i have been taking venlafaxine for several months. i went off of it two weeks ago because i've been having severe nausea. the nausea is still there but i rarely sleep more than 4 hours a night. i'm supposed to call my doctor this coming tuesday to have another anti-depressant prescibed. i don't know what to do. the nausea is intollerable, but i'm exhausted sleeping so little. i'd appreciate any suggestions.

Hi, I get my prescriptions through Express Scripts and they recently contacted my doctor about a generic for Effexor ER called Venlafaxine. The problem is, I now take the extended release Effexor and the supposed generic for this med is $70 more than the brand name Effexor ER. How could a generic subsitute be more expensive than the brand name, just doesn't make any sense to me. If I chose to take the non-extended release generic Venlafaxine, it would be $80 cheaper than the Effexor ER.

She tells me that the lowest dose of XL is 75mg. She has put me on 37.5mg daily Venlafaxine. I tried this as 150mg dose, and it was not the same at all as Effexor. Is there any alternative. So I'm currently taking 75mg venlafaxine and 15mg mirtazapine the mirtazapine is great doing its job for the night time anxiety it's more than enough to calm me and help me sleep the night but my concern is the venlafaxine it's causing me stomach upset and feelings of low mood iv been taking this combo since beginning of December whilst some what it has levelled me out to the state I was currently in I don't feel as tho the venlafaxine is helping anymore as Iv been on it before a

for the first time since i come off Effexor i feel great... i feel no withdrawal symptoms. this is my 10th day without venlafaxine. i'm full of energy. and i feel great cause i'm beginning to win this battle. my dizziness is gone. that first days anxiety has normalized, I really believe now that it's possible to survive effexor withdrawal. usually depression has an environmental cause. try do find yourse and fight it. the human mind is very powerfull.
