vicodin

1689696 tn?1305819097 Unknowingly last weekend I decided to just not take them anymore and was not expecting to have withdrawal symptoms! Restless legs and no sleep have been the absolute worst symptoms. I've had them very bad. Don't take benydryl or antihistamines it just makes your legs worse. Someone recommended hylands restful legs pills and drinking lots of tonic water with quinine in it. That has definitely helped the legs. As for sleep, go check out my post this morning "how much longer??!!!
Avatar f tn It helped me so much for the restless legs. And aleve, or motrin, will help with pain. Hot showers and baths with epsom salts can do wonders for you pain as well. And I agree with vicki595 please be careful with the drugs you are now taking. Most are very potent drugs and can be very dangerous. Hang in there - what is your final goal here? To stop all of the drugs, perhaps one at a time? You'll find with time the pain subsides and OTC pain meds work really well.
Avatar f tn I hot bath or shower helped me not only with the chills, but with body aches and restless legs.
Avatar n tn I must be honest and tell you that on day 2, I took half of a 7.5 vicodin at two in the morning. The restless legs were intolerable. After I took the half, I was able to sleep. On day 4, the nausea, slower breathing, restless legs and the sweats, cold and goosebumps were so bad that I had to take 2 pills. Day 5, was much better and day 6 was not so good, but the nausea, sweats and most physical symptoms were gone except the restless legs.
Avatar n tn My question is what are the symptoms of vicodin withdrawal. I have been taking 8 tablets a day for over a year. I know that doesnt sound like a lot to some people but for me that is quite a bit. I have been experiencing overall pain for quite some time. I would get prescriptions for vicodin(5mg...7.5mg and 10mg) also I would be get prescriptions for tramadol. I would use them the way I was supposed to and then stop when I didnt need them.
Avatar f tn I've been taking vicodin or norco here and there for chronic back pain after a car accident. Right after my car accident I would go through 60 norcos, and 30 soma in a week. Full on abusing and addicted. Stopped cold turkey after a year of that. Not fun. Now I get 20 norcos and will take 1/2 at time every 4-6 hours. Sometimes I find myself taking them even though I'm not in a whole lot of pain. Not sure if that is considered abusing them?
491910 tn?1209366193 Hi everyone, just a quick question, my legs have been very restless (which I see is normal based on what I've read), I was wondering about how long that lasts? It's driving me nuts. I mean, it doesn't hurt but it's just there enough to bother me haha...I know everyone is different, but any info on this would be very helpful to me! Please tell me it goes away!!!
Avatar f tn Anyway, today is day 6 for me but the sleeplessness and general malaise is bad but the worst thing is the restless legs. Any ideas guys. I can't wait to be the person I used to be......... any comments are welcome........ but one thing is for sure I will never go back to that poison. It is a killer.
Avatar m tn I am on day 2 now of my withdrawal from Tramadol, and have many of the same symptoms as I did with Vicodin. I have no sleep, restless arms/legs, dizzy feelings, no appetite, cloudy, and intense cravings. In researching Tramadol I read that it was not a true opiate, but acted on the same receptors as other true opiate pain medications. My question is, how long should I expect to be in this cloud, since I am on day 2, should I be ok by Friday?
Avatar n tn Also have to use lotion on my legs and feet morning and evening. Have apnea and just started using a CPAP. Was told to continue Vicodin for restless leg.
Avatar m tn Hi and Welcome. Most of us have been there with the pain meds. We can help with getting you thru the WDs. I trust you've asked the prescribing Doctor what he/she can do to help also? Don't go through this without their help. As an example, sometimes they prescribe Clondine (if your charts allow) which helps with sleep and BP. It's going to be like having a bad flu a few days and then you'll be catching up on sleep near the end of the WD period.
1695121 tn?1306419072 hi there, pain is a horrible thing to deal with and will bring you down if you let it, the best advice i can give you is WALK lol sounds weird i know but i have suffered MAJOR depression and anxietey and i swear by it, and for your restless legs, try going to a chemist and getting some flight stockings, they helped me a lot to relax and get to sleep!! hope this helps and good luck STAY POSITIVE!!
Avatar f tn I got mine to give me non addictive med for my restless legs (bugs) and there are some others. I am sure others will get on to help. Sorry you got caught up in the new laws. Were you taking them for pain??
Avatar f tn Just wondering if anyone has any idea as to about how long certain w/d symptoms from Tramadol last? I have not had any Tramadol in 11 days and I am having severe GI upset (abdominal cramping and diarrhea) and the restless legs at night are terrible. can't sleep to save my life right now. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Also drink lots of fluids and take extra potassium (bananas are good) The potassium helps with the restless legs. Everyone has different side effects and from what I've read everyone seems to focus more on one than any of the others. I'm not sure how much you are taking but if you could do a slow taper than it might be a little easier. Good luck! This is a great forum to get lots of advice from!
Avatar f tn Im certainly no DR however, I can tell you Im 17 days clean from oxy 5 year habit now Im fight like a dog to get off benzos which is what Atavin is!! Benzos are far more difficult to get off than is Oxy or what not! Just thougt I would throw my 2 cents in on the sleeping aid. I used and still do Melatoin and 5-HTP to help calm nerves. As a word to the wise before you take the 5-HTP consult with your DR.
Avatar f tn Your dose is super low so that's certainly a plus. You will probably feel some withdrawl but I don't think it would be unbearable, however, everyone is different. Your body will still be looking for what's missing so when all else fails, expect the unexpected. I would suggest trying not to overthink it. If you don't feel bad, tell yourself that. Don't let your mind manifest what doesn't need to be. It is best to be prepared though.
544292 tn?1268882668 I need more! More information! http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_bad_is_Tramadol_withdrawal Question - How bad is Tramadol WIthdrawal? Avatar f tn Today I feel almost no physical symptoms with the exception of occasional bowel issues (definitely less frequent than several days ago!) and being tired but restless... I feel as if getting up and doing anything will take a world class effort but sitting here doing nothing is driving me bats**t. So - earlier I called up a friend and said, "Make me go walking with you. Meet me somewhere and let's go." I met him and we walked 2 miles.
Avatar f tn I'm currently on a detox going crazy, im emotionel all over the place i feel lonely sooooooo lonley, hate it! Don't know how much more i can take of this but i must keep going just hard you know! i can't sleep and the restless legs are unbearable, any advise on what i could use for restless legs?? I live in the UK.
Avatar m tn Pick up some Hyland's Restless Legs at Walmart when you can. I haven't tried it but lots of people say it works wonders. Remember the soaks that Teresa suggested. People love to live in the bathtub during detox. I was very jealous not having one. Give it a try for some relief.
Avatar f tn Ive tried using suboxone from a friend before and that didnt help the physical withdrawal at all so now i am attempting to slowly wean myself off by using small amounts of percocet or vicodin. Does anyone have any advise on how to get over the physical withdrawal symptoms? Or weaing yourself off pain meds?
1019316 tn?1262615059 I wonder if it was just from the withdrawal from vicodin, but a withdrawal after 4 days?? I have never had a withdrawal after 4 days but I have also never taken close to ten vicodin a day for 4 days. Anyone know?
