When taking a quanitative urine dryg test, does it test for specific medications like tramadol, hydorcodone, oxy or general medication lile opiates, benzo, etc?

Just recently moved to a new town and started seeing a pain management doctor the first month he gave me a urine test but wouldn't give me pain meds so I ask my regular doctor about it and she gave me Tramadol. The second month he didn't test me but he gave me a small script. It wasn't enough for my pain, so I've been supplementing the Tramadol. It's almost time for my third visit and I'm wondering if they're going to give me a urine test this time?

These two medications may have some of the same ingredients. Or it could be the way your body breaks down some of your other medications. You may want to ask for another test. A specialized one. Unfortunately, this can and does happen, false tests. It depends on how your body breaks down your meds and it also depends on what kind of test they're giving you. I recommend you do some research in this and take. Print what you find and take it to your pain Dr.

If you are late with your period and have been sexually active, take a sensititve pregnancy test, using a first morning urine and following all instructions exactly. If it is negative and you don't get your period, test again in another week.

Tramadol is not in the same class as anti inflammatories. I am too allergic to them but can take tramadol. I would try it and make sure someone is with you so if you do have a bad reaction they can take you to the ER. Tramadol is a pain medication and it may help your pain. It is not a strong one but it will help better than nothing at all and if you go ahead and try it and it doesn't work you can tell the doctor this and get something different.

I've been on suboxone for a few months,last night i popped some tramadol!
