7748835 tn?1393868668 Hello. I'm 16, 5'6 and 118lbs. I've had asthma since I was little and I just got a diagnosis that it was moderate persistent asthma but has worsened since I've had that diagnosis so I'm sure it's severe now. I'm on Advair 250/20 as a preventor and I have Ventolin HFA as a rescue inhaler. I take Advair twice a day, but sometimes forget to take it. I don't believe it helps prevent any symptoms or attacks whatsoever.
Avatar m tn Under PFT test it shows FEF25-75 IS SIGNIFICANTLY DECREASED SUGGESTING INCREASED SMALLER AIRWAY AIRFLOW OBSTRUCTION, attending doctor started Ventolin HFA , please suggest what can be done? does this is serious concern in future.
13495566 tn?1431029924 Does anybody have the package insert that comes with HARVONI- section 8.7 -says not proven to help cirrhosis. That is one of my denial reasons--I don't know if it says that. Trying to find out.
Avatar m tn The only new med that I have been taking in the past 2 weeks is Ventolin HFA (Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Aerosol) for my coughing after coming down with flue. I have also been eating lots of broccoli sprouts and home made fresh ginger tea mixed with little honey. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon! Regards, Perez.. (IBS/IBD?) L.
Avatar f tn I been smoking for 11 years now. The er at the time prescribed me ventolin hfa. I went to my regular dr a week later and they ordered me a pulmonary function test. I got the results and it says that there is nothing wrong with my lungs. But i still continue to get the cough off and on every 3-4 months. Every time i use my inhaler, my chest gets aggravated and congested and it makes me cough more...as of 2013, im 28 weeks pregnant and im still smokin cigarettes.
Avatar f tn If yes and you are using a dry powder inhaler - you may be like me and react to the lactose they use as the carrier molecule to get the medication into your lungs. Advair HFA, alvesco and any HFA inhalers are lactose free. Puli org, symbicort, any disk inhalers or rotatable ones a Have lactose in them. I did have to fight to get my doctor to believe me and switch my inhaler but proved it once I was off for a few months - improved and then did spirometry before and after taking symbicort ...
Avatar m tn Santos, You can please name those tests which can be asked to attending doctor to order, in PFT test it shows- FEF25-75 NOW IS SIGNIFICANTLY DECREASED SUGGESTING INCREASED SMALLER -AIRWAY AIRFLOW OBSTRUCTION, Attending doctor started VENTOLIN HFA , getting weakness, trembling with this only usage of three times, please guide-
Avatar f tn Can't say that I get that symptom but everyone is different. What inhaler is it? Ventolin or a steroid one? Ventolin normally increases heart rate and makes you shaky. I don't know of any inhalers that make you drowsy?
Avatar f tn Watch inactive ingredients present - all of the dickus medications (advair, ventolin etc) have lactose as a carrier for the medication. You might be reacting to that and not the medication, switching to the HFA inhaler version would help that (or vice versa). If is VERY unlikely you are allergic to every single medication for asthma because there is a lot of differing types and specific meds.
746512 tn?1388807580 If you are having troubles with your ventolin not working .... don't be stupid like me. Get a new one and see if it helps. I found out mine was completely empty last night when I woke up last night in an attack and the ventolin didn't work very well. Why does the advair have a counter on inhaler and ventolin doesn't?? does not make sense to me!
Avatar f tn I did that and the results came back fine, and there was nothing wrong with my lungs. The er gave me albuterol ventolin hfa. Whenever i use it, the medicine makes my chest more worse. I dnt know why, but as of now im 28 weeks pregnant, and as of right now since mothers day, i been having this whistling in my chest and i have been coughing since last week sunday, with a rumbling sound in my chest wen i inhale and exhale. I havent used my inhaler or nothing else.
1145751 tn?1262133453 Ok so I got these Prometrium capsules and it states on the package insert that these capsules are oral capsule. My OB's direction is to insert it vaginally as a suppository. Im concerned because the capsules outside gel is pretty thick. I just dont want to keep shoving these things in me and it not dissolve. Has anyone used oral capsules as suppository?
Avatar f tn All medications come with something called a 'package insert' which has labeling that includes any risks. Did you tell your doctor that you are expecting? I would just call the office to be safe and tell them you are pregnant and want to know if the antibiotic prescribed for you is safe during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I do have the insert at home. It said if there were NO lines it was inconclusive, but nothing about a line in the circle and nothing in the oval. The way it reads, for it to be positive, there should be a line in each opening. I will be taking another one tonight, hoping it is more conclusive. thanx!
Avatar f tn I did have a chest x-ray which was clear except my doctor said that my small airways looked pronounced which could indicate airway inflammation. I had allergy testing and had a mild reaction to ragweed. I was prescribed Ventolin HFA and Asmanex. I took these medications and had a lot of side effects from both medications. The side effects felt worse than the actual symptoms.
Avatar f tn Yes, I read the insert. So your saying that its accurate rite?
1515545 tn?1291395764 That includes 6 puffs of advair MDI a day - inhaler lasts 20 days (~$120), singulair - one package is 30 days ($40), ventolin 2-4 puffs a day - lasts 50 days ($7), atrovent ~6 puffs a week (forget how much, probably $10-14) plus the vitamin D, NAC, omega 3s, calcium and B complex that my respiralogoist recommended which cost roughly $80 a month.
Avatar n tn They all come with a patient package insert that explains it. If your pack no longer has that insert, you can ask your pharmacist. Most require you to use them for 7 days before considering yourself safely protected.
Avatar m tn These are not listed on the package insert, but I note from Dailymed.com Viread did cause fever in clinical trials (i.e., Truvada is a combo of Viread and Emtriva).
Avatar m tn I would look up the package insert online because they are all available online. That's what any doctor or pharmacist would be looking at if you asked them.
Avatar f tn Your chances are slim to none of being pregnant. Taking plan will cause disruptions in your cycle, it says skin the package insert. Taking it on top of all the other meds you're taking will surely disrupt your cycle even more. I wouldn't think twice about it. I'd be more concerned that the plan B messed with your thyroid levels or caused some issue with the effectiveness of your PCOS meds because that is much more likely.
Avatar n tn In the past two years I have been diagnosed twice with bronchitis and have been treated with antibiotics and an Albuterol Suffate inhaler (generic name Ventolin HFA 90MCG) both of which have provided relief. I am reluctant to take antibiotics but sometimes you just have to.
Avatar n tn As far as the package insert, there is no indication that this would be in any way harmful to a fetus. I would not be concerned.
Avatar m tn I haven't used detartrine myself but according to the package insert, the 150 RDA does not erode enamel and there is no contraindication for use in sensitivity patients. The only contraindication is allergy to the material. Try using some sensitivity toothpaste to see if it helps.
Avatar f tn My understanding is that betapace or sotalol cannot be substituted for the AF version but the AF versioin can be subbed for the non AF version because the package insert does have everything that the AF package insert has plus the A-fib information
