Going by your symptoms, it looks like bacterial vaginosis to me. It is the most common cause of abnormal vaginal odor and discharge. It is caused by a change in the type of bacteria found in the vagina.
In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole and clindamycin.
I am a very clean person, everything has to be as clean as a pin but I have noticed a terrible smell coming from the vaginal area and I can smell it through my clothes. Hello, recently the past 4 times my husband and I have had sex, I have had a very foul odor coming from my vagina. It's not a fishy/yeast smell, it's more of a smelly BM smell. I have NEVER had this smell before! I am so embarissed when my husband and I have sex! I am very clean and have been taking showers right before intercourse. I don't smell at all during the day during my normal routine. It's just as my husband inserts his penis into me,I get this horrible smell!
As long as it doesn't smell/have blood like colors to it you're fine. My doctor told me we get more during pregnancy to help prevent infections.
You should have been wearing a condom if both you guys have been sexually active before and even now. As for the smell, unless it is overbearing, he is not going to care about a little smell as long as you are putting out.

Hi. Since about November, or the beginning of December, there has been a sometimes really bad smell coming from down there, it only doesn't smell that bad when I'm on my period. I finally got the guts to tell my mom and she got me some Mobistar yeast infection cream, but it still hasn't gone away. Theres always cramps and a foul stinch from my vagina. The smell is fishy at times but sometimes it actually smells like gas. There is no itching, burning, or irritation. No need to worry, vaginal discharge is completely normal, its your vaginas way of cleaning itself. Vaginal discharge can smell like fish, or sometimes french fries. Dont worry about the smell or the color. And just because you dont have your period but you are producing discharge, it doesnt mean something is wrong with you. Hi i've had a discharge from my vaginal area for 12 years. It started when i was 13, right when i began my menstrual cycle.
