Vicodin withdrawal flexeril

Common Questions and Answers about Vicodin withdrawal flexeril

vicodin

Avatar f tn Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Sweetie, I would ask your doctor about something like that before taking anything. You never know if you will have a reaction to a medication and if it was not prescribed to you and you received it from someone else that person could potentially be in trouble with the law. I do not believe Flexeril is addictive. But, please call your doctor instead. That's just my two cents! WTG for being clean from vicodin for 3 weeks!!! AWESOME!!!

Avatar f tn I have been on vicodin for a nexk injury since February. I started to see a pain doctor but I keep coming up short. It's ruining my life. I have kicked a worse addiction to oxyir several years ago. I have some klonopin 0.5mg, tizanidine and flexeril. I cant keep living this way. I'm not strong enough to taper down. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I could take. Last time I used neurontin but I don't have those this time. I haven't gotten the pain yet but I can sleep.
623065 tn?1275503695 Generally with spinal injuries, or neurosurgery, if a patient is looking at back surgery Flexeril (muscle relaxers) and Vicodin (pain killers) are the main medications used to help with the pain. If he has chopped the pills up, then he's most likely NOT abusing them. The reason I say this is because he would be taking several pills WHOLE. He probably took one and realized he was really sensitive to them, so cut them up so he could take a smaller dose so he would not be so tired.
Avatar f tn Now I have 3 doctors writing me scripts for 60 Vicodin, 30 Vicodin and 60 Hydrocodone 650 tab. I want to quit and not sure cold turkey is safe. I know my neck will still hurt and feel like someone stabbed me but I can't take the lies and manipulation of acquiring enough pain medicine anymore. I am cranky and quick to anger when I don't take at least 6 a day. That and I have gained 35 pounds because I HAVE to have sugar-candy and cereal and icecream.
Avatar f tn Flexeril is not addictive if you use it only when needed I took it for years for a bad back but you dont get hi on it so for the most part if taken as directed your ok just stay away from soma that is a different story...................................Gnarly.....................................
Avatar m tn Hi all, I had been on Xanax 2mg,Vicodin 5/500mg and Tramadol 50mg for 2 yers(Xanax and Tramadol) and 1 year(Vicodin)taking 8 to 10mg Xanax and 2 to 4 pills of tramadol and Vicodin daily. 5597890 tn?1370629516 Have severe l5-s1degenerative disease, t4-t5 s1 t8 herniations, spondylosis, severe narrowing of lower spine. Never ever took pain killers and I'm 47. For two months I've been on Vicodin,Percocet, didlauted, oxymorphone, valium, Flexeril, soma, Ativan, and none of those provided any relief. I was given fentanyl 25 on the patch for a month and really worked for a bit, but still had to take oxycodone 15 mg for break through. Pain still there.
Avatar f tn I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar f tn Hi Sassisu, I am glad that you found us at MedHelp. And sorry to hear about your experience with Flexeril. I have not heard of any dependency issues of that drug before. It does make sense that your body can become accustom to any medication. Have you discussed this with your PCP? As Sandee said I don't know how many you are taking per day not the dose. I think I would just gradually reduce this medication. Are you sure the migraines are related to the discontinuation of the medication....
Avatar m tn Two days after he stopped taking the Flexeril he started to experience withdrawal like symptoms. Unusual thoughts, dry mouth, numb lips, mood swings, confusion, etc. He had his wife call 911 because he thought he was having a stroke. The doctors did all the tests and determined he didn't have a stroke and basically told him it was a panic attack and that he has anxiety and referred him to psych.
Avatar f tn Please don't underestimate the addictive properties of ultram, it's not the physical withdrawal it's the mental withdrawal thats tough I have kicked both and would CT vic's 100 times over than coming off trammys. Just my opinion, you can do it good luck to you.
Avatar f tn If you are having blurred vision and confusion I would encourage you to seek medical care asap - I highly doubt that is still from vicodin withdrawal and you may have other issues going on. Usually the worst of the withdrawals is the first 5 days then you would just feel weak for a couple weeks. What you are experiencing is not normal. Call your doctor or go to ER.
Avatar f tn My doc is overseeing the klonopin withdrawal and it seems to be going ok, but I have not disclosed the vicodin problem. I always seem to replace one drug for another just to stay numb. I'm trying to be gentle with myself, but the guilt can be overwhelming. Any support or advice is appreciated. Thnx!
Avatar m tn I am tapering down from at least 4 - 7.5 mg Vicodin and several 12.8 codiene phosphate to about 4 Vicodin per day. I am waking with terrible shahes and nausea as wall as other problems. O am trying the therapy of medicines recommended on this site. This is about my 3rd day of tapering. Should I take a Vicodin first thing to help out. I can't stand this feeling.
Avatar m tn My pain was so bad that they put me on fentanynil patches for 30 days and I am wondering how they will go trhu with taku=ing my off these patches. I have taken btween 600-700 vicodin and percocets before the patches and want to know the process of ending this.
Avatar m tn does flexeril help with any of the symptoms of heroin withdrawal?
Avatar f tn Hi~ I think you could just stop. I say this because I took Vicodin in Sept. for two months. I had broken my leg; a mess. After two months I just didn't want to take it anymore and I stopped. Nothing. I didn't even think about it at the time. It was not my DOC. You actually may feel a lot better!
Avatar m tn Ok what about Vicodin? Would taking Vicodin slow or halt the recovery process from quitting Zoloft? You know since my brain is in a weak state since I'm recovering from stopping Zoloft, I think. I ask because I was addicted to Vicodin for a month and a half AFTER quitting Zoloft. I was taking 60-80mg of hydrocodone a day during that month and a half period. Would taking Vicodin weaken my body and prolong the withdrawal process from Zoloft?
Avatar f tn prescribed Medrol which I finished taking over a week ago. I have also been taking Vicodin and Flexeril. The Vicodin seems to be constipating me (bonus). The pain intensifies when I wake up and try to get out of bed, but it is not isolated and remains constant throughout the day. I've tried ice packs and heating pads. I haveHave had this for about 6 weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me advice or a magic cure. I stopped boot camp two weeks ago.
Avatar m tn t sleep because of these constant muscle contractions in my legs and back. Last week the dr. gave me Flexeril, the muscle relaxer to help sleep. It works well but leaves me so groggy the next day. the last few days I have only been taking 1/2 or even 1/3 pill, it takes longer to sleep, but still works. Last night I tried without one and the muscle spasms were worse. Does anyone know if the Flexeril is actually causing these to last longer than they normally would?
Avatar f tn Vicodin will probably suppress your withdrawal symptoms while in your system. Tramadol withdrawal is usually easier and faster than Vicodin. Usually will be 3 days and then starts getting easier. Have you spoken to your doctor about your plans to withdrawal? May be he can help you through your symptoms just for a short few days.
Avatar f tn I've been taking 0.25mg of Ativan four times a day for about 6 weeks for anxiety. I haven't taken any for 4 days and feels really anxious and am having trouble sleeping. I also take Vicodin 5/500 1/2 tab 2-4 times a day. I was also taking that for anxiety. I'm still taking the Vicodin hoping that it will help me get off Ativan. I'm really scared by all the stuff I've read about Ativan and wish I'd never started it.I guess my question is: Will I feel better soon?
