(thought I was crazy) the cycle stopped for several years, then about a month ago,it began again,after dying my hair. only this time there has been so much loss of hair, so I wear a babushka on my head everyday. I have been on Venlafaxcine for over a year, and came to Google to find some answers. certainly found a lot of people in the same boat.It has to be one of the saddest things to loose (especially being a woman)...I try not to let it control my emotions or go to my head Ha Ha!!

In the last 16 years I have taken nearly every SSRI and SNRI medication on the market and did not experience weight gain or loss on any of them. Now, obviously I am about 25Lbs heavier than I was when I was in my 20s. I 38 now and as we get older weight gain is common. is this due to taking these meds? I don't think so as I probably would have gained the weight anyway as I started pushing my 30s.

Hello, I've been on Venlafaxine(Effexor) 75mg in the morning and also olanzipine 2.5mg at night. My doctors and I now feel I'm ready to come off these and be happy and health naturally. However I've tried coming off these before and I experienced weight loss, nausea, loss of appetite, insomnia and in general awful effects. Any suggestions as to how to get off these safely?
