Avatar f tn Your hepatologist should have the last say - irregardless of what the other doctors think. Yes, Viagra is a problem for patients dealing with liver and kidney disease. Unless my liver team tells me it's ok, I don't do it. Just be careful.
Avatar m tn Does anybody know if Viagra or one of the similar products is harmful to a damaged hep c liver?I went looking for info online and came upon this guy named Lloyd Wright who wrote a book on Hep C who said that studies showed that Viagra increases your viral load. Now he is not a doctor so I wondered if anybody has posed this question to their doctor.
Avatar m tn Is it safe for hepatitis b patients to take Viagra so they can get hard errection? Will Viagra cause any damage to liver in hepatitis b patients?
Avatar m tn My boyfriend has cirrhosis of the liver. He usually doesn't have a problem getting an erection, but he does sometimes. Mainly he has trouble keeping an erection and a lot of times cannot reach climax or ejaculate? Is there anything he or we can do to help this situation?
Avatar n tn His fibrosis has gotten worse since on treatment (from stage 2, to 3, to 3/4). He also has erectile dysfunction. So his doctor has given him Viagra AND prescribed topical testosterone cream. According to the literature on the testosterone cream, he should NOT be using it with liver disease. His doctor also lets him take tylenol for aches and pains associated with the treatment. He pops tylenol probably everyday.
Avatar f tn So it has nothing to do with MS. Viagra increases blood flow and it helps a lot. It will drop your blood pressure and you don't want it to drop to a dangerous level, so you need to monitor it. Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. Please try this now. Viagra has a very good safety profile for a number of years now.
Avatar n tn On my question about giving tracleer to a human being that has already severe cirohssis of liver, you did not really answer my question.Person was told her liver was fine and it was not,so was given tracleer, and she is at a point of dying.Tracleer was given for pulmonaty hypertension. I think they shouldn't have given her tracleer. You say tracleer can cause liver problems, when severe cirohssis was already present. PLEASE ANSWER WHAT I AM ASKING.
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.
Avatar f tn My husband is on the medication Suboxone and I was needing to know if he can take Viagra with this medicine? We don't want him to take it and go into withdraws or anything so, are the two compatible?
Avatar n tn I am scheduled for a thallium stress test, and would like to know how the use of viagra or nitro prior to the test would influance the results.
Avatar m tn It gets there faster, but thus stops working more quickly. Viagra has a ton of possible side effects, and they will be potentially worse doing it this way. Since you're not a medical professional, your syringe might not be sterile, which can cause problems. If you're on other meds that might interact with Viagra, that will be enhanced.
Avatar m tn It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine? Are there are any potential contra indications in that Viagra should not be taken by a person who takes L-Arginine? If so, is the contraindication just for that day? In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra?
Avatar f tn I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
Avatar m tn Ive also been tested for HIV so I know thats not an issue and I protect myself while having sex. But I think there may be a correlation between using viagra and my outbreaks. Any ideas?

1548028 tn?1324612446 Has anyone ever heard of taking Viagra (every 3 days or so) and feeling so much better? Not for the obvious reason for Viagra but for better blood flow to the body in general? He says it has made a huge difference for him. Seemed crazy to me but what do I know.lol!
Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.
Avatar n tn Definitely check in with your health care provider before using viagra and heart medication. Viagra was accidentally discovered to work for ED when being studied for it's affects on the heart. They always ask you if you are taking this. Men taking ED medications can not take nitrates as a general rule.
Avatar m tn ( I alsou thing theres connection betwen impotence and ffat liver, the other guy with problems like mine had fat liver, just like me .If i know that if i cure the desease my libido will come bacck, then i wont be depressed, thats forr sure .
Avatar m tn I do not believe this was caused by Viagra. It usually causes a vascular problem. The new onset of floater should be considered an urgent condition. It is may be associated with retinal tears and subsequent retinal detachment. Dr. O.
17995067 tn?1462167674 to the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as generic Viagra. Viagra is a cash cow for Phiser, and ten years ago a SINGLE pill was 10 dollars, NOW a single bill is 30 Dollars. Every time the time period lapses for this drug to qualify for generic, they tie it up with paperwork-refile with a slight change to keep the generic out of it. If you are getting something from outside the us, it is likely not Viagra at all.
Avatar m tn If i do not do this in 1 minute, it will go soft and lose errection. My wife is a very demanding woman and she does not like my pennis going soft when she wants it despartly.
Avatar m tn I don't have ED but I was curious if my erections could be stronger. I spoke with my doctor and tried Cialis and Viagra. Since they have much different half-lives, I thought I'd try the following: Taking 10-20 mg Cialis every 2-3 days, then taking 20-40 mg Viagra (generic sildenafil) before sexual activity. My questions isn't whether this is effective - it certainly is. But is there any risk to doing this? I moved so I don't have a doctor right now.
Avatar m tn He dilated both my eyes as I was not able to pinpoint the floaters and flashes and informed me that both my retinas looked absolutely fine with no holes, tears or hemorraghesor detachment. He did attribute my symptoms to PVD which he described might have been due to my inital trauma that caused some inflamation and subsequent liqufication of the vitreous gel. He informed me that I could continue my activites as normal.
Avatar f tn I am in my mid 40s, I have ED and peyronie disease and I am taking Viagra to help with my erections because staying hard has been a challenge for the last year. It works well and my wife is happy. Recently I have been curious about using a penis ring in conjunction with Viagra to make my orgasms more intense, however I am slightly worried that this could be dangerous given how Viagra increases blood flow and a ring cuts it off and also... peyronie disease. Is it safe?
