vicodin

Avatar f tn prescribed Wellbutrin to help me taper. I never went off them, but does anyone know if this heps with Vicodin withdrawal? I aso suffer from depression and Wellbutrin is supposed to help with that also. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Well maybe they will pull the formulas for vicodin and percocet how they are now (with 500mgs of APAP in each tablet) but I bet they will come out with a formula with less APAP in them. Vicodin is the #1 most precribed med in America (not just pain med, but ALL meds prescribed) so its doubtful that they will just pull it outright. At least I hope they don't.
541953 tn?1262586226 Yes and here's the catch, it's not illegal since Soma is not a controlled substance. You are allowed a 90 days supply. Some overseas pharmacies sell you as many pills as you want, some even stonger than soma. They shut down the US based pain pill sites, I use to have my vicodin delivered to me 3 times a week by 3 different sites. It's not fun being an addict. Thank God I have been sober for a long time and those sources are gone!!
Avatar m tn It had been over 100 days since I took a vicodin and wasn’t sure if I should take them with me or flush them. Sometimes I have a lot of back pain when sleeping on beds other than my own and didn’t want to ruin the vacation. There were only 10 in the bottle so I thought that I would take them just in case. To make a long story short, I did have a lot of pain trying to sleep and was resisting taking anything.
4939681 tn?1361299299 If you were to try vicodin or codeine, you run the risk of the nausea feeling again because they have similar reactions as the oxy and morphine. There are a couple other drugs you could try first before going to the higher potency drugs that may not make you feel so out of it. The first drug is actually used for fibromyalgia patients a lot and it is called Savella.
Avatar f tn I am taking 200mg Lyrica daily, plus 20mg Prozac, and Vicodin 5/500 as needed. I am miserable today - hurt all over I have a dr appt tomorrow morning but today is still long. I'm out of Vicodin and I have had a few 8 mg Dilaudid hanging around for awhile because a friend gave them to me. Has anyone had this combination of drugs? I need something but I am afraid the Lyrica and Prozac might interact with Dilaudid. Has anyone used Dilaudid to manage Fibro pain?
1387175 tn?1326400997 If you are judging your beliefs based on a migraine that does not respond to meds and shoulder pain that is not relieved with Vicodin, these may be isolated incidents. Vicodin is not a very potent opiate and does not work for everyone. Your shoulder pain may have been too extreme for vicodin to be effective. So I wouldn't necessarily rely on this as an reliable measurement. I think the same is true for the severe headaches that may have been a migraine.
890900 tn?1284577303 ADELPHI, Md. - Government experts say prescription drugs like Vicodin and Percocet that combine a popular painkiller with stronger narcotics should be eliminated because of their role in deadly overdoses. A Food and Drug Administration panel on Tuesday voted 20-17 that prescription drugs that combine acetaminophen with other painkilling ingredients should be pulled off the market.
Avatar n tn I understand that it is not good to mix drugs with alcohol, but I would like to know of experiences with mixing those two drugs, lexapro and Vicadin, alone.
Avatar m tn t know what to say. You slipped the vicodin in there on me. Yeah buddy, to me I see some red flags with you. I don't think I would be doing anybody a service if I didn't try and warn you that what your doing is very dangerous. I think before you do anything else try and educate yourself with the dangers of recreational drug use. I've been around the block son. The other side caused me more problems than you'll believe. I have 2 son's of my own and I have been blessed.
190885 tn?1333025891 taken in recommended doses, the acetaminophen component of the narcotic drugs is probably fine in terms of liver health. Things like ibuprofen and other NSAID drugs tend to affect the way our blood clots; something that is already an issue, especially with advanced liver disease. Narcotics are generally considered liver friendly, but of course have other, obvious issues of their own; especially if taken over long periods.
Avatar f tn ll get a separate breakout for Fentanyl, Oxycodone, Vicoden, Morphine, Codeine, Oxymorphone, Heroine, Opium, Hydromorphone, Cocaine, Demerol, and several other Opiates/Opioid drugs; Along with their concentration levels (ng/ml) in your bloodstream.
Avatar m tn It's possible. Other drugs generally don't help with withdrawal, and some believe that when we get long withdrawals from an ssri or snri taking anything that targets serotonin will just prolong the withdrawal because it prevents the brain from completing its adaptation back to working naturally. Others find that using certain drugs do help with withdrawal. It depends on the person and the severity of the withdrawal probably.
Avatar m tn m off of it, it seems to almost nullify the effects of other drugs. I would have been 8 weeks off of the Vicodin as well because I stopped both these drugs at the same time, but I took Vicodin to ease withdrawal symptoms after 14 days off of all drugs, and to my surprise, I didn't feel ANY euphoria from the Vicodin. I still felt the depressing effects of it when I came down from it, but no euphoria AT ALL.
620048 tn?1358018235 Mind you, all of my Drs had a very detailed sheet with all of my meds and other details on it, including how many I was taking. That was why I felt pretty safe in what I was taking....I also take a lot of different meds too. Now even my pharmacist is watching out for me. I am so tired of all of these meds but then I am sure it will be part of my life forever.
Avatar f tn Tramadol (brand name Ultram) is a centrally acting analgesic, while Vicodin (which is a brand name for hydrocodone, like other brands such as: Norco and Lortab) is a schedule III opiod analgesic/antitussive agent. They are both used to treat pain, and although tramadol is not an opioid, it DOES bind to opioid receptor sites in the brain and so it can lead to tolerance, dependence, and addiction, just like the hydrocodone.
Avatar n tn If you need it for pain then you need it. I am trying to find other ways to deal with my pain without opiates.
1187071 tn?1279369698 Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you can take pepcid, tagamet, or any other kind of over-the-counter antacid with the anti-inflammatory medication. Also, if you already take something like vicodin, norco, lorcet, percocet, or tramadol, avoid tylenol and use a different anti-inflammatory. Those narcotic pain meds already have a ton of tylenol in them and you really don't want to put additional stress on your liver by adding more tylenol.
Avatar f tn m out of vicodin and then unleash all at once.
Avatar f tn There are other ADHD meds out there that have less potential for abuse. I would talk this over with your doctor and see what other meds he can recommend. Just think this through and go over it with your doctor. If you need the med, then you need it. Just be sure to weigh the pros and cons. Best of luck to you.
233622 tn?1279334905 I don't think so... I've heard other got help with 900mg...?? I know it can go up to 3200mg a day, but when I was taking 2100mg a day... my Vertigo type spells were so bad.... I lowered it and now I only get them weekly instead of three times a day. so? I'm going to the MS clinic this week for an update on meds... 983679 tn?1276833336 Its repeated administration to dogs and monkeys leads to the development of tolerance but more slowly than that of morphine or Dilaudid and to the occurrence of abstinence syndromes that are less severe than with the other drugs." Translation: One can become dependent on it without knowing one is dependent on it — until one is really hooked. Eddy never found a nonaddictive analgesic, but hydrocodone and a number of other drugs he tested did work their way into the U.S. drug system.
