I posted earlier about some unusual experiences with sub but didn't give any details. My doc recommended me take either 4mg or 8 to start. I was in mild WDs, so I said I'll take 8 to make sure it would get me off those. He agreed, and said if i need more two hours later, take another. Anyway, to make a long story short, I ended up extremely sick the next day.
t be 100% on the 4th day, but you will be well enough to work. I was on at least 3 times your dosage (not sure what mg you are taking, but I was taking 8-9 of the 10 mg Vicodin) I did my detox in a semi truck and am here to tell the tale! 5 mg and 10 mg..the 375 mg may be the tylenol that is mixed with it//// like it will say 5/500...that means 5 mg of hydrocodone and 500 mg of tylenol....at any rate..3 pills a day is very doable...but i do know that it is still hard...my average dose was 6 pills a day...you can start cutting down and then quit or just go ahead and quit....u will feel kinda clammy and flu-like for 4-5 days and the physical part will be pretty much over...
Well, I've reached the end of day 2 of tapering plan that I posted yesterday. Today was officially my first day of only taking one dose of Vicodin, and I made it to the evening for my one dose. Since three days ago.. I've dropped from about 75 mg to 20 mg. Today was difficult, and last night was a great night of rest, but I'm honestly feeling really motivated by the community and support here. Thank you so much to everybody who has reached out and cheered me on.
However i sometimes take up to 2,500 mg of acetaminophen at once. Now i always year people say the max apap dosage is 4,000 mg per day. But nobody says what the body can handle at one time. So basically what i'm wondering is.... Does anybody think its possible that i've damaged my liver beyond repair??
Oxycodone also has an option without Tylenol. it is available in a 5 mg strength so this may be an option too.
You need to discuss this with your doctor and ask him what options he/she can offer. I would highly suggest not going in and asking for a specific drug, this raises huge red flags.
Just speak to your doctor and inform them that the Darvocet is not controlling the pain and that your concerned about the Tylenol content on a daily basis and they will adjust your medicines accordingly.
I have chronic pain, I had surgery for severe tennis elbow in 2007, now I have developed arthritis in the same elbow, my ortho doctor has me taking Vicodin 5/500 twice a day, can this become an ddiction?
i have taken vicodin for about 10 years now. I have never increased the dosage or abuse the med. my dr recently put me on tramadol which i'll try anything. i am to take 2 tramadol twice daily or as needed along with 800 mg ibuprofen twice daily. i have not found any resolve with this medication (i have been on it 2 weeks). i also have not had any typical withdrawl symptoms from stopping the vicodin. i have degeneration of my t3 and t4 vertebre and spinal rotation and of course subluxation.
The other post that was started about this said 3 1/2 10's, which I would guess be 35 mg/day norco, then the same post said 35 mg 3X/day, which would total 105 mg/day. Still not terribly outrageous, but the difference in the two amounts would make a difference. I'm still confused...

My wife has been on 80 to 100 mg 10-325 dosage vicodin for close to 10 years now. Blood tests say her liver is fine (so the doctor says) and she has hep C. She also started taking oxycodone 10 mg 5 times a day about 1 1/2 years ago. We feel she needs to end the vicodin usage asap and up the dosage of the oxycodone. She has been bringing this up to her pain management phys-assistant for 6 to 8 months and she tells her just keep doing what your doing!
I am on 15 mg morphine er every12 hours for 2 years and it does not help like it use to.My doctor said we could go on Hysingla ER for a few months than back on the morphine.The decision to do anything is up to me but I am very hesitate because I never heard of this drug,is it going to stop any withdrawals and is it even good for pain.
does anyone know how long vicodin stays in your system 4?ive been tappering 4 about a mth.today is my first day with nothing.i thought i wouldnt feel as bad because i tapered but i def do feel it.couldnt sleep at all last night.sweating and rls.does anyone know how long this will last?i only was taking about 20 mg a day.then tappered to 5mg for a week.now nothing why are the withdrawls still so bad?
I think the withdrawal symptoms are kicking in now, even though I went from about 10 mg. to 5-6 mg. in 3 weeks. I feel like I have the flu. I also have Fibromyalgia, so I always feel achy. Plus, I just relocated here, don't have a job, or regular friends, so my attention keeps going to how lousey I feel. I DON'T HAVE A LIFE (yet).
Mr. Sway, if you can get off the subutex this year, do so, it makes it easier in the long run.
How much has his dosage increased over four years? IOW how many mg. daily did he start at, and how many mg. daily does he now consume? How much APAP is in the vikes? If he's not meeting his tolerance requirements, they may still work to alleviate any pain (especially since by now it may be mostly psychological) but leave him wanting more to achieve a buzz. Do you know about proglumide? Do you know about grapefruit juice?
