Avatar f tn I'm on my 4th pregnancy And I started getting them in my 2nd pregnancy. The veins started to get more visible around my right ankle and I don't know how to explain it but on the back of my right calf I ended up get something looking like a small bunch of grapes due to the veins. And believe me now my veins r so much visible and feel really bumpy and a lot painful. I can't stand for a long periods of time and can't even do do my house chores.
9062499 tn?1426957962 Ouch: getting annoyed with these varicose veins. They wont let me stand for more than 10 mins. Any mommies out there who knows how to deal with them? I would really appreciate it.
Avatar f tn -) im 29 weeks pregnant today and almost since the beginning of this pregnancy I have been struggling with those horrible varicose veins on my very private parts. Not only it is painful and uncomfortable but I also feel like a complete freak because no other women I spoke with had suffered from them. Am I really the only one here having them?
Avatar f tn I have them on my legs aswell. They are terrible! Lol I'm hoping they disappear after little man.
Avatar f tn I noticed that after giving birth to my fifth child I developed thick painful varicose veins on both legs. I felt embarrassed because as women we are expected to look beautiful all of the time. I did some research online and I came across USA Vein Clinics. They were able to answer all of my questions. I am usually very careful about having any procedure done but they made me feel safe throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them if you want a permanent solution to your varicose veins.
Avatar n tn I'm 16 weeks pregnant, first pregnancy and have noticed varicose veins on the backs of my knees/legs, are they permenant?
Avatar f tn Anyone else having trouble with them? They run in my family and I got them for the first time halfway through my first pregnancy and now in my second pregnancy they are "flared" up. I also started back at work do I'm on my feet a lot. I wear compression socks which help but is there anything else I can do to relieve the pain?
Avatar f tn Seems like we share a few common things besides varicose veins. Only discovered I was preg at 14 weeks and am 27 weeks now and wld really want vbac but read somewhere saying they usually start inside so was also worried about obstruction of baby.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Any vein may become varicose, but the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs and feet. That's because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body. Sometimes varicose veins lead to more-serious problems. Varicose veins may also signal a higher risk of other circulatory problems. Treatment may involve self-care measures or procedures by your doctor to close or remove veins.
Avatar f tn Hello and welcome to the forum! We're glad you are here and appreciate your question. So, while it may not be a varicose vein, it can still be what they call a 'bulging vein'. " Bulging veins are prominent, enlarged veins that often appear blue or purple. They’re easy to see because they’re superficial veins close to the surface of your skin and typically occur on show up in your legs, feet, ankles and hands.
10404685 tn?1418830427 Yep. Gotta love the extra weight of baby and pressure on the veins! I have varicose veins in my legs and my vagina. It's really unattravtive and is constantly swollen unless I'm lying down. And of course comes the pain and heaviness too. Ugh. I'm just glad I don't have them around my butt hole.
1762441 tn?1318971154 My son had the ELT and and although it was a painful recovery (7-10 days...and he won't take pain meds) he is very happy that he had it done. Hope this helps.
155701 tn?1230047101 When I lean against something (like the bathroom vanity), it feels like a big bruise. These are not spider veins or varicose. They look like normal veins except that they're very noticable and only on the upper region of my right thigh. I wouldn't be worried about them except for the fact that they feel like a bruise. Any ideas?

4347725 tn?1356746977 They are varicose veins and can become painful. I was on bed rest at the end of my pregnancy with brayden. Mostly due to these. I had to wear these sock things that were really tight and went to my knees :( You should be okay your so close to getting little guy out. But they may become a bit painful to stand or walk. After pregnancy mine disappeared completely.
3178444 tn?1348441829 Im not sure but I have read that the vericose veins are a pregnancy symptom.. IDK if that has anything to do with a lot of walking or not but it could be.. If its painful I would mention it to your dr to see if theres anything they could do. they might just tell you to stay off your feet..
Avatar f tn her sister had severe varicose veins. I never did, but I took a lot ofvitamin E in my health nut days (also never had stretch marks). But I was wondering how much pain, written off as fibro, might be vascular? I would guess that people w/EDS might have varicose veins too. Sometimes I feel like that's where pain is, because it'snot in my joints. My veins are very close to the surface. Anyone?
1907180 tn?1329450777 I am not sure if I have varicose veins or not. I am around 50 lbs overweight and 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. My legs are aching really bad from the knees to my ankles. I do have some small prominent blue bulging veins near the surface, but they have been there for years and never hurt. Can a person have them so deep that you can't see it? I fell last week and have some very deep and large contusions on the front of my right leg. My calves seem to be slightly swollen, but my ankles are normal.
Avatar f tn The doctor said that it's normal during pregnancy. It isn't varicose veins, it's just more blood flowing down there.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know if varicose veins will diminish after pregnancy especially in genitals?
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I understand your concern regarding your symptoms. Varicose veins may indeed become swollen appear lumpy, bulging or twisted as well as painful. The vein valves weaken or are damaged causing blood to backflow. If your varicose veins are causing you pain or discomfort, it is best that you have this evaluated by your doctor for proper management. Endothermal ablation, sclerotherapy, and even phlebectomy may be indicated.
