varicose-veins

Avatar f tn Oh Im so sorry to say this but unless you have them removed with a laser the swelling will go down after delivery but they will never go away. I got them with my 3rd pregnancy and with my fourth pregnancy they werent that bad and now they hurt and are like bulging out of my skin. I only have them on my right leg but theyre embarrasing.
Avatar f tn Seems like we share a few common things besides varicose veins. Only discovered I was preg at 14 weeks and am 27 weeks now and wld really want vbac but read somewhere saying they usually start inside so was also worried about obstruction of baby.
1032669 tn?1252460004 I called my aunt who is an OB Nurse practitioner and she said that it is a vaginal varicose vein that is common with pregnancy (I I never has this before and no varicose veins any where else)..................anyone else have/had this. I feel deformed; like I am not self conscious enough while pregnant I get this!!!! Anyone??????
554321 tn?1215474169 As your baby grows, pressure from your uterus slows blood flow in your lower body, with the potential to distend veins anywhere below the waist, including your groin. Like varicose veins on your legs, varicosities in your vulva can cause pressure and throbbing. This will resolv eafter the delivery. ref:http://www.melodywarnick.com/clips/your_belowthebelt_guide_to_pre.
1377538 tn?1278916108 Maybe it's varicose veins? They can act up in that area when you are pregnant. Ask your doctor about that possibility. I'm not sure what they can do to help. Ice packs and making sure you stay regular might help some. Good luck. I'm sorry you are in pain.
Avatar f tn I ended up having a part of a varicose vein removed in March at least the bulging part. In my second pregnancy I developed a varicose vein on my labia which has since gone away but I am pretty sure that appears and gets worse with additional pregnancies. My biggest fear is death (pulmonary embolism) and not being here for my girls. Otherwise I am 110% ready for another baby. I did have my first miscarriage at 6 weeks this Jan. I thought I was invincible to that till then.
Avatar f tn I am now 33 weeks pregnant and getting more and more scared of the delivery as I have bad varicose veins on my right labia. I feel them when I blow my nose and I can't imagine pushing the baby out feeling the veins getting bigger as I push!!!! My GP recommended a C section, which I would love but it's not up to her. The obstetrician will decide. How likely is it for the veins to burst while delivering? What about episiotomy? How can I make sure I can have a C section?
Avatar n tn I have been on modified bed rest since early August due to varicose veins in my right leg and my labia/groin. They are thick, blue, raised, and incredibly painful. Try ice for 20 minutes on and off and nothing too tight for underwear. They do go down after delivery as this is also my third pregnancy and I had them with my second as well.good luck.
Avatar f tn I don't have any werid discharges or STDs, so I'm really not sure what it is. I've read that it may be varicose veins, but I can't tell. I'm a little bit swollen, but I have no bleeding. No burning when peeing either. My only symptom is that it just hurts and is very very uncomfortable. Any ideas???
Avatar f tn I got vericose veins in my right labia with my second pregnancy. Luckily they went away when baby was born. I got them even worse this time and just delivered my baby 8 hours ago but noticed they are still there when I went pee. Hopefully one swelling goes downthese go away. It's so ugly!
Avatar n tn As you get closer to the end you do swell, you also turn bluish purple, sorry tmi, but it's from the blood, you get engorged. I did get varicose veins down there with my last pregnancy. They showed up right after I was intimate with my husband, again sorry, anyway, the pain was awful initially and it hurt to walk and sit. I had to get an ice pack and was so swollen I called my Dr. the next morning when it had not gone down.
Avatar n tn Ladies, I have varicose veins. In my vaginal area. He said he hadn't seen them before, even though I'd been having the pain for years, because I have never seen him WHILE in pain. If you have varicose veins anywhere else (like the legs) you'll know the exact deep aching un-ignorable pain that it causes... and that it's the exact same horrible pain in your crotch/upper-inner thighs. The worst part? They can't do anything for me until I'm done having children... which is who knows when.
1936698 tn?1333918793 it can also be accompanied by swelling form the increased blood flow or vericose veins... all common during pregnancy...
Avatar f tn I hear Ya. I also have varicose veins in my vagina and my legs so I am swollen and blue down there. So strange. It all pretty much went back for me but gosh it is hard not to feel gross down there. All I can say is I'm glad my hubby still thinks I'm attractive ha ha.
Avatar f tn I had been feeling a lot of pressure on my right labia. She asked if I had gotten veins in my legs and I showed them to her. She then looked at my vag and she said "I see one right there " she held a mirror for me to look at it. Its not super swollen but i can def see a vein. She told me to take 400 mg of vitamin e and wear support knee highs. I don't feel much relief so far. Do u really think u have one? Have u taken a look?
202436 tn?1326477933 Docs have blown it off or told me it was indigestion or heatrburn. During my last pregnancy I developed a varicose vein in my right leg at the end of my 2nd trimester. It started in the front where my leg joins my hip and runs inward towards my crotch, around the inside of my leg and onto my rigth outter labia. Other than being very unsightly and mildly tender it didn't cause any problems and went away immediately after birth.

Avatar n tn Random observations (and some embarrasing) that have become bothersome over the past several years...darkness around my eyes, complexion getting gradually lighter, very visible veins (not varicose veins), mouth sores inside, on tongue, and on lips, hoarse voice comes and goes, thumping in my left ear, sores in my labia (small, almost like a cut that bleeds very little...absolutely no STDs, dark skin in my under arms, under my breasts, and in my bikini area.

Avatar n tn I had that once I got pretty far along and it turned out to be varicose veins down there. Ouch and they hurt! But after I had him they went away.......thank goodness!
136122 tn?1218311597 I have had these same symptoms for years but they started to get worse since the birth of my children. If the problem is the varicose veins, I was told by a nurse at the health department that taking vitamin E helps. Watch your dosage within a week and see how things go. I know I still have pressure once in a while when I run out of my vitamins but the pain/pressure is a lot less and barely noticeable when I am taking them. I hope this helps anyone else having these problems.

Avatar n tn Would you pay full price for a brand new car that someone else has previously owned? How would you like to open a gift just to find out that someone else has been using it for the past 6 - 12 months? The decisions made in your teen's - 20's will affect the type of gift you give to your future spouse. And yes, you will pick up on what your spouse likes/dislikes when it comes to love. Please don't be fooled like so many that you have to know what you're doing in bed before marriage.
Avatar n tn It may even cause you to have a tubal pregnancy or become infertile, or even worse may cause death if not treated. So please contact your doctor soon. It has been about 5 yrs ago since I had PID and my husband and I have been trying to concieve for the past 2 yrs and well no luck, I know that PID has alot to do with it and I'm so depressed cause of it. I dont want you guys to go through that so react fast if you think you may have PID, its that serious.
Avatar n tn I too have this issue. It first occurred during my first pregnancy. It reappears with severe stress. I think it is Shingles and NOT scabbies. Shingles is a dormant virus in the herpes family that can occur in ANYONE who has had chicken pox. same symptoms as described. I am pregnant again and it is happening as we speak. I do not get them often but only when I am REALLY stressed. please talk to your doctors about this possibility.
