise normal. This morning I awoke with nauesa, which went away after an hour or so and it was replaced with a headache and blurred vision. These were the same symptoms that I had in the hospital shortly after the seizure.
1548028 tn?1324612446 I took him because he has had the blurred vision since the event in Nov. 2011 resulting in blurred vision in the left eye and eye pain. This has now become more sensative to light (especially at night in a car with lights coming at him) and he has started having double vision. The dr. explained Jordan's eye muscles are weak and thinks his medication (Ditropan for neurogenic bladder and Neurotin 600mg TID) may be the cause for this.
Avatar f tn Hi, I know the scared feeling it can be overwhelming. The fear is worse than the reality. I went through it. I was confused and sacred an alone. The insurance is tricky. Yes once you are diagnosed those insurances are near impossible to get. But you may be unable to now because of the MRI findings. It depends what questions they ask.
Avatar n tn decreased vision, central scotoma, loss of color vision, afferent pupil defect, swollen optic nerve JCHMD
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
Avatar n tn MY LEFT ANKLE IS SWOLLEN NO REDNESS JUST FEELS FUNNY...BLURRY VISION AND I HAVE BEEN LIKE THIS FOR OVER ONE WEEK...NO INSURANCE & I HAVE SIX MEDICAL SCREWS IN MY LOWER BACK...WHICH ALSO IS HURTING ALOT...
Avatar n tn I’ve had 3 Avistan injections for bleeding on a scar/ pouch left behind from the detachment on my macula. Vision has stabilized at 20/60, with no central vision. Thick cornea. • Right eye: 2005 retinal tear, 2009 retinal tear. 2006 Verisyse lens, and iridectomy. Current diagnose with cataract. 2006 unsuccessful laser floater surgery. Thick cornea. • My right eye is filled with multiple floaters, and the vitreous is extremely cloudy, weiss ring.
5001952 tn?1362431765 I have been experiencing blurriness that is worse on some days than others. Sometimes the line of my lower eyelid is red and the veins of the eye seem more irritated than usual. I have migraines and experience a lot of sensory symptoms more so than visual auras. During one of my last spells, it felt like my eyes were skittering when I tried to concentrate when a coworker asked me questions about a job. I also have an atypical 11 x 7 x 5 mm pineal gland cyst.
Avatar m tn I had the lens replaced in my left eye already and after surgery my vision was very blurry. After about 3 days my near vision cleared up nicely. Up close my vision is as good as it was in my teens (I'm a 1 1/2 months short of 38 now). However, my distance vision (after roughly 20 inches, I haven't actually measured it) is blurrier than it's ever been, to the point that I probably shouldn't be crossing streets.
Avatar m tn I have myopia and astigmatism as well as blepharitis. My question was whether the monofocal lens would REQUIRE one to wear glasses for one focus since the lens can only focus you at near or distance. A distance IOL monofocal lens would that mean my near vision would be worse than prior to surgery and that I would lose my ability to see near or would it keep my current nearsightedness and only correct my distance? Also why do doctors recommend you to choose to focus for distance rather than near?
1210493 tn?1527851309 I just posted Friday that I had received a positive initial test for Hep C antibody...despite alt leves over 1300 a few days ago (Thursday of this past week) I have felt fairly good...a little nauseous but not bad. Today however I am having blurred vision (normally 20/20)...I haven't experienced this before---is this a normal side effect of high liver enzymes? Should I be concerned???
Avatar n tn s nearly nauseating, but no one else can smell anything, episodes where everything has yellow strips in my vision, episodes where part of my vision in my left eye goes black, my arms and legs seem to "fall alseep" at the drop of a hat, I've had an awful time the past couple of days with leg pain, fatigue is still awful even with treatment for RLS, I've also been on a beta blocker for cardioneuropathy (my new neuro says this doesn't exist, but Google and my cardiologist say
701252 tn?1234375689 My doctor at the time (she since left the area) gave me a shot of B12 and wanted to follow up and it went away for about two months. She ordered an x-ray to start since my insurance wouldn’t pay for an MRI right off the bat. I didn’t get the x-ray because I was having unrelated issues with my insurance company – all is well now. Late summer, the sensations returned, I was hoping it would go away again, but it has since gotten worse.
Avatar f tn Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.
