Hi! I have used Clinical Guard ovulation strips, and they work. But I just discovered some called BFP, they make ovulation & pregnancy test strips, and they are super accurate and easy to read. They're my new "go-to" brand. I buy off of Amazon. Good luck! & lots of baby dust!

The start up kit also came with a discount card than lowered the test strips to about $15 per 50 test strips. I only test once a day in the morning unless I have any issues, so the test strips last a little longer than one that needs to test 3+ times per day.

If you really want to have the correct ovulation window you should buy an ovulation kit. This will test your urine for hormones and let you know when the best time for you to have intercourse is. Basically, you should start testing your urine on day 11. It really is the best thing to do. There is a website you can order the ovulation test strips or sticks pretty cheap.

I just bought an ovulation kit that uses 7 test sticks. Last time I used one it was a box of 30 test sticks. Does anyone know what the difference is between them and if one is better than the other??

To remove doubts, not that I have many left, I have ordered a testing kit. According to the information around this kit it is based on a urine sample which you send away. It is meant to be accurate if you have symptoms. This is day 7 after oral sex given to me, I am male and I sure have symptoms. The kit arrives tomorrow. Are these kits accurate, or do I need to see a doctor too to confirm? Any help appreciated.

I haven't used the First response kit, but I can tell you that I don't reccomend Answer Ovulation Kit. The test strips were hard to read and in the pack of 20 about 7 of the strips were defective. Good luck.

I have been doing an ovulation prediction for the last few days. it is showing that I am not ovulating, but with first morning urine it is much darker line. I read that those strips can indicate pregnancy as well as ovulation. Does this first morning being darker mean anything? I did another in the afternoon and it was light. I am having some pregnancy symptoms, and have take a test, negative. It would have been from sex on July 2nd. I have no idea about my cycles, none...

I got poignant this time around using the first response digital ovulation kit after ttc for 6 months on our own and then using the ovulation kit with the strips you dip in your urine i couldn't read those at all! And i didn't get pregnant using them for 2 months either :/ anyways!

You do have to buy a new kit each time, rather than buying extra test strips. (It comes with 7 test strips.) Good luck !!!

I have been using a Ovulation Prediction Kit that uses the strips. In the past only the control line appeared on the stick but today there is a very very faint light 2nd line appearing below the usual line. Does that mean I am about to ovulate?

I have been scared of ngu or some other form of infection. I have used multiply uti test strips which test white blood cell count in urine. None have been positive, one or two showed trace amount of wbc (I've taken about 18 tests). Would these show an infection (ngu) if one existed???

The test strips that I use are 10LG Parameter Urine Reagent Strips which can be bought on line at a reasonable price. These strips detect Leukocytes, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, Protein, pH, Blood, Specific Gravity, Ketone, Bilirubin, Glucose. You can get strips that detect less. The one that would be of interest if someone is suffering from dehydration is the Specific Gravity reading.

my cycle is usually very irregular thats y i use the strips coz it has like 20 tests in a kit which i use. ive been using them from six months now and was satisfied with the results although they are hard to read. ive tried other methods as well but found that using OPK is the most reliable one. But now am confused:(.

Yes, a urine quick test can tell you if you have WBC, but not if you have gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU or another infection that could be causing that. You need specific tests for that. If you have concerns about those, you need to let the doctor know so they can do specific tests.

I again bought urine strips that detect blood only, and the strips shows non-hemolyzed trace only after drinking beer or coffee. If I drink a glass of water with a tsp of baking soda, the test strips come out negative. I guess my question is "is it harmful to drink a glass of baking soda water daily?", or should I return to the doctor and go thru kidney x-rays, cystoscopy, etc again? I really hate to give up my coffe ...

However, if you can get a blood sugar test kit (and strips) you could test fasting blood sugar (as soon as you wake up and before eating), and 2 hours after meals. If these numbers are high, then you would need to see a doctor. Keep an eye out, there may be free blood sugar testing offered by some pharmacies / in malls from time to time. Why do you think you have diabetes? WHat are your symptoms?

Hi Hun, while doing the research of all kinds of ovulation test strips.. The best I liked was online cheapies , it is cheap & gives accurate result! I did tried cvs brand ovulation test strip that gave me multiple positive test .... Like almost 15 days of positive...& the test was. Way more expensive .... We get 50 ovulation test + 10 pregnancy test on the price of only a pack of ovulation test on store!

I usually use the answer opk. You can get them in the 7 tests or the kit which comes with a cup and 20 test strips in case you are not sure how long you cycle runs or when to start testing and incase it is hard to read you have extra if you need them. But they expire 30days after opening and are not supposed to use them after that.

Nitrite on the stick will mean that it is a bladder problem - usually Cystitis. Positive leucocyte reading on the stick with or without signs of protein, usually means that there is a bacterial infection. If the doctor said you have a uti (urinary tract infection) this is anywhere from the kidneys down.
