Avatar n tn If the bump is flesh colored and over a vein, it can be just a varicose vein (especially if you have varicose veins on other places on your body). Age is not a factor, from teens to older adults can get varicose veins on the penis or scrotum (and other places). These type of varicose veins can range in size with most the size of a BB or smaller (or bigger). Inspect it closely. If it seems to follow or be "on top" of a vein, this is probably what you have.

Avatar m tn I also noticed minor discomfort and aching on the right side of my penis. The aches and discomfort have gone away but the veins are still there and prominent. I'm wondering if this is inflammation? I have a always had 1 varicose vein on my left side of my penis but the 2 other ones seem new and coily which I have never noticed before. I can still have sex and get an erection but I'm wondering if continuing sexual activity is a bad thing?
1032669 tn?1252456404 Yeah, I'm one of the lucky ones with varicose veins too :-( I have a few on my legs that look and feel like raised bruises, and my labia is swollen too. My obgyn said it's not uncommon and that, unfortunately, it will just continue to get worse until delivery...as the weight of your uterus (and baby) increases and puts more pressure on the veins. Oh well, it's all worth it for a healthy baby!

Avatar f tn A month ago the veins on my left arm became very visible from the wrist to the elbow. The vein on the my left side, just below my shoulder, is also visible, it goes down to the heart area. I asked the doctor and he said its thin skin because of ageing. I'm a bit stumped. Why only on the left arm and chest area, and why all of a sudden. It seemed to appear after a blood test. My gut says its not thin skin or aging. Does anyone else know about or have this symptom?
907968 tn?1292622204 So, due to their superior quality and strength, arteries are the favoured vessels for a bypass. They can use one of a pair from the left side of the chest and one from a pair on the right side of the chest. It is common for an Artery + a vein to be used in a bypass. Veins do not last as long as arteries but there is nothing else to use when there are only two arteries you can spare in the area. It greatly varies from person to person how long the veins last.
Avatar m tn Hi I'm a 34 YO guy who has been experiencing a bit of discomfort from Veins varicose on my feet. For the context, I'm 1.84 cm tall, 72 kg and in reasonably good shape. Since I was young I've always had the veins on my feet a bit pronounced (like bigger than the average), as the time went by tho these veins have grown and now I'm starting feeling a bit of discomfort (not pain but like the feeling of slightly tingling).
Avatar n tn This year in May I stopped taking the birth control pills and a couple months later I noticed on my legs bulging varicose veins. The onset seemed to be quite sudden. Could the fact that I stopped taking the birth control pills caused the sudden onset of the varicose veins?
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?

1580703 tn?1651904887 Varicose veins occur when the valves do not function properly, allowing blood to remain in the vein. This usually occurs in the veins of the legs but it may occur elsewhere. Indeed, treatment may be invasive (surgical) or noninvasive which include sclerotherapy, laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation and a lot more. However, it is best that you confirm the diagnosis with your physician and discuss the best option for you.

It may bruise during sexual intercourse and thus wearing of a condom is highly recommended. Also use of lubricants is recommended during masturbation or during sexual intercourse to avoid bruising the vein. Avatar f tn Varicose veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Any vein may become varicose, but the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs and feet. That's because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body. Sometimes varicose veins lead to more-serious problems. Varicose veins may also signal a higher risk of other circulatory problems. Treatment may involve self-care measures or procedures by your doctor to close or remove veins.
Avatar m tn I had an extremely serious case of varicose veins. On the inner sie of each ankle was a sack of blackish stagnant blood, a horror to look at. The skin was thinning and close to rupturing. At some point I adding liquid trace minerals to my drinking water, with no purpose in mind other than adding to my general health. I put one tablespoon in each gallon of filtered water. I also added 16 drops of BioSil.
Avatar n tn Note that when you have laser treatment it destroys the veins so the blood will go to other veins and the problem will most likely return.
Avatar f tn t be too worried about those veins as they are not varicose veins yet, but he told me that I am prone to develop them in the future. I was supposed to have a sclerotherapy procedure done on my legs on September this year. I was relieved that day. A few days later, I woke up with bulging veins all over my hands and arms. Then I got them on my chest, breasts and even a few on the lower part of my stomach.
Avatar f tn Lately I’ve notice veins on my inner calf bulging out where I can feel them on my skin and they somewhat twist... as well as being able to feel my femoral vein running down my inner thigh to my knee cap, which I’m not sure if it’s normal to be able to feel that vein on the skin or not. But I’ve been having inner thigh pain and calf pain when I walk. Is this a serious issue or just common with varicose veins? I’m thinking about seeing my PC doc.
Avatar f tn I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm new here and I can't find a page that fits what I'm asking better. Recently, I've noticed that a lot of the veins on my feet are popping out. I am a 17 year old female, a little overweight, with no health issues to date (not even high blood pressure.) I'm not sure what this is, and I'm really starting to freak out.
Avatar f tn This pregnancy i have developed some varicose veins. I have one that is protruding on my left inner calf and is right on top of bad spider vein. It is tender to the touch and i can feel a little discomfort walking up and down stairs. Is this normal or could it actually be a blood clot? It is not warm to the touch just painful and tender.
Avatar f tn I looked in the mirror last night, and my chest, breasts and arms looked like someone had taken a thick marker and drawn on me. Thick dark blue veins covered the area from the top of my chest all the way down to my wrists. It lasted an hour or so then lightened back to almost normal. Had a total hysterectomy in 2002, so it's not pregnancy.
