Common Questions and Answers about Vicodin and exercise

vicodin

Avatar f tn If you are still cold a lot, it is likely that it does have something to do with the WD of the vicodin. (cold AND sweats) I had a hysterectomy a few weeks ago, and I have had HORRIBLE nightsweats since then. I had a hard time telling what was causing it, but I know now that it can't be drug withdrawal. It's been too long!!!
Avatar f tn Hey, I would recommend some exercise, staying busy and possibly NA. If not NA, then try some sort of counseling or clergy or something that helps in the way of support and being able to talk in person to people. Cravings get better over time. Promise. But.......they come and go for a while to be honest! Get out and move around as much as you can! And good luck!!
Avatar f tn exercise really does work !!!! put on your ipod and go for a walk you will feel better!
Avatar m tn My question is this, Has anyone lost weight after getting off Vicodin? I know when I take Vicodin it makes me feel smaller than I am.
Avatar f tn clamminess verses hot flashes/hot then cold/ was part of my wd....the thomas recipe would benefit you immensely...and an exercise routine...did they break the frozen shoulder loose? massage and stretching to the max is helpful for a frozen shoulder...
Avatar n tn I have been taking vicodin 10/325 once a day for about a year for lower back pain. I was prescribed this medication and the prescription even indicated I could take it up to 4 times a day, but I never took more than one a day because of the strong dose. My back has been getting better, so I decided just to quit the vicodin completely. It is 5 days later and I'm still feeling the effects of stopping it.

I am very ready to take nothing and quite frankly almost out of xanax and have no way of getting more and really dont want to.. I think one of the things that scares me is the thought that I could have seizures from going off the xanax, but, can I coming off of .25mg a day?
1375266 tn?1278713144 When going through withdrawls from vicodin, what is a great vitamin, exercise, and food regimen to do to help lessen the emotional physical symptoms during the process?
Avatar n tn Again, while I hate to recommend ANY drug, I had fessed up with my doc regarding the vicodin (he was completely cool about it and well-versed in pain control and drugs), so we agreed on a small (15 tabs) non-refillable scrip of Xanax 0.5 mg for those Really Bad Nights. Be advised Xanax addiction is not only highly possible but also frought with real peril, so only do this under close adult supervision.
483757 tn?1208481255 D and Tramadol) The only thing she will allow me to take is 1/2 to 1 tab of Vicodin 10/500mg a day even though narcotics have NEVER worked for my pain and she knows that- and I hate Vicodin. At every appointment, I tell her that my pain is worsening and unbearable but her only suggestions have been more narcotics and warm water exercise. I have even tried safe essential oils, herbs, vitamins and massage.
Avatar f tn When i got home I felt so tired and short of breath, which in itself is awful for me because I had a regular exercise routine prior to starting this and I craved exercise. Is this all normal? I read that regular exercise creates new pathways/receptors. I thank you all for your feedback and support. Absolutly no one knows how I am feeling. I have tried to explain it to my fiance but he just doesnt believe that it can be this bad at such a low dose. Maybe alot if it is mental. I dont know.
1065007 tn?1255540445 you can increase your L-Tyrosine if you want and you dont get jittery...also, take a good multi-vitamin and exercise...i know it seems impossible w/out energy, but even a 10-20 min walk helps... Good luck..it'll come back...
Avatar f tn I would bet money that this is causing your depression and feelings of severe sadness. Google Vicodin and depression and the story will be told. These meds are great for pain and they make you feel good too but they also do something to your brain chemistry and as you will learn from your internet search they CAUSE DEPRESSION. I weened myself off them over 3 weeks and for the next month I had the same feelings you describe.
507619 tn?1211845850 i am 16 and i am in highschool, i am addicted to vicodin now mentally i know what i want so i keep my hand out the bottle but the anxiety and muscle aches just make me wanna start eating vicodin sanwichs lol.
Avatar n tn Also, the indication for Vicodin intake by your boyfriend is also important consideration t make sure that the illness is not indirectly affecting him. WIth regards to Vicodin, this is usually indicated for moderate to severe pain and genitourinary side effects include ureteral spasm or urinary retention but not necessarily fertility issues( ref: http://www.drugs.com/vicodin.html) Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn So I was taking 1 vicodin and 2 ultracets in the morning, 3 ulracets in the afternoon, 1 vicodin 2 ultracets in the evening and 3 ultracets in the night! I did that everyday, the first time i tried quitting i was going through a nervous scared depressed feeling. so my doc put me on anti-depressants and xanex. then i started my pill popping 5 days later. Avatar m tn Hi there- Usually the B vitamins are good for the brain along with Ltyrosine. Also, exercise and activity releases endorphins and gives us more energy. Look at the amino acid protocol. There are a lot of foods that are great for our brains ...like apples!
Avatar f tn Ditto with what Lu and jif posted. Very normal, ....exercise!,, so vital ....release that anxious energy! Don't let it get the best of you, it can be a breaking point for a lot if us. Aftercare! or just plain call someone. Breathe, meditate, dance!
Avatar f tn Hi All, I have found great help in reading all your posts and want to say thanks. I have always like taking vicodin as a recreational drug (like when out drinking on a weekend and a friend hands me one); however, I had a bad accident 1 1/2 ago and have been on them ever since. I take 1 a day during the week...But on weekends, I find myself taking 2 or 3 a day. I know deep down inside I do not need them anymore for the pain. If I do not take one, I start sneezing constantly and can't stop.
Avatar f tn I am currently on Lyrica and take an occassional Vicodin for the pain. What kind of exercise can I do that will not increase any damage or pain in my thigh? I want to lose some weight and would like to know what you would recommend.
Avatar n tn 00pm today I had a person come to my door and asked me if I wanted to buy any Vicodin, (Someone I used To Buy From) how hard is that. But I told her I stopped taking them and she said she was proud of me, but really they don't care they just want your money. Anyway that took all the will power I had. JUST SAY NO! For real. Again thank you guys for your support and help it does mean alot.
