Hi I just want to know what can cause some or all of these combined symptoms, Hair thinning, lost of appetite, a few dark toenails but not all of them, 1 fingernail half light pink half light brown with vertical lines no ridges, wart on ball of both feet and lately some lost of taste (I'm thinking due to thin white film on tongue) I was a Severe smoker until recently when I stopped.
It occurs due to decreased protein formation because of malnutrition, major metabolic illness or chemotherapy. Fine vertical lines can be splinter hemorrhages under the nail which usually occurs due to blood clot or fat lobules carried in the blood vessels and sometimes they may be associated with arthritis and heart diseases. I have done some research myself and curiously one day typed into google an odd symptom I had; vertical lines on my fingertips. The only explanation for this was Adrenal Fatigue. I read that another symptom of this was elevated heart rate and high blood pressure which I do have.
I am only 18 years old, I am not under any major stress, do not feel overly tired, I maintain my weight (all the OPPOSITE symptoms of adrenal fatigue) I am very happy with life and laugh a lot every day!
I just noticed this randomly and it only appears on my index, middle, and ring fingers. Could this be caused by typing? They are the fingers I use the most. I don't type "properly" because that slows me down lol.

It's very faint in the image but there's 2-4 vertical lines on each of the fingers.
It has two areas on it, one for the control and another circle for the result, its suposed to be a vertical line (well 2 vertical lines) the controlline in vertical, but the line in the other window is horizontal...?? could this be a positive or just a streak? its blue and its not a evap line, it showed up less that three minutes after I took it. Anyone have this happen before???
I had cataract surgery on my left eye last year. I have vertical lines going through all the lights I see. When I meet other traffic at night, it basically blinds me with all the lines. I usually close my eye and continue driving with the right eye only. From reading some of the other posts it sounds like I need to go back to the Dr. that did the surgery. I hadn't been doing enough night driving to realize how bad it was till lately. Go back to the eye Doc?
I have vertical white lines on my teeth. I am only 16. I have had it happening on and off for about a year. I do not think they are crazy lines, they don't hurt. Also, they go away later in the day. It only happens in the morning.

I can't think of anything MS related that would create streaks or lines on the skin, DMD's are connected to lumps, dint's, welts, rashes though......i did look at your picture to get a better idea of what you meant by 'streaks or lines' and to me they honestly just remind me of vertical finger nail surface scratch lines, which are more likely to appear and stay visible for hours if your skin is sensitive.

Early Friday morning ( around 8am) when I was riding to the hospital my vision started to deteriorate rapidly. Vertical lines started to be zigzaglike, everything was becoming blurry and dark. The surgery was sucsessful and on the check up appointment on 23rd of July the doctor told me that the retina was flat. It was confirmed by an ultrosound examination.
Does anyone know what could cause these brown lines at the cuticle and on the actual hand? Person has athletes foot, jock itch, and Versicolor. Also suffers from severe abdominal cramping and bloating frequently. based on my research online, the only instances I can find a brown lines on the hands and fingernails occurred in people who have parasitic infections. After contact, I am now getting the brown lines in (not under) my fingernails without injury. Also peeling between the fingers.
My main concern is still the monocular diplopia. (As mentioned in the previous post, the vertical lines of the Amsler grid are doubled to about 2 feet out (with a beige coloring between the doubled lines. Further out, the horizontal lines (and not the vertical ones) are doubled (with the same beige coloring inbetween). Also, a line of print looks continuous because of the fainter ghosting of letters between the words.
s smooth and is plain red, it looks almost like I could have walked into the edge of a table. Within this past week I have noticed light purple vertical lines near the spot, they almost look like stretch marks but aren't raised or indented or anything. In my left eye ive all of a sudden started to see this vertical array of light|dark|light|dark transparent bars whenever i see point sources of lights like lightbulbs, my right eye has the normal dispersed concentric glow look to it (thats normal right i forget) but my left sees this vertical array, maybe 8-12 bars across and fades out in circle around the light source. Hi, I have a bunch of these vertical lines along the left side of my stomach 9 total. A picture is at the link below. I figured it was just an irritation and would go away after time, but it's been around for quite a while. I have 4 lines of the same but smaller and lighter in color on my left and right hip. I have no Idea what it is or exactly where to post it on the site I hope this is the right place. If anyone knows what this is and how to get rid of them please let me know.
