viread

1191262 tn?1366763021 Thanks Enolia and all the women that post here. This is such valuable information and provides hope. I'm 32weeks pregnant and VL, AST and ALT very high and my hepatologist highly recommends me going on viread. I have postponed it for a few days because I'm doing a lot of research. All the online research on viread was scary but it seems like both you and baby are healthy -- great news! Thank you so much for sharing.
Avatar m tn Yes, Viread is considered to be safe for women during pregnancy. What I like to know is whether it is also okay for men to take Viread when they also want to father a child.
Avatar f tn be carefull it is full of ignorant doctors, please see a second doctor and very expert and change the one who told you to stop viread, he was totally wrong and any expert doctor will tell you that on the contrary viread is used before pregnancy to lower the virus and save the baby from cronic hbv
Avatar m tn just try intf+viread and see if hbsag lowers, viread mono will not work on hbsag but intf+viread has high percentages of response
Avatar f tn I've been on Viread a few months with good results so far. Before meds and at 2 month mark my kidney level was unchanged (gfr and creatine good). I know Viread has that risk long term of kidney damage, which worries me since most will need it longterm or life, as of what's available now. I have read taking baking soda is good for kidneys. Should I start this, or only of I see changes in labs?
Avatar f tn I d keep truvada until hbvdna undetectable and then switch to viread
Avatar f tn We just need to be more extra careful and of course always pray and believe in HIM. To those who are taking and will take VIREAD, I have a more cheaper price compaired to other pharmacy's price. You will have a discount of almost 7% or equivalent to Php245 per bottle. Actually if you can check information about VIREAD it can also helps those people who have HIV Positive. For more information you may contact me at 09175752692.
Avatar f tn ve been researching online and it says viread can increase liver enzymes and eventually people have to switch to a new med. my question : what other meds out there like viread and can viread increaSe my liver enzymes. Thank you!!!
1303524 tn?1323140356 do check another doctor, you are immune tollerant and immune tollerance phase cannot be treated in anyway and must not be treated because there is no therapy that can lower hbvdna without immune response antivirals as i told you before can make dangerous virus mutations and guidelines say clearly you must not be treated and after all you don't need treatment because perfectly healthy, the liver damage is not made by virus but by immune system.
Avatar m tn While you are on Viread can you take Milk Thistle? I've been taking Viread a few hours before I sleep, sometimes I wake up during the middle of my sleep, is taking the medication before I sleep affecting my sleeping pattern?

Avatar m tn I am 32 years old male, living in the United States and I have HBV since birth. Two weeks ago, I started using tenofovir (viread), but my ALT and AST levels are remarkably increasing in the past two months. I wonder if anyone has any explanation for this? My test results are below and I will keep them updated as I have more test results.
Avatar m tn HBV DNA,QN, PCR (IU/mL) ==== 12421 IU/ml HBV DNA,QN, PCR (copies/mL) ==== 72290 copies/mL She went to see a specialist and she was given prescription for Viread. She is worried about taking it now. Should she start the Viread after delivery or now?
Avatar n tn Congratulations and I'd like to compare information for I am too pregnant at 31 weeks and my dr. Highly suggest go on viread bc of my high VL and high ALT and AST. I'm just nervous of the side effects. Are you experiencing any right now?
Avatar f tn Hi, I am pregnant (28 weeks) and taking Viread. I did many researches and my dr insisted that it was the safest antiviral for pregnant women, it is #1 to consider when you are pregnant. It has also been tested by HIV and HBV women and it hasn't caused any harm to fetus (birth defect rate not more than normal population = under 3%) I don't know where your dr got 5% from!
Avatar f tn viread is taken to have babies and dont infect them with hbv, you dont have to stop it on the contrary women not taking viread have to start it if they get pregnant with high hbvdna you can take viread during all pregnancy and also for breastfeeding, it makes no harm to the baby, many members here took it with no troubles as to liver damage, most patients have no liver damage from hbv only those with a stronger immune system/hbv specific mutations have damage from hbv if you want to stop it
Avatar f tn cabin, please start treatment now, your LFTS are very high, why you are putting yourself in danger, look at me i m pregnant and taking tdf, baby is growing, and one more thing,in my last pregnancy my viral load was o,and my lfts were normal always 22to 35 in my pregnancy, but after delivery my LFTS keep rising almost 3 years, but not more than 68,so your condition is very dangerous, after delivery your ALT and AST keep rising,
Avatar m tn If you are an inactive carrier with undetected hbv dna and no damage why were you put on viread? Or were you active before and thats why you were put on viread? Also, how do they decide if you should be on viread tablets or on the injection (peginterferon)? If your on viread do you have to take it for life? And if you take the peginterferon injection then after one year if hbv dna is undetected can you stop taking all medication?
Avatar f tn My brother has HBV and is taking viread and hes und, doing pretty well but he never drinks. He does smoke weed atleast once or twice a week. Is weed bad with HBV? Is it as dangerous as alchohal?
Avatar m tn The trial began this June and will announce top line results for the first cohort treated with only SB 9200 in early 2017, but the more important results will be from those sequentially treated with SB 9200 and then Viread. Those results are slated for the second half of 2017 and would be the first evidence of a functional HBV cure in humans if successful.
Avatar f tn You can get Viread copay assistance with private insurance. I called when I was worried I was going to have a high copay. It's easy. At the end they give you a coupon code that you will tell the pharmacy. This will greatly or completely reduce your out of pocket cost. http://www.viread.com/en/my_access.
Avatar m tn d change doctor, make a resistance test to see if you developped any resistance and make entecavir 1mg+tenofovir 300mg (baraclude+viread) combo, consider adding alinia (nizonide500) off label therapy or combo with interferon too to see if you lower hbsag or make it negative because as you know NUCs like entecavir and tenofovir have no effect on virus clearance they just make hbvdna und
