I also have heard, if it doesn't go away after the baby, that apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it) can be applied to the area to help varicose veins. I could tell it was not a hair follicle, as I have recently had two warts removed that looked very similar. Unfortunately, there is very little data to show any benefit from apple cider vinegar. The only study I am aware of only found that eating some vinegar on bread was associated with people saying that their appetites were a bit lower a few hours later. But I don't believe it's been demonstrated that consuming apple cider vinegar regularly will help you lose weight. It's probably a lot of hype!
