insurance

Avatar f tn The Oklahoma High Risk Pool provides health insurance to Oklahoma residents who have been denied coverage. Before your friend's COBRA runs out, she would need to apply for major medical coverage with a local Carrier (doesn't which one or for what plan becasue she will most likely get denied anyways) & get a formal declination letter.
Avatar f tn What kind of benefits are you trying to get? I live in oklahoma and being pregnant you can get insurance to cover everything through the state. Food stamps depend on your income and household size but you can get them before baby if you are within the income restrictions. They wont include baby until after birth though. You may qualify for wic before and after baby. That helps with milk bread eggs fruits veggies... after baby they help with fornula if you formula feed.
Avatar f tn Your OB should know. I'd ask. Mine knows what my insurance covers and doesn't cover.

Avatar n tn I know that in the state I live in (Oklahoma) there is something called SoonerCare...which is FREE insurance for expectant mothers and their children. If you are in a certain income level you would totally qualify and as a young woman...trust me I am sure you would probably qualify in just about any state! Also...about the twin thing...I asked my doc the SAME question...because I have history of twins on my mothers side...my brother had a twin but my mom miscarried the twin.
377600 tn?1225163436 I can't afford anymore expensive med. tests because I am over $20K in debt--insurance company is being a problem--after hospital stay, ultrasounds, labs--all that stuff. I'm just really mad that I'm hyperthyroid again. And I'm ticked that my antibodies won't go down. Sorry for venting.

Avatar f tn 4 years ago, I was referred to a neurologist in Oklahoma City and was told I had Chiari 1 malformation. Then after that he said I can continue with my normal doctor back in Lawton. I was then a few years later referred back to a neurologist but now it was in town. She never listened to me, especially with my meds. She did an MRI and said I don't have Chiari. I told her that I was informed that certain angles can make it look like it shrank or grew. She still brushed it off.
Avatar f tn Yea I am from the U.S., Oklahoma to be more specific and I only have state-given insurance only for the pregnancy so I'm not sure but I don't think they cover it. I will look it up though! And I heard the manual pumps are crap and can't do much too, that's why I was concerned - thanks ladies!
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
Avatar f tn I was just curious if there are any Oklahoma mommies on here. If so, how far along are you and when are you due?
