Avatar f tn so my boyfriend will be opening a tattoo shop in New York soon! It's a 4 Ina half hour drive from our house! I'm really excited and happy for him because I know he's been working his behind off to make it happen! Unfortunately I'm scared about moving so soon before our son, I'm due August 13th and my Medicaid insurance is through Ohio, I'm scared I won't be able to switch my insurance in time. Any moms that have any advice?

Avatar f tn I see a surgeon at the chiari institute in new york. I have gone to every local doctor but because new york did my most recent surgery no one will even consult with me. My insurance said it is out of state therefore I will be responsible for bills or back bills if they do cover part. Is this legal given the fact that I have been refused to even meet with doctors under the plan? There are no other options for me but to go out of state for help.
Avatar n tn does anyone have any experience with a good therapist in the new york city area (or connecticut or new jersey, or greater new york city) --a Licensed clinical social worker--preferably female, who does Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and is in private practice (and if possible not contracted with any insurance companies).
Avatar f tn My family is very concerned that I may have a thyroid condition. I need to get a blood test for it to find out. No, they are not able to help me financially. I am unemployed, and do not have a cent to my name. I am not a drug addict and other than that I'd rather not get into my situation, except to say that it's miserable. I live in New York City. Do you know if a place or any way I can get this test done without insurance or immediate payment?
Avatar m tn Yes, New York is fast. I never have trouble getting an appointment with a specialist. I don't know about a wait for MS because I don't have it.
Avatar n tn My doctor just decided to lower my medication dosage much to my objections. Does anyone know any docs in New York area. Preferably Queens or L.I. Please advise.
475555 tn?1469304339 Hiya, Dee. How've you been? Thanks for the greeting. I keep reading about all these new trials that are supposed to be starting up, but there's no study center info on the gov website. The last few trials, by the time I found the study centers and contacted them, all the spots were filled. I'm not giving up, but it sure is frustrating. The worst part is not being in the States now, not having a hep MD there, or any insurance. Flying blind, so to speak.
Avatar n tn That just means what is the going rate for a certain service in a particular geographical area. For example the same procedure may cost $1000 in New York City, NY & only $600 in Savanna, GA. So when the carrier determines the cost of a plan in GA, they base it on the cost of potential claims in that particular area. The bottom line is you have to make a compelling case as to why you need you access this treatment outside Ohio.
Avatar f tn Is it wise to have the cataracts taken out - and can you refer me to the best physician for this in New York City.
Avatar f tn I live in new York I have medicaid for my self and I got a unborn baby card so the baby has Medicaid when its born. My question is if I give the baby the father last name will the baby lose its medical?
Avatar m tn t see how her insurance is questionable at all. Anyway...I need a recommendation for a GOOD Physical Therapist in New York. My mother is 61 years old and has knee pain. She has already had an MRI done of the area. Please supply me with the name here, or via PM. Thanks alot.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure how things are in Chicago but in New York there were places that said "free ultrasound" then when you go they ask for insurance card or cash so I had to go to the ER & get one done because at the time I didn't have a doctor or insurance so that's how I got my first ultrasound done for free.
Avatar f tn In New York u dnt need to be employed.
Avatar m tn In the United States you can get an MRI if you want none, but without a physician's consult insurance may not pay. For a long time free MRI's were given in New York in a traveling van. They would summarize the findings and present you with a free disc of the result. There are two types of imaging. An MRI and an MRA. In the MRA dye contrast solution is injected intravenously and this enables the circulation and blood vessels to be more clearly defined.
Avatar n tn Has there been a sufficient number of patients implanted so as to get any feedback on how successful the new lens is? I know that glare, halo effects and poor near vision have been some of the reported problems with the previous lens. Has the new lens corrected these problems? This discussion is related to Crystalens HD100.
649848 tn?1534633700 Similar pressures already have forced a dozen insurance ObamaCare co-ops out of business, including the New York giant insurer Health Republic. If enrollments continue to stagnate, it’s likely other insurers will follow UnitedHealthcare and jump ship. On Thursday, the administration tried to calm insurers, sending them a written memo full of promises. Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services vowed to go to Congress for full funding to reimburse insurers for their losses.
