I just woke up into day 5 of my vicodin withdrawal and I gotta say I feel better today than I have in some time. I hope I am not being too optimistic but we will see how the day goes. All of the information from this fabulous group of people will aid in your quest...however, you must WANT to do this. Like gnarly it is 2/3 mental - such a true statement...you can do this.
looking for non script sleep aid for first week of vicodin withdrawal. my experience has been inability to sleep, frustration and lots of sighing and leg movement. within a week i am ok.
Its withdrawals. Try to sleep it off. Ibuprofen help a lot. If u can get Vicodin take such small doses 5mg helps if you truly hurt and after a few days cut down from Vic's. It will make it a bit easier.

I am now four days off of vicodin. I actually did not experience any physical withdrawal symptoms. Don't know why, or how, but am very grateful. The only thing I am experiencing is terrible anxiety. I am trying to just to fake it till I make it. My family has no idea I was taking any medications, and I don't want them to know. They noticed that I have been a little edgy lately. Any idea on how long this will last? Any remedies till it does subside? I started taking walks today.
I have suffered from RLS before, I guess I would say intermittent and mild. I never had to take anything for it. I have been on Vicodin 10/325mg for about 16 mths. I only take them at night. The most I have ever taken at night was 5, but usually only 2-3. I have taken 1/2 of one for the last 2 days but it seems that everytime I try to get off of it I have no other withdrawls except for the horrible RLS. Is this part of a withdrawl.
Im on day 2.5 of stopping vicodin 750's Took about 10 a day sometimes more. I am determined to be clean and be my normal self. I am having restless legs, diarrea, stomach pains, aches, no appetitie. I have been taking 1 catapres a day to help. I am very down and am on depression meds. Is there a light at the end of this dark tunnel??
If you are having blurred vision and confusion I would encourage you to seek medical care asap - I highly doubt that is still from vicodin withdrawal and you may have other issues going on.
Usually the worst of the withdrawals is the first 5 days then you would just feel weak for a couple weeks. What you are experiencing is not normal.
Call your doctor or go to ER.
I am tapering down from at least 4 - 7.5 mg Vicodin and several 12.8 codiene phosphate to about 4 Vicodin per day. I am waking with terrible shahes and nausea as wall as other problems. O am trying the therapy of medicines recommended on this site. This is about my 3rd day of tapering. Should I take a Vicodin first thing to help out.

I have been on the patch for two years. I also take Vicodin 10mg for breakthrough. I have been praying to god to help me have the courage to get off the medications. I feel like it has taken over my life. I recently took a urine test for the doctor and she said that a drug came up that I have never even heard of. I think it starts with an O. But, when she checked the pharmacies to see if I got a prescription for it it never showed up. BECAUSE I NEVER TOOK IT!
My pain was so bad that they put me on fentanynil patches for 30 days and I am wondering how they will go trhu with taku=ing my off these patches. I have taken btween 600-700 vicodin and percocets before the patches and want to know the process of ending this.
Hi~ I think you could just stop. I say this because I took Vicodin in Sept. for two months. I had broken my leg; a mess. After two months I just didn't want to take it anymore and I stopped. Nothing. I didn't even think about it at the time. It was not my DOC.

5 vicodin about every 4 hours to get through the Ativan withdrawal. I know it sounds bad but I figured vicodin was the lesser of 2 evils. If I knew ahead of time how bad Ativan was, I never would have taken it in the first place. I was taking 1 mg a day. It wasn't that much compared to some other people, but it was enough to give me really bad withdrawals. I just don't know what to do. I've lost so much weight and I can't keep anything down.
Ok what about Vicodin? Would taking Vicodin slow or halt the recovery process from quitting Zoloft? You know since my brain is in a weak state since I'm recovering from stopping Zoloft, I think.
I ask because I was addicted to Vicodin for a month and a half AFTER quitting Zoloft. I was taking 60-80mg of hydrocodone a day during that month and a half period. Would taking Vicodin weaken my body and prolong the withdrawal process from Zoloft?
Hi I am knew to this forum, and i have been taking ativan for anxiety for a few months now, I started to take this because I was addicited to Vicodin. Now that I am clean i have horrible anxiety with occasional panic attacks. I just ordered some 5htp and wondered if anybody else has tried this and if they like it?
Vicodin will probably suppress your withdrawal symptoms while in your system. Tramadol withdrawal is usually easier and faster than Vicodin. Usually will be 3 days and then starts getting easier. Have you spoken to your doctor about your plans to withdrawal? May be he can help you through your symptoms just for a short few days.
I've been taking 0.25mg of Ativan four times a day for about 6 weeks for anxiety. I haven't taken any for 4 days and feels really anxious and am having trouble sleeping. I also take Vicodin 5/500 1/2 tab 2-4 times a day. I was also taking that for anxiety. I'm still taking the Vicodin hoping that it will help me get off Ativan. I'm really scared by all the stuff I've read about Ativan and wish I'd never started it.I guess my question is: Will I feel better soon?
There are a lot of people here with personal experience and knowledge about many different kinds of meds and withdrawal remedies. If you can just a little more info there should be others along to lend support and suggestions. Congratulations on deciding to do this. . . . sounds like you are ready!
