Avatar m tn Oligohydramnios basically means that your wife's amniotic fluid is low. It is believed that simply keeping the mother as hydrated as possible may help to increase the volume of the amniotic fluid, however it is not medically proven. Unfortunately, complications such as cord compression can arise however if it is monitored properly and your wife is taking it easy, there is a very good chance that you're baby will be just fine.
Avatar f tn my sister is 15 weeks pregnant, she has been diagnoised with Oligohydramnios, how can this be treated?
Avatar f tn m beyond freaking out as there are horror stories on the internet. I read in my book tho if u get this condition this late in pregnancy they'll either do a c-section if inserting a catheter to pump fake fluid (saline solution) into the womb during labor doesnt work. I wish I knew what happens to me being so early in the pregnancy with this sort of condition. I can't find ne info about 22 weeks and low fluid newhere.
Avatar f tn Also, she advised to take loprin daily as a precautionary measure to avoid oligohydramnios(which I faced in last trimester of my first pregnancy). Is it necessary and safe to start loprin as a precaution?
Avatar f tn I have problem of oligohydramnious which is found in scan and I'm 30 week pregnant. My baby's weight is 1.296 kg only.I'm very much about worry plz suggest me what to do now...
Avatar f tn Well since Friday I have been having Braxton hicks contractions, every day they get more & more intense & frequent & are extremely painful. My doctor found nothing, said bc my cervix was closed, wasn't shortening as of my last ultrasound that I'm fine. Well now I'm lightly spotting. Going in again today last minute, but I'm just curious if anyone else has had this issue??
Avatar m tn The amniotic fluid also helps the baby develop muscles and limbs by providing plenty of room to move around.
Avatar n tn It has nothing to do with uterine contractions. If uterine contractions do anything at all, they probably make fluids go both in and out.
Avatar f tn ll kinda make your breathing feel slightly different. To differentiate between braxton Hicks contractions and real labor contractions you need to pay attention to your stomach getting hard and if it's accompanied by pain. You'd feel it get tight. It's hard to miss. You also need to time them. Write down what time they happen and for how many seconds or minutes.that way you can tell how far apart they are and how long you're having a contraction.
Avatar f tn Its because when you have an orgasm your body releases s chemical called oxytocin.
Avatar f tn If done properly it should mimic the suckling action of a nursing baby and that will stimulate the production of oxytocin, (the natural form of pitocin) the hormone that causes uterine contractions. However it will only work if you are already close to labor and shouldn't be done without consulting your doctor as it can cause over stimulation of the uterus and in turn put the baby in distress..
Avatar f tn It's most likely a uterine contraction. No biggie, it happens with preggo sex, as long as it goes away after. I've had to have hot baths before being pregnant to ease uterine cramps/contractions after some good lovin.
Avatar n tn I am week 36 and experiencing Braxton hix contractions already. Is there anything I can do to help slow them down or help with the the pain?
Avatar f tn I have another appointment in a few days and am wondering if I should see the doctor again sooner ? Is this something that happens, some of my friends mentioned that they have had the same experience.
Avatar f tn s safe to have an orgasm in early pregnancy?
Avatar f tn When you et contractions it's actually your uterine muscles contracting to push the baby down and out. Even if you have a high pain tolerance you'll still be able to feel it happening. Everyone's contractions feel differently though but your tummy will for sure begin to harden with pain or an uncomfortable feeling.
Avatar f tn I was reading about chamomile earlier today & said causes uterine contractions....anyone ever heard of this!?
Avatar f tn I had to terminate my pregnancy due to severe oligohydramnios (due to a whole in the sac) at 19 weeks. Blood pressure, and sugar during my pregnancy was always normal. It was my first pregnancy. How soon is it safe for me to conceive again. I want to start trying as soon as possible.
1596202 tn?1297306958 In pregnancy there found uterine contractions that are regular rhythmical ( Braxon-Hicks)but before the labor these are weak and gets stronger and stronger as labor starts.
Avatar f tn Then at 24wks I started getting random uterine contractions that felt like bh but with a menstrual cramp and pain in the back and would take my breath away, even had one in the middle of an ob appointment, he still said it was ok because it was random. At 27wks, I woke up feeling a bit off and occassional menstrual cramps. By lunch I also had intestinal cramps and felt like I needed to have diarrhea so went to the toilet, felt like I couldn't get up for 1.
202436 tn?1326474333 Anyone ever heard of this? I know it's a drug used as a relaxant for the GI tract...like in such cases of IBS etc. My doc gave it to me to ease BH. I've been getting some pretty intense BH the last week or so...enough to make me wince and it feels like the contractions and the baby are trying to push my cervix out. Cervix hasn't changed so that's good. I can't find anything on this drug relating to uterine contractions...
Avatar f tn I'm 4 weeks pregnant and I'm scared or the uterine contractions during orgasm. Is it safe? Or can it affect the pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I was 38 weeks when ny son stopped moving like usual so I went in for an ultrasound and it turns out that I had oligohydramnios which means my amniotic fluid was really low. The lack of fluids was constricting his movement and he could have died if I hadn't gone in and been induced. That being said, you are only 19 weeks so it could be nothing. But it never hurts to check.
Avatar n tn i have uterine didelphys with 2 cervix' and 2 separate 1/2 uterous. my uterous are not equal halves. the right is smaller then the left and my pregnancy is in the right. i am 10 days past my due date which was july 29th 2009. i have contractions all the time but never consistant. they just start up and then dwindle away. my doc wants to do a c-section and wanted to back on july 20th but i keep asking her to wait so i can try to go into labor on my own and hopefully have a vaginal delivery.
Avatar f tn False contractions. Your stomach will get super tight and hard, and can be really uncomfortable. Some women get them later in pregnancy and some women never get them during pregnancy. I got them around 33 weeks. They are random and sometimes I would have to stop and catch my breath.
