vicodin

Avatar m tn After 6 straight weeks of this I requested some 5 mg/ Vicodin, I took two and my ear ringing turned to a low hush, my dizziness was barely noticeable & all the other symptoms mostly disappear. Six to 8 hours later my symptoms return. So I was taking about 6 a day and able to sort of have a normal go at things while we still are seeing all sorts of doctors and test etc. The pain specialist denied me any more Vicodin stating that "meniere's has no pain associated with it.
Avatar f tn So I have been taking venlafaxine (effexor) 150mg for 3 years now and bupropion (wellbutrin) 150mg for 3 months now and I recently had to go to surgery.I had an ovarian cyst that needed to be drained and my appendix taken out in the same operation. Anyways the doctors prescribed me with hydrocodone (vicodin) 5-325TB , ibuprofen 600mg and Doc-q-lace 100mg and I've taking the hydrocodone, ibuprofen, and doc-q-lace only about four times or less since my surgery on Monday (today is Sunday haha).
Avatar f tn I had bug swollen bulge on the back of my neck, my right pinkie was numb, I had sharp, short flashes of pain down my arm. The ER gave me vicodin and sent me on my way. I was still in a lot of pain and insisted on an Xray. They found my cervical curve was reversed. The doc told me it would be a while before I felt better. A neurologist referrred me to get an MRI and they found I had an atypical broad based hernitation at C5-C6.
Avatar m tn Now, a VA doctors comes out to my house and tells me that he now thinks that I have Vertigo and Movement Vertigo which is causing my Anxiety situation. Can I be treated for vertigo and Tinnitus after all these years with success or is it too later for me now that 30 yrs have gone by without treatment of any kind? What can the neurologist and hearing doctors do for me now at this late stage in life and time?
5140021 tn?1364185966 Assuming you have vertigo and it's not a symptom of anxiety attacks, which it very often is, there are gentler methods of treating it than an antidepressant you have to take all the time and that is hard to stop taking. Ginger is a natural remedy that helps many with this problem, and there are drugs such as antivert you only need to take as needed. The question here is, why do you have vertigo?
Avatar n tn While getting the migranes, having a cup of chamomille tea at night helped much. Also, my mom and other relatives had vertigo and felt normal a week after having the medications, therefore, I believe I don't have vertigo. But see a neurologist, it doesn't hurt to get a second or even third opinion, good luck.

Avatar n tn I've been having episodes of vertigo the past week or so and wonder if it is related to diet pop. I stopped drinking or eating things with aspartame to see if it would help me with migraines, which it did. But, this week I was at a party which I did have some diet pop. I then started having an attack of vertigo. I get the vertigo occasionally, but this time it is not going away completely. It will get better for a day or so and then it's back.
Avatar m tn I get vertigo and mine is worse when i tilt my head up and down, mine is only mild but I have had on one occasion where I was unable to walk in a straight line and it felt so bad I thought I was going to be sick, the room just wouldn't stop circling around me. Vertigo is different from just feeling dizzy. Usually with vertigo you either get the sensation like you are on a boat and it's rocking or feel like the room is spinning.
Avatar f tn It sounds like your son is having vertigo. I also have vertigo with my POTS. All my doctors have told me that vertigo is not a symptom of POTS but of some other condition. I had an VNG done that showed that I have a right vestibular weakness causing the vertigo. Your son should probably get tested to find out what is causing the vertigo as some causes can have really simple solutions such as BPPV. I hope your son starts feeling better soon!
Avatar f tn The brain stem also controls abilities such as eye movements, hearing, speech and swallowing. You should consult a neurologist about the vertigo as it is not good to get repeated vertigo attacks.

Avatar m tn I had a tooth infection im guessing for at least 3 months (didnt know it was infected) and one day i woke up to the room spinning and basically vertigo. So basically had seen a doctor, ENT, everything. Didnt think it could be because of my tooth, but others told me otherwise. So i had a root canal done yesterday and was prescribed antibiotics to kill the infection. So do you think this tooth infection could be the reason for me having vertigo?
1211508 tn?1343079605 I researched and it turns out a lot of vertigo is cause by anxiety, BUT a lot of anxiety is caused by vertigo. Dr's say it's hard to tell which came 1st, the chicken or the egg. I have found VERY few phobics on here that get the kind of vertigo I get--which occurs with normal HR and normal breathing patterns. And I've been having phobias for 3+ years now...never had this weird vertigo like feeling before.
Avatar f tn About 5 years ago I experienced a bout of vertigo that included some confusions, and vision issues that lasted for a while. The doctor told me it was some kind of inner ear virus and that it would go away eventually. It took awhile, but it went away. Two days ago I started to experience some vertigo when getting out of bed or when turning my head in certain directions. Reading the computer screen bothered me more than usual especially when scrolling the screen.
1041243 tn?1375230520 but in my personal experience, thats all that vicodin does, too. vicodin makes me violently ill and i found that ibuprofen, tylenol and asprin all worked better than the vicodin...but i talked to my doc first, which is what you should do.
999891 tn?1407276076 Because of the severity of the vertigo I had no choice but to go to a doctor, because of an accompanying Nystagmus the doctors were able to confirm that I had vertigo and thus send me for further investigations, however the dizziness was a different story with my family doctor thinking that the vertigo and dizziness were one and the same.
Avatar f tn Hi having had vertigo I know that the buzzing you describe is terrible the nausea would follow, like many of these things its very worring we all think the worst. I always thought I was going to pass out but it does pass thank goodness.
Avatar f tn For example, Vicodin can be 5mg of hydro and 500mg of tylenol as can Lortab. Or Vicodin can be 10mg of hydro and 325 mg of tylenol and so can Lortab. So they only way one will be stronger than the other as if the Vicodin was 5/500 and the Lortab is 10/325. I hope I have been clear in anwsering your question. If I haven't been please let me know.
Avatar f tn In my experience, vertigo is most often related to inner ear problems and sometimes other neurologic problems. You should probably see a vertigo specialist as well as your ophthalmologist.
Avatar m tn For the past 3 months I have had on and off vertigo. Sometimes just a little off balance, sometimes bad spinning and sometimes totally fine. I went to an ENT and hearing test showed hearing loss in right ear. This is the ear that bothers me most. Popping, echoing, fullness, etc. Had brain MRI 2 weeks ago. Normal. Doc has no idea what it is.
739070 tn?1338603402 I was wondering if others who have had vertigo and dizziness after the vertigo attack could share their experiences and insight. Were you instructed when you could resume driving? Were your vertigo attacks clear-cut with a definitive beginning and end? I do not want to endanger others or myself by driving when I shouldn't but I need some guidance. Thanks!
1415174 tn?1453243103 s migraines and auras. Now, I am getting mostly auras, a few migraines (less painful) and vertigo. I was wondering do you get vertigo as well and if so do you take meds or do anything to avoid getting it. It is really disruptive and I've almost falled a couple of times.
