Avatar f tn But my insurance is Blue Cross of Iowa. My home office of where I work is based in Iowa. So I was just curious to see if any of you have found a supplamental insurance company that you have gone through that covers IVF? It might be worth getting that insurance and paying the higher premium if it's going to cover IVF. Thanks ladies!
Avatar n tn I was wondering if I lose my mothers medical insurance (Bluecross Blueshield of Iowa) if I don't go to college next year? My brother did but I was told I wouldn't because I'm considered a dependent. The reason why is because I became paralyzed in 11th grade. Do you believe this is true?
Avatar f tn Okay so I'm new to Iowa, I'm in the Des Moines area. I don't know when is the best time to go in and find a doctor. I'm 8w4d along, planned parenthood suggested I wait until 12 weeks but really offered me no help as to who to see for an OB. I have bare minimum insurance and I don't know if my baby will be covered. I'm so confused that I don't even know where to call first. Help!

Avatar m tn At first I was getting after images and blotches (not floaters) in my vision. I would see flashes in the corner of my eyes when it was dark. I thought those symptoms bothered me. I have recently been having dizzy spells when I move my eyes. Almost as if my vision is bouncing for a couple of seconds. I also get so lauthargic that my eyes can't stay open and they roll in the back of my head. It almost feels like my muscle in my eyes aren't working properly.

Avatar f tn I'm so sorry you are going through this. Yes the medical system is bad and broken. Do you have a county hospital in your state or county? That is one place you could get treatment. Also, You can try to go to www.livestrong.org and they have a phone number where a nurse will talk to you about getting help. Also, the Cleveland Clinic. I will write them for you and ask if there is any place you can go to get diagnosed or to get help if you don't have insurance.

Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
