Also, a radical prostatectomy seems like an extreme measure for prostatitis! I had a radical prostatectomy in Jul 2018 for prostate cancer, and the effects of that are not to be trifled with - 15+ months later, I’m still struggling to regain sexual function & many things are different, including urination. Believe me, you don’t want this unless it’s to save your life, as in if you’re diagnosed w/ cancer.
From what I have read on the internet and in the book "The invasion of the prostate snatchers..." it can be from 6 months to a year in some cases...everyone is different.
I realize the Viagra post was not a specific question, so to make it a specific question I would ask, in your professional opinion does viagra type meds help in other areas of rehab?
Oh,yeah!!! It tripled in size and almost full erection and I lie down and foreplay is good and erection is gone. Tried using rings for holding the blood, actually worse. I thought I would ask dr about prescription for Viagra or Cialis to use in conjunction with Trimix. I don’t know if stronger than the triple strength Trimix would help. Just frustration. Hard enough to work wife into making nonentity then it is like a melting popsicles. Once it goes down it never gets close to initial fullness.

Please understand that you are not alone - this is extremely common with almost all guys who undergo prostate cancer surgery. I’m a prostate cancer survivor, had RALP Jul 31, 2018, so I’m a little over 2 yrs past surgery. I’ve been struggling to get sexual function back ever since, some improvement but not what I had before.
I used it in conjunction with my viagra and when i ran out of my viagra supply. It is L-Arginine. Another supplement is L-Carnitine. Don't take them together. L-Carnitine should be taken on a emply stomach. There are many different forms--and they each have a slightly different function. What i took of the L-Carnitine is GPLC by Jarrow pharmaceuticals. I know Australia has several good supplier of supplements. L-Arginine works differently than viagra.
My question is, What would be your recommendation or suggestion if I was to start taking L-Arginine w/ Ornithine after my prostate cancer surgery? I am weight lifting and need the extra boost to build muscle mass and also to use in place of Viagra.
The reason I ask is because one of the warnings is to prohibit the use of such supplement if a person has cancer.

There’s some evidence that TriMix or similar injections to produce erections may help restore erectile function for men who’ve had prostate surgery. Even w/ modern nerve-sparing techniques, the nerves that are responsible for erections are traumatized during the procedure because they need to be very delicately ‘peeled’ away from the prostate before it’s removed, and it can take several months or even up to 2 yrs or longer for the nerves to ‘wake up’ again.

It would be best not to use two pharmacological agents antagonistically, even if the effects are side effects.
This means that since it is obvious that the finasteride is responsible for the erectile dysfunction, the viagra should not be used to counter it.
It would be better to switch to another drug for your problem.

Just to say again, there is no such disease as prostatitis. All that means is you have an inflamed prostate but doesn't tell you why you have one, and certainly having one doesn't cause gas. It pushes on the bladder, not the digestive system. You also don't get an inflamed prostate by sitting around, you don't sit on your prostate. Most people who have one are older men like me because it's a side effect of living a long life with a lot of testosterone.
Would taking both Flowmax and Cialas or Viagra be causing the retrograde. I didnt like it and after the sex I did not feel satisfied. I have read that Flowmax could cause RE.
