1752120 tn?1322657822 Vaginal candidiasis (Thrush infection) is the most common cause for vaginal discharge and itchiness. Treatment is by topical antifungal pessaries or vaginal tablets . Other infections of the vagina are bacterial vaginosis, trichomonasvaginalis and herpes vaginalis. Please consult your primary care physician who will examine her and ask for a few tests to determine the cause and treat. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn You should go see a gynecologist, who will be able to take a swab and look under a microscope, or do other tests. My first thought is bacterial vaginosis, since that can cause a bad smell, but it's really hard to say over the internet. Yeast infections itch, and usually come with "cottage cheese" discharge. Make sure you don't have a tampon stuck up there that you forgot to remove, because that can cause a really foul smell.
Avatar f tn I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I have been having pale green vaginal discharge for months. It's odorless, no itching, no burning or irritation. For all my doctor's visits i do a pee test. I don't know if they test for any STDs or STIs but i haven't gotten a call or received anything in the mail. Plus they did blood work in the beginning of my pregnancy and also i received nothing. I wasn't experiencing this until i hit my 2nd trimester. What could be the problem.?
Avatar f tn OK, so I have vaginal discharge that is stuck to the inside of the walls of my vagina. It doesn't come out but just clings there and I can scoop it out. I have been tested negative for all STIs including herpes, yeast, and Bacterial Infections. Nothing seems to be working. Is it possible to have some sort of candidas but still test negative for yeast? Is this a hormonal imbalance? Please help, this has been going on for almost a year!
Avatar f tn Thank u ..

8339276 tn?1400262023 Anyone experiencing vaginal discharge more than usual. It's normal discharge. No odor .I've been tested for all sexual transmitted diseases and all test and blood work came back normal. What can cause all this vaginal discharge tho ?
Avatar m tn Look up vaginal infections on the Internet. A strong odor usually means its bacterial, otherwise known as bacterial vaginosis (BV). You'll find treatment options there. It's worth learning about because you'll probably encounter it again even if you get cleared of this infection. Good luck.
548780 tn?1233769602 I'm menopausal now but never experienced multiple infections during peri-menopause. And I'm exposed to all kinds of nasty germs and parasites at my job. Do you mean a vaginal infection or just general infections in the body like throat or from a cut? I've read about eating yogurt to keep the gut flora healthy. Some articles say it helps with vaginal ph and health too. Not sure how that works. Taking antibiotics throws your body out of whack anyway.
Avatar n tn I am 15 and i have a vaginal discharge. it is white and sticky and i can feel it come out during the day. it has an odor and it really starts to smell bad at the end of the day. Is there something wrong with me? is it serious?
Avatar f tn t be scared, bacterial infections are common. A change in discharge (color, amount, smell etc) can indicate an infection however it is unlikely you got an infection from being fingered.
Avatar m tn I went to the doctor and had a swab done after having, a greenish heavy discharge and itching. It came back negative for a bacterial infection or chlamydia. It has cleared up somewhat, but I asked my doctor how I should continue to treat it and she put me on an antibiotics because the test they did "doesn't test for everything". I am hesitant to take antibiotics if I don't need to as they will interfere with other meds I'm on.
Avatar f tn gram positive bacilli - occasional gram negative bacilli - many gram positive coccobacilli - rare epithelial cells - moderate polymorphonuclear cells - occasional 1) does this mean i am still not cured of candida? 2) does this mean i still have an infection? 3) do i have to continue with the medication (neopenotran)? 4) should i keep changing OB's? i would really appreciate your responses.
Avatar f tn I have vaginal discharge on the regular and have seen two different doc in the pass 8 months they said my test came back normal no bc, yeast infection, stds, or utf. I do have a history of yeast infections and bacterial inf. But in this case im just constantly wet.n discharging what could be the problem???
Avatar f tn Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole and clindamycin. They are available as pills or vaginal gels or creams. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Although vaginal itching is the hallmark of yeast infections and other vaginal infections (including sexually transmitted diseases, STDs), itching in the vagina and vulvar areas has multiple causes. Vaginal itching can also arise due to chemical irritants that may be found in detergents or soaps, douches and vaginal creams, toilet paper, bath products, feminine hygiene products, and vaginal contraceptive products.
