Avatar n tn If the bump is flesh colored and over a vein, it can be just a varicose vein (especially if you have varicose veins on other places on your body). Age is not a factor, from teens to older adults can get varicose veins on the penis or scrotum (and other places). These type of varicose veins can range in size with most the size of a BB or smaller (or bigger). Inspect it closely. If it seems to follow or be "on top" of a vein, this is probably what you have.
Avatar m tn I have a big lump on the very bottom of my scrotum, it appeared once before but went away, but it has come back overnight and it is about the size of a long golf ball. It is VERY painful. What do you think it is? Should I put black sav on it?
Avatar m tn t functioning quite as well this condition occurs. Varicoceles are dilated blood vessels (varicose veins) in the scrotum. Blood from the testicle drains into a collection of tiny veins. A minimally invasive radiological procedure called embolization can, in most cases, correct the problem. Correcting varicose veins in scrotum boosts sperm count, motility. Avatar f tn org/diseases-conditions/varicose-veins/symptoms-causes/syc-20350643. Basically, weak or damaged valves lead to varicose veins. Being obese is a risk factor and losing weight would likely help a multitude of things in your life. That's never easy but something that would be very beneficial to work on. Sitting for prolonged periods of time also contribute to varicose veins. You are a young man and this should be a priority for your health.
Avatar n tn http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23068876/ “Normally, you cannot see or feel the veins in the spermatic cord that carry the blood from the testes. If you have a varicocele, the veins become bigger (they enlarge or dilate) and this makes them more prominent. It is similar to varicose veins of the legs. The size of a varicocele can vary. A large varicocele is sometimes said to look and feel like 'a bag of worms' in the scrotum.” I would suggest you see a surgeon at the earliest.
Avatar m tn s shown in this picture, but all over my scrotum are red veins. The skin on my scrotum has also changed dramatically. The scrotum itself hangs a lot lower than usual and when it does happen to be cold and pulled up to the body, it is very rough feeling. I've been tested for all STI's as well as had a platelet count and all is normal. I do not have a history of using cortisone creams in the area.
Avatar m tn It may be a blood clot so you probably should get it checked out. I'm 24 and recently (like within this month) I've had varicose veins appear on my legs, wrists and now one on my penis on the left. It doesn't hurt really, but ocasionally kinda tingles. I'm gonna get myself checked out tho! I tried the inclined bed therapy thing, although at a lower angle than suggested, for about a week. It seemd to make my veins worse...
571167 tn?1223214465 These meds cause hostility, restlessness, digestive, vascular (varicose veins, hemrhoids, and varicose veins in the scrotum--infertility), urinary, reproductive (impotence), digestive problems, sleeplessness, ticks, stiffness, and more! The bottom line is that the drugs make them money.
Avatar f tn I’m 28yrs and have been mastubating and watching porn since I was 15yrs ,, for some years now I have been experiencing sharp pains on the left side of the pelvic and my scrotum, the pain in my scrotum goes and come back and just last month while examining my scrotum I noticed some heaviness in the left side and bigger veins too ....
Avatar f tn Sclerotherapy is another common treatment for both spider veins and varicose veins. In this procedure with the help of a needle a liquid chemical is injected into the vein. This causes swelling in vein and collapsing .This stops the flow of blood, and the vein turns into scar tissue. This procedure can be done without general anesthesia and does not lead to inference in the daily activities. Laser techniques can help in curing small varicose veins. Discuss these possibilities with your doctor.
Avatar m tn Clearly showing of veins on penis is not any disease and it does not need any treatment. If the veins on scrotum are very obvious than it could be a disease called Varicose which can cause infertility.
Avatar m tn Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for the question. We're sorry your wife has this concern. This might be varicose veins which is a fairly common condition and usually simply cosmetic rather than of a health concern. Not always though, but often. Here's some information on it. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/varicose-veins/symptoms-causes/syc-20350643 An important question is if your wife has any pain or discomfort?
Avatar f tn Varicose veins in or near the penis is rather rare. The varicose veins themselves are formed mainly in the legs, mostly because the valves in the veins do not function properly. Are you sure it is varicose veins? You may want to read up a bit more about these to ensure your husband has varicose veins - here's a comprehensive resource on vv - http://www.legpain.guide/g/52/ Hope this helps, all the best!
Avatar n tn 2mm), raised, red bulging spot on my glans that looks like it is filled with blood, from a scrape or scratch when I was very young. Last year I had sclerosing of varicose veins in my leg, which worked very well. This is purely a vanity question -- might this glans blood spot, not really a vein I'm sure, be amenable to injection with a sclerosing solution (sclerotherapy) to shrink it, or would the risk outweigh the cosmetic benefit?
Avatar m tn In other words its perhaps at base or closer to left side of penis as i feel and perhaps not on the penis itself. Also it is not in the left side of scrotum but only on the upper of the left side of penis as i have told before.the slight pain seems to vanish but then re occurs and it looks like it occurs after I mainly move my penis when i go to washroom for urine or when the penis moves in some way i.e due to engorging(becoming large) and then the pain stays for some time.
Avatar f tn If any of the causes which can be controlled are detected then taking care of those causes can reduce the progression of varicose veins. Yes, laser is a good option however whether it is good for you or not can be judged by your vascular specialist only. Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn The varicocele has presented little to no problems over the last few years however in the last 6 months or so I am started to get a combination of red and purplish superficial veins on the shaft of my penis. The largest one is near the base, stretching from the base to about mid-shaft, and is purple or blue in color. They don't bulge out at all and are very thin. They are way more noticeable when erect, and when flaccid, if I stretch the penis they present very clearly.
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
Avatar m tn You said "a vein popped out on my vagina." I was taking this to mean "in" the vagina (since by definition, all of the vagina is "in" -- the external parts in that locale are the labia and the vulva). But if you meant "on the vulva" (like, you can see it just by looking and don't have to sit with a pocket mirror looking up and in), it occurred to me that men get something called a varicocele, which is a varicose vein in their scrotum.
Avatar n tn Can varicose veins on the tongue lead to cancer and what can be done to remove the varicose vein?
Avatar m tn m noticing 2 new varicose veins and small purple looking veins throughout my penis. I also noticed minor discomfort and aching on the right side of my penis. The aches and discomfort have gone away but the veins are still there and prominent. I'm wondering if this is inflammation? I have a always had 1 varicose vein on my left side of my penis but the 2 other ones seem new and coily which I have never noticed before.
Avatar m tn Thanks for your advice. They checked to see if my blood wasl clotting is that what you mean by platelet count? I don't think it's from varicose veins. I had the same feeling agian today it seems when I do alot of physical activity my legs feel like some one is giving them charlie horses?
