Avatar f tn Hello, sorry about he delay in answering your question. Inner thigh pain and groin pain are common with varicose veins. Also, calf pain is included in that. Please see your doctor if you have not already. Let us know if you have seen them and what they have said. Here is an older question about this answered by a MedHelp doctor https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Blood-Disorders/Varicose-veins---inner-thigh-pain-/show/2027668 Here is some basic information on the condition as a whole.
155701 tn?1230047101 For several months I've noticed deep blue veins on my upper thigh. When I lean against something (like the bathroom vanity), it feels like a big bruise. These are not spider veins or varicose. They look like normal veins except that they're very noticable and only on the upper region of my right thigh. I wouldn't be worried about them except for the fact that they feel like a bruise. Any ideas?
1138687 tn?1548643978 This is most alarming to me because now I am noticing when I sit in my car I feel my veins on my thigh touching the seat and as a 31 yr old this is alarming and uncomfortable. I feel I should have never been this hard on my frail body! Anyway, I know struggle makes us beautiful so i am not complaining, but I also believe that we shouldn't jump into harms way. Thanks for your support and MH should have a varicose vein forum. wth.
Avatar f tn Lately I’ve notice veins on my inner calf bulging out where I can feel them on my skin and they somewhat twist... as well as being able to feel my femoral vein running down my inner thigh to my knee cap, which I’m not sure if it’s normal to be able to feel that vein on the skin or not. But I’ve been having inner thigh pain and calf pain when I walk. Is this a serious issue or just common with varicose veins? I’m thinking about seeing my PC doc.
2020005 tn?1628125976 Hey there, i just want to say dnp47 that was a wonderful post! thank you! I agree, I would show it to the doctor. At least just so they are updated on whats going on with your body. I also have heard, if it doesn't go away after the baby, that apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it) can be applied to the area to help varicose veins. I haven't had any to see if it works yet on myself but if you are curious to try its an idea to look up and try.
9062499 tn?1426957962 They say they get worse w every pregnancy I'm on my third baby fourth pregnancy and they're starting . I have some on my thigh and I've been getting pains for 6 wks and I'm only going on 10. I didn't think about varicose veins being the reason for the pain until I just read this!!!!!
Avatar n tn I had some good insurance for a few months and took care of some large varicose veins I had on same leg. I have not had a cramp since. I never knew the pooling of blood in this leg from the varicose veins contributed to my leg cramps, but apparently that was my culprit.
Avatar f tn About a week ago, (not certain when it started showing up though) I discovered a lump on my inner thigh near my groin. It feels solid/firm and is discolored. It doesn't hurt or cause any sort of soreness. One source said it might be varicose veins, but I'm not sure. Any advice is helpful.
1254673 tn?1270647844 I have had leg pain in the past, and have had nerve conduction, and ultra sounds done on my legs, they finally decided that it is probably varicose veins. However this thigh pain is much worse, and different. What can I do to relieve this pain?
Avatar f tn What could be causing this? I’ve also noticed the past couple weeks some possible varicose veins show up on my calf of the same leg. Not sure if that’s connected or not.
Avatar n tn If the bump is flesh colored and over a vein, it can be just a varicose vein (especially if you have varicose veins on other places on your body). Age is not a factor, from teens to older adults can get varicose veins on the penis or scrotum (and other places). These type of varicose veins can range in size with most the size of a BB or smaller (or bigger). Inspect it closely. If it seems to follow or be "on top" of a vein, this is probably what you have.
1299624 tn?1332803936 I have a large varicose vein on the back of my left thigh. Two weeks ago, I had major surgery and this vein is very tender to the touch and hurts somewhat when I walk. Is this from the lack of exercise because of my surgery or could a blood clot be forming? Note: I see no redness, swelling etc that would be a sign of a blood clot.
Avatar f tn Lately the area behind my knee and my thigh have been aching. No physical activity recently, just this nagging pain. I looked and there is a small dark blue vein on the back of my knee. You can't see any other veins just this one, it's not a spider vein, normal sized just very blue. Is this a sign of a DVT or possibly just a forming varicose vein?
Avatar f tn Seems like we share a few common things besides varicose veins. Only discovered I was preg at 14 weeks and am 27 weeks now and wld really want vbac but read somewhere saying they usually start inside so was also worried about obstruction of baby.
Avatar f tn //www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/varicose-veins/symptoms-causes/syc-20350643. Basically, weak or damaged valves lead to varicose veins. Being obese is a risk factor and losing weight would likely help a multitude of things in your life. That's never easy but something that would be very beneficial to work on. Sitting for prolonged periods of time also contribute to varicose veins. You are a young man and this should be a priority for your health.
Avatar f tn Just recently the right leg has started to develop noticeable veins in the back of the calf as well as the inside of the thigh. Not to bad yet though but is definitely getting worse. I also have noticed vericose veins in adomen. 2 veins, one coming up each side. They also seem to be growing slowly. I also have very prominent veins in my arms, hands and feet. My legs and feet get very soar when I stand still and I almost always need to put my feet up after walking.
Avatar f tn I have a blood blister that I discovered at 16. It was small (about the head of a pin) when I first found it. I popped it, thinking it would drain and heal. Over the years, with each popping, it has grown to about the size of a pea. It's been here (on my middle inner thigh) for 7 years now. It's not painful, but if it's rubbed, it pops and it bleeds a lot, for 30 minutes at least.i have varicose veins, so I know my veins are not circulating well.
Avatar n tn Hi, I know it is difficult for you ,but you should take rest for a few days and massage the using a topical gel which will relax your contracted muscles. Also note if threre are any varicose veins which may also be causing the pain. You should do yoga ,it will help you.If the pain persists even after a week, you should see an orthopedician.
Avatar f tn I hadn't noticed until today, as I was shaving my legs, that my varicose veins are multiplying and becomeing quite prominent. I read they are mostly on inside and calves of legs. Mine are on outside of legs, knees, and thights. Could these be caused by the spasticity? Just curious if this needed added to timeline. .
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
Avatar m tn Aside from the red color, there is also a varicose veins who is slowly grow on the birthmark affected leg, so I just thought that it is connected to my birthmark too, b/c why is it that there's no varicose veins on my right leg which doesn't have a birthmark, its swelling and aching. I wish that their will be a kindhearted one or a doctor who could help me. If there will be a trial medical surgery, then I would be the first to volunteer myself for that trial.
Avatar n tn Can varicose veins on the tongue lead to cancer and what can be done to remove the varicose vein?
Avatar f tn t hurt a lot just a little and unfourtinally its probley more spider veins or hopefully not varicose veins ....
Avatar n tn If you already have varicose veins you may have some doubts about taking birth control pills. If your varicose veins are mild and are not a symptom of a more serious condition, your doctor may agree to prescribe a low-dose estrogen pill. In this case it's up to you to decide what your priorities are. You may feel that the advantages of taking the pill outweigh the risk of varicose veins. That said I doubt if taking the pill would stop the problem! Ask the doctor for his/her opinion.
