varicose-veins

Avatar f tn never had an issue with them anywhere else. I have had sonograms and they never said anything about varicose veins.
Avatar m tn Yes I had the veins on the penis too. Your blood can't escape your testicles because your veins are working properly so they are filling up all your other veins around your testicles such as on your penis. This is why you are noticing them now. Trust me get tested for vericocele veins as this is likely the cause of your problem.
Avatar m tn I understand that the testicles move around a lot. But what seem to happen was like my left testicles the veins and cords got caught in something and it pulled the testicle up. Now after 2 months it's been released and the testicle fell down. The top vein seems normal but those below it, appear to be slightly varicose. I fear this might be a blood clot that appeared. A week ago after standing for 2 hours in a museum i felt like something push through the vein in my testicle.
Avatar m tn A few days ago i noticed a large vein on my penis shaft. I researched about it because my friend had varicose on his testicles so I thought you could get it on your penis shaft as well. I'm pretty sure from my research that you can get those but I haven't found any proof of it though, that's why I turned here. I also found on my research that it could me Mondors disease.

155701 tn?1230047101 When I lean against something (like the bathroom vanity), it feels like a big bruise. These are not spider veins or varicose. They look like normal veins except that they're very noticable and only on the upper region of my right thigh. I wouldn't be worried about them except for the fact that they feel like a bruise. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?
Avatar m tn Either way get an ultra sound on it. Wouldn’t explain any growth but your testicles can very a bit in size so it could be in your head (to an extent obviously). Varicoceles are harmless tho so hopefully it’s that and it’s only a mild case.
Avatar m tn 22 year old male non-smoker and in good shape. For over a year now my scrotum has been red and usually moist/sweaty even in cold climates. Recently the problems got much worse when all the veins on my scrotum became permanently red or purple. Not just the one's shown in this picture, but all over my scrotum are red veins. The skin on my scrotum has also changed dramatically.
Avatar n tn If you already have varicose veins you may have some doubts about taking birth control pills. If your varicose veins are mild and are not a symptom of a more serious condition, your doctor may agree to prescribe a low-dose estrogen pill. In this case it's up to you to decide what your priorities are. You may feel that the advantages of taking the pill outweigh the risk of varicose veins. That said I doubt if taking the pill would stop the problem! Ask the doctor for his/her opinion.
Avatar m tn It could due to an infection, a ruptured sebaceous cyst, varicose veins or due to a damage to the capillaries of the scrotum producing a lesion called angiokeratoma. Please do consult a urologist and seek an opinion on the same. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn It is quite common and urologists see this all the time. It is basically like varicose veins in the scrotum. This means, however, that it causes too much blood to be around the testicles. Testicles don't need to be that warm - that's why they are located outside the body cavity are are free to move close to and away from the body to control their own temperature! If you are trying to get pregnant, all the more reason he will want to have this surgically corrected.
Avatar m tn Hi, At this point, what you have may be a varicose vein (this is the most likely differential that comes to mind). Varicose veins in the penis rarely involve the head.Varicose veins are simply engorged superficial veins that may be noted even when the penis is flaccid. Without pain, redness, change in urinary pattern ,there seems to be no indication for further intervention. A penile ultrasound may help exclude a blood clot.
Avatar n tn Hi, Needless to remind you that you need to talk to your doctor, a cardiologist. If the varicose vein is in the legs, I understand that laser treatment is possible. Please google for ' laser treatment for varicose veins ' for more details.
Avatar n tn Pain in the foot may be due to diabetes, nerve root compression, varicose veins etc.You should seek an expert opinion to find out the cause.Unless a physical examination is done it is difficult to comment upon.

2020005 tn?1628125976 Hey there, i just want to say dnp47 that was a wonderful post! thank you! I agree, I would show it to the doctor. At least just so they are updated on whats going on with your body. I also have heard, if it doesn't go away after the baby, that apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it) can be applied to the area to help varicose veins. I haven't had any to see if it works yet on myself but if you are curious to try its an idea to look up and try.
Avatar m tn Hello, This can be due to varicose veins or Mondor’s disease. It is superficial thrombophlebitis of the penis. This is an inflammatory reaction to a clot within the vein. This subsequently causes blockages and dilation of the vein. It is typically painless, but can be painful. In studies, patients were noted to have thrombophlebitis after a prolonged sexual act with or without intercourse. It was described as cord-like thickening of the superficial penile veins.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Any vein may become varicose, but the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs and feet. That's because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body. Sometimes varicose veins lead to more-serious problems. Varicose veins may also signal a higher risk of other circulatory problems. Treatment may involve self-care measures or procedures by your doctor to close or remove veins.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have had the EXTREMELY large vain that runs from the right side of my shaft and then goes on top then disappears a centimeter away from the tip of my penis. This vein is green and noticable at all times. It looks like a number 7. It does not bother me too much but it looks very ugly. I'm also not the biggest guy out there as well. I remember my doctor telling me when I was young that I had varicose or something like that veins in my testicles.
Avatar m tn Varicose veins are in some cases unavoidable. Many times, there are ways to naturally prevent and soothe them. Get plenty of exercise to get your blood circulating, Elevate your legs on pillows daily for 10 minutes or more, Avoid excess weight gain, Dry-brush your legs daily to improve circulation. (This can prevent varicose veins from forming.) Use a natural-bristle brush with a long handle that allows you to reach all parts of your body.
Avatar f tn Hello, sorry about he delay in answering your question. Inner thigh pain and groin pain are common with varicose veins. Also, calf pain is included in that. Please see your doctor if you have not already. Let us know if you have seen them and what they have said. Here is an older question about this answered by a MedHelp doctor https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Blood-Disorders/Varicose-veins---inner-thigh-pain-/show/2027668 Here is some basic information on the condition as a whole.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are painful, I would mention it to your doc as they will be able to tell the difference between them and blood clots, I'm nlt sure that blood clots are usually visible, but you are def better to get them checked out. There are treatments for varicose veins in injection form which really hell, but I'm not sure if that could be done while you are pregmant. Your doc will be able to advise best.
