Varicose veins on scrotum causes

Common Questions and Answers about Varicose veins on scrotum causes

Avatar n tn “Normally, you cannot see or feel the veins in the spermatic cord that carry the blood from the testes. If you have a varicocele, the veins become bigger (they enlarge or dilate) and this makes them more prominent. It is similar to varicose veins of the legs. The size of a varicocele can vary. A large varicocele is sometimes said to look and feel like 'a bag of worms' in the scrotum.” I would suggest you see a surgeon at the earliest. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn I have a big lump on the very bottom of my scrotum, it appeared once before but went away, but it has come back overnight and it is about the size of a long golf ball. It is VERY painful. What do you think it is? Should I put black sav on it?
Avatar m tn I found this advice in a thread from 2009 and sounds similar to what you described. These swollen veins can be due to varicose veins or superficial thrombophlebitis. Penile varicose veins may bruise during sexual intercourse and thus wearing of a condom is highly recommended. Also use of lubricants is recommended during masturbation or during sexual intercourse to avoid bruising the vein. Mondor’s disease is superficial thrombophlebitis of the penis.
Avatar n tn varicocele ( benign varicose veins of the scrotum which are surgically repaired for infertility and rarely for pain. They are diagnosed by testicular exam. Varicocele pain is usually controlled with Tylenol or aspirin-like products. 2.Chronic pain can also result from previous injury, infection or surgery ( rare, 50), is most likely caused by benign prostatic hypertrophy.
Avatar m tn In other words its perhaps at base or closer to left side of penis as i feel and perhaps not on the penis itself. Also it is not in the left side of scrotum but only on the upper of the left side of penis as i have told before.the slight pain seems to vanish but then re occurs and it looks like it occurs after I mainly move my penis when i go to washroom for urine or when the penis moves in some way i.e due to engorging(becoming large) and then the pain stays for some time.
Avatar n tn Few of the common causes of such lumps are Epididymitis, Orchitis, inguinal hernia, which may be mistaken for a testicle lump, mumps, scrotal sac infection, Spermatocele which is a cyst in the scrotum or a varicocoele due to varicose veins in the scrotum.or testicular cancer. As you said it is present since a year and has been increasing in size so testicular injury and torsion are completely ruled out. There are high chances that it could be a varicocoele or a spermatocoele.
Avatar m tn I'm 24 and recently (like within this month) I've had varicose veins appear on my legs, wrists and now one on my penis on the left. It doesn't hurt really, but ocasionally kinda tingles. I'm gonna get myself checked out tho! I tried the inclined bed therapy thing, although at a lower angle than suggested, for about a week. It seemd to make my veins worse...
1634499 tn?1300197597 Hello, I am experiencing same trouble. I have varicose on my left scrotum and I have severe dragging pain when I stand for sometime. I am experiencing severe leg pain on my both leg and back ache. I did MRI scanning and there is nothing wrong with my spinal code. Could any one please advice me ?.
Avatar m tn But it's just weird that it is on both sides when I only had the pressure or bulge problem on my left side.. I have found what CAUSES the most amount of pain is; Sleeping on my stomach (I cannot do that anymore, because it causes sharp/dull pain to my left testical, and sometimes my right, along with discomfort). Wearing a belt with jeans ( It puts pressure on the area, either above or below where I felt the pressure, causing pain and discomfort to my testical/lower abdomen).
Avatar n tn lymph nodes, I have a feeling you would definitely know if they were really enlarged. I had a client who came to see me once with a sore neck, thinking he'd just slept wrong, but the lymph nodes in his neck were unmistakeably palpable. I've never felt anything like that before or since. I sent him to the doctor, and it turned out he had mono. Also, I think inguinal (groin) lymph nodes have to be pretty darn big to be considered enlarged.

Avatar m tn Hello, A varicocele is an abnormal tortuosity and dilation of veins of the spermatic cord. It is somewhat like a varicose vein of the scrotum. If you do not get a surgery done then it might affect fertility. So please get it done. Watching porn has no effect on fertility. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn given that your baby idea is still off in the future and you have no hint that your boyfriend is infertile, the doc (or the insurance coverage) can rightfully say that the test just isn't that urgent. Anyway, your boyfriend is the one with the varicose veins in the scrotum, not you, so he is the one who should be saying "I feel I want a second opinion.
Avatar m tn It seems to be in line with one of my veins, and she mentioned it may be varicose. She submitted my request for a referral, which I will find out in 2 days if it is authorized (I'm in the Army and you have to jump through hoops to get referrals). She also authorized an ultrasound, but they couldn't fit me in for a month... so it's a waiting game. I'm just tired of this feeling. Could it be herpes, especially if there was a false negative on the test?
Avatar n tn The next day I went to the urologist for an ultrasound - they said they saw multiple small cysts and a hydrocele (a fluid pocket in the scrotum) but all of those should be painless - they guessed it may be epididymitis (an infection/swelling of the epididymus) and veriocele (hardening of the veins inside the scrotum). They said they saw a little blood in the urine but their test was very basic. Sent me home with Ibuprofin.
Avatar n tn However, it sounds like your problem may be a possible varicocele. Varicoceles are dilated veins in the scrotum (usually on the left side) similar to varicose veins in the legs. They can become painful and symptoms are often vague and non-specific. Treatment is surgical, and recurrence may occur. This is not a surgical emergency. You may also have epididymitis on the left side, however this is unlikely since your symptoms have been present for two years.
568068 tn?1258745732 The urologist decided to do a surgery called a varicolectomy, where they had to tie off one of the veins in his scrotum because it was malfunctioning, making the testicles too hot and killing off the sperm. Just a month ago now, he went back for his first sperm analysis since the surgery. GREAT NEWS! The count is up, the volume is up and the motility is up.
Avatar n tn When I exercise it goes away, but soon returns after a few minutes of sitting. I went to the Doc. varicose veins he said. Tested me for any other possibilities all OK. One week later after taking some pills, the pain, and now tingling, was in my hands and fingers. Doc agreed it was not varicous veins then. More pills..(this is a bit like starting a difficult engine by hitting it with a hammer!!
Avatar n tn -I also have a very hard/stiff penis when flaccid (like but 2inches long) -I experience a burning sensation in my penis often in the veins. -I have varicose veins on my testicles. -my testicles are smaller than before. -I have gradually had a harder and harder time getting erections and they are not "full". When erect my penis is about 5.5 inches instead of 6.
Avatar n tn Could they have permanentely affected my libido? I went to a urologist today and she told me I had varicose veins but that they shouldnt have any effect on my ability to get an erection. She said I just need to wait it out and hopefully once I do become "sexually active" I will be able to perform well. I was unhappy with her counsel because I was looking for an answer to my problem and waiting is not what i was looking for.
Avatar n tn Piless, regularly called piles, are swollen and inflamed veins in and round the anus and lower rectum. They are far like varicose veins you may see on a person’s legs. Apparently you can get that vibrating feeling from it. Look at below. http://www.naturalremedyhealth.
192055 tn?1263559137 Mega; I too have the varicose veins in the scrotum and the shaft of the penis. They seem to be very noticeable now. Plus, I now have two or three huge veins up the side of my shaft that I didn't have a year ago.
Avatar n tn 9-26-07 Approx. 9 weeks ago I had inguinal hernia repair on the left side. It took me around 4 weeks till I was somewhat pain free. Then came horrible testicle pain, I mean unbearable, and it still persists. I went back to the surgeon and he sent me to a uroligist. It was a week before I could get in to see him so I went to the ER. They took blood, urine, and an ultrasound. I was diagnosed with prostitis, fluid on my testicles and varicose viens & prescribed atibodies & pain meds.
Avatar m tn So then I go to the Urologist where after a negative physical exam on my scrotum, I was told he couldn't help me, but a visit to a Neurologist was his recommendation. Along with his recommendation, he also believed that it can't be my genitofermal nerve since the location of this nerve is too high and deep compared to the area of discomfort in my lower back. He also said he would think it's a bulging disc in my spine if the pain is bilateral.
Avatar m tn Hello everyone, I have been making detailed notes, documenting and recording mine and others symptoms for about 2 months now and reading these forums, comparing everything. Here is what I have: Can anyone relate to all or most of these points? 1. Great variations in size, texture, feeling: - 25-50% of the time is loose, normal size - Sometimes light-weight sorta like it has an internal sponge cake texture or filling. Has a basic structure and shape, almost 'normal.
534800 tn?1217170959 Further thoughts about this. My mother had varicose veins. I have thread veins in the upper legs and on the backs of the knees. I wondered whether there could be a medication taken in the past which has triggered a sensitivity. I had Septrin in my early twenties, to which I developed an allergy. I have heard that Septrin can trigger sun sensitivity, so who knows what other long term side effects there could be from some of the stuff we have taken over the years.
Avatar n tn truama, hernia, cysts and cancer have you doc take a look. personally i had cysts on the veins at my left testicle and from time to time it causes me pain (and I have learned to deal with it). just had my ultrasound done and doc confirmed tat there are some cysts growing down there.
Avatar n tn 6 months ago i got an injury to my left testicle which caused a varicocele to form (enlargement/swelling of the veins), this in turn causes blood pooling issues int he testicle and over-heating to occur (along with abnormal hormonal parameters). Over a course of 3 months my testicle atrophied and my sperm count dropped. During this time i just didn't "feel right" (so to speak) and wasn't getting morning erections or having a libido.
