m not sure if hydrocodone and morphine are in the same family of drugs. I know vicodin and percocet are in a similar family (due to codine), but morphine is much different. refer to this website. http://www.rxlist.com/duramorph-drug.

My problem is I am in agony, and if any one has any ideas of anything that can relieve abdominal pain I would greatly appreciate it. I am currently taking a generic form of Vicodin, Hydrocodine, but I can not take this at work. An on call doctor has suggested taking fiber, but I have heard that this could make my symptoms even worse. I am hanging on barley here, so if any one has any ideas of anything that may help, so I can make it through, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have been on the pill form of Paroxetine for over 10 years now and would like to wean off slowly 2-4mgs. at a time using the liquid form. Is it safe? I read in a book on how to get off Paxil that one should not switch. What could be the cons to switching to the liquid form?

Dear Doctor, I am a para-medical PhD student, and I used embalmed cadavers for my research. Yesterday I was dissecting blood vessels in muscle tissues. The vessels did have semi-liquid blood inside them. while dissecting I pricked my finger with the scalpel which had some blood on it. The wound wasn't bad, but still bleeding a little. Either way, oxycontin and percoccet have the narcotic oxycodone in it. Oxycontin is pure oxycodone in a time release form while percoccet is a mix of oxycodone and another OTC pain reliever. Oxycodone is a stronger narcotic then the narcotic in vicodin which is hydrocodone. Both will cause WD. The WD from oxycodone was always much worse for me then hydrocodone but some say it's the same. What form and strength of oxy were you taking?

I have a question that I have always wondered about Methadone, but never wanted to ask a Dr. LOL. I understand that it comes in pill form and liquid form. What is the difference between the prescribing of it? Such as, why would a Dr. prescribe you the pill form instead of the liquid form, or why would they prescribe the liquid instead of the pill? I understand Hydrocodone comes the same way.

Well, I should say, unless you use liquid vitamins, but they are seldom all that complete and once in liquid form they are much more prone to rapid oxidation and deterioration, so I personally don't use them.

If you go to a good health food store ask them about an amino acid in liquid form. If money is an issue at the very least get the calcium with magnesium right away and bath in epsom salts. If you are only taking 8 pills a day you are below the daily max dose. Percocet have 325mg per pill. So you are taking 2600mg of acetaminophen. They say nowadays not to go above 3000mg and it use to be 4000mg. So I wouldn't worry about it. Just continue tapering down and you will be taking less and less acetaminophen.

she was diagnosed with IBS and wanted Vicodin for that stomach pain. Finally the doctors convinced her and my parents that it was not OK to use Vicodin for that as it was ruining her stomach lining. But since then, she keeps coming up with reasons to need Vicodin...first a UTI, then a kidney or bladder infection, then more menstrual troubles. Hi i'm 19 and since 4th grade i've suffered from migraines. since the fall i've been getting headaches that begin behind one of my eyes and some times will just be behind the eye and other times will include pressure of my head. a month ago i was massaging my head when i had one of these attacks and i noticed above my ear when i was massaging that i could feel liquid sloshing around. i didn't really think anything of it.

Anyway it started as a red area on the penis that eventually turned into a circular crust with shiny tight skin in the middle. No liquid or bleeding, no pain or itching. I will get them on different spots on the penis. never the same spot. What could this be? I will be going to the doctor soon as well as another std test.

actually I started weaning myself off in July. first the vicodin, then the clonipan and then the zoloft.I was so sick of my so called doctor. I didnt even want her help, so I did it myself.sents then I found a whole new doctor in a new office. she said she was real proud of me for stopping the vicodin but I should get back on the zoloft and she perscribed buspirone for my anxiety. I really didnt want anymore pills in my system but, I guess I need them.

Unfortunately, the two symptoms you mention tend to be the last to go for most of us. Try to be patient with the healing process. A month or so isn't too much to ask when you compare it to your length of usage.
