tried the prednisolone but this did not work. Years later and many courses of prednisolone has left him in a very poor state, sleeping non-stop, swollen stomach, swollen face and total fatigue, we have seen many experts, they have now decided that his adrenalin gland has stopped working & he will always be on steriods. He now uses 100 percent oxygen to stop the headaches once they start - sometimes 3 times a night lasting for 15 mins, but he is stuck on prednisolone.

t seem to get a straight answer on this, I did not have anything like this before the surgery, my vision is like being under water I was told to take ketoralac as a substitute for acular as my insurance did not cover the acular, went for a second opinion and this lasik surgeon agreed with CME, and thought it was better to use prednisolone along with nevanac, so my question is this permanent or will in most cases it will get better soon I hope this is terrible to live with one eye.

In the meantime, my head hurts really bad, I keep feeling dizzy and lightheaded and I am not fond of the way the Prednisolone makes me feel. Oh, yeah, he also had me cut way back on my salt intake for the duration of the steroid. I'm also a diabetic and have been trying to keep that in check as well. Is there anything else that I can do to relieve the pain and discomfort?

I had cataract surgery August 11th of this year. I was prescribed prednisolone eye drops 3 times a day for a month then twice a day for another month and once a day for a month. Everytime I stop I get severe eye pain and my doctor tells me to go back on the drops for another week and then stop. It has been a while now since my surgery, today I stopped the drops after a week and woke up with severe eye pain and senistivity to light.

Short term ocasional use of prednisone in that dose should cause no problems whatsoever. You won't experience thinning of the bones on that protocol. Long term daily use of prednisone is another story entirely.

now dr has advised to use steriod prednisolone for treating retinal detachment. my question is that is it safe to use steriods??

but every decade or thereabouts i get a severe crazy out of control flare up and right now i m going thru one of those... i m on prednisolone and diclofenac (only diclofenac works on me when it is severe, no other NSAID does)... but i hate the side effects of prednisolone!!! i just wonder if anyone out here also suffers from behcet's and has this kind of 'arthritis' that doesn't show up in RA tests?

my husband has been having constant boil in the eye at least on a monthly basis. He recently had eye treatment. could this boil be as a result of the drugs he took or another thing. i am worried.

Day 5 after my last lot of Prednisolone - went to the hospital because of the pain and they checked me for anything heart related and couldn't find anything obviously wrong. This did not work either, so the ivomec was increased to 2ml and a treatment of 5mg prednisolone was given for one week along with a treatment of 1 biotin daily. At first this seemed to help but after she came off of the prednisolone she started to lose hair again and the flakes started again. My vet then advised me to give her a constant dose of the prednisolone i.e 1 tablet every other day. This did not work.The yellow flakes are now all over her body and she scratches all night.
