384150 tn?1399904816 i know i bought a target and a cvs pregnancy test and it was the same exact design. so the opk might be the same too.
Avatar f tn I haven't used the First response kit, but I can tell you that I don't reccomend Answer Ovulation Kit. The test strips were hard to read and in the pack of 20 about 7 of the strips were defective. Good luck.
1813627 tn?1337722375 How many have used the ovulation kits you get at CVS? Have you been successful with it? I have been charting and tracking my cm the past few months. I am about to ovulate any day now so thought I would get some input in the ovulation kids. Thanks for your help!
Avatar f tn How many days are u suppose to test positive on the ovulation strips?
741741 tn?1294284010 I used the dip strip pregnancy tests from babycreation.com. They also have ovulation strips and are the cheapest of any other order sight I have seen. I have not used the ovulation tests, but I got positive pregnancy test starting with a faint, faint, line at 9dpo in the evening, and getting stronger as the days past. I have heard of other women who have used their ovulation tests and were pleased. Good luck to you!
Avatar n tn But if you really did have something wrong like a gallstone or other bile blockage, then the urine test will remain constant in showing the problem on repeated tests. If you didn't have the strip stored properly, the testing chemicals on the strip will become compromised/contaminated and will give you the crazy results. Be sure your test strips are stored in a small, airtight container. And that you use a clean urine collection cup as well.
Avatar f tn Hi Hun, while doing the research of all kinds of ovulation test strips.. The best I liked was online cheapies , it is cheap & gives accurate result! I did tried cvs brand ovulation test strip that gave me multiple positive test .... Like almost 15 days of positive...& the test was. Way more expensive .... We get 50 ovulation test + 10 pregnancy test on the price of only a pack of ovulation test on store!
Avatar f tn I have been scared of ngu or some other form of infection. I have used multiply uti test strips which test white blood cell count in urine. None have been positive, one or two showed trace amount of wbc (I've taken about 18 tests). Would these show an infection (ngu) if one existed???
1527009 tn?1329854525 t an issue than the digital ones are great OPK but i used the cheap ones from Walgreens that come 20 in a pack that are strips that you dip and then compare lines. I've used many brands but haven't noticed any differences, all work. I also used a sperm friendly lube called Pre seed which you can buy online or at CVS. If you go to the Pre seed website preseed.
Avatar n tn The test strips that I use are 10LG Parameter Urine Reagent Strips which can be bought on line at a reasonable price. These strips detect Leukocytes, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, Protein, pH, Blood, Specific Gravity, Ketone, Bilirubin, Glucose. You can get strips that detect less. The one that would be of interest if someone is suffering from dehydration is the Specific Gravity reading.
Avatar n tn t fill the strip all the way) but it was a comfort for me to know my general blood sugar range (name brand test strips are HUNDREDS of dollars but can be covered by insurance after the 3gr test and a script from your dr). I ate like normal for the first day, testing as soon as I woke up and then 1hr after each meal. I was normal (78) when I woke up, but shot to 133 after breakfast of Greek yogurt and berries (I blame coffee creamer). I stayed in the 120s all day, which is considered too high.
Avatar f tn Has anyone used the urine test at the dr. To determine the gender of the baby?
Avatar f tn Yes, a urine quick test can tell you if you have WBC, but not if you have gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU or another infection that could be causing that. You need specific tests for that. If you have concerns about those, you need to let the doctor know so they can do specific tests.
Avatar n tn I again bought urine strips that detect blood only, and the strips shows non-hemolyzed trace only after drinking beer or coffee. If I drink a glass of water with a tsp of baking soda, the test strips come out negative. I guess my question is "is it harmful to drink a glass of baking soda water daily?", or should I return to the doctor and go thru kidney x-rays, cystoscopy, etc again? I really hate to give up my coffe ...
Avatar n tn You can get those over the counter UTI test strips at Walmart or cvs and test your urine yourself. They are the same thing the doctor uses and tests for WBC in urine.
Avatar n tn I frequently use urine test strips to test my urine when I feel unwell that may be waterwork problem. Have had kidney stone surgically removed in the past. Nitrite on the stick will mean that it is a bladder problem - usually Cystitis. Positive leucocyte reading on the stick with or without signs of protein, usually means that there is a bacterial infection. If the doctor said you have a uti (urinary tract infection) this is anywhere from the kidneys down.
Avatar f tn Go to walgreens or cvs and they sell strips to test your milk for alcohol, that way you dont end up throwing away perfectly good milk :)
709686 tn?1277432159 re concerned about your blood glucose levels, you can purchase a glucose monitor pretty cheaply at drug stores. I got one a few years ago for $10 at CVS. They usually come with 10 test strips and 10 lancets and instructions, which should be plenty to check your blood sugar throughout a couple of days. Extra test strips can be pricy. If you go this route, most recommend checking your blood sugar first thing in the morning (fasting) and 2 hours after meals.
Avatar f tn Hi! I have used Clinical Guard ovulation strips, and they work. But I just discovered some called BFP, they make ovulation & pregnancy test strips, and they are super accurate and easy to read. They're my new "go-to" brand. I buy off of Amazon. Good luck! & lots of baby dust!
873416 tn?1250335346 I used the one from CVS (first responce I think), and they were dark - there are about 30 in the pack, and they tell you not to use them next month. But this stuff is so expensive that I was using them only around when I though I will ovulate and kept remaining for next months. When they got a little older the lines became more faint. But it still worked. I am almost 9 months pregnant. Also the lines get darker if you wait longer.
Avatar n tn Im in the UK and it seems the first step is the urine test according to my NHS walk in centre but you can ask for the blood test straight away if your really worried....but I think that depends on any symptoms. Ive heard different opinions on the urine test though, I have been told that its no good by one or two people but then afew others have said its fine for an intial check. Ive had a urine test and it was ok so Im just curious, as it was clear is that it? am I clear for diabetes? thanks.
Avatar m tn Unprotected oral second void, maybe 1/2 ounce wasted then in the cup NAAT,, male is this an accurate test? Potential prostate swollen and frequent urination?
1008040 tn?1279159403 they were all urine test i used FRER test i hope i get a blood test at the docs monday to confirm im just so worried but i know its best to loose it this early at 6 weeks than for it to a stillbirth again i just want this so bad im really upset its going to be really hard to wait on the other test
Avatar f tn I'm 25 weeks pregnant. At around 19 weeks, after having urethral pain for 2 weeks, I went to the ER as i was certain I did have a UTI, even though my doctor dismissed my symptoms and told me the leukocytes and bacteria found were from contamination. I was in considerably more pain that same night so headed to the ER where they confirmed I had a UTI and put me on cephalexin. I took it for 4 days until I started having diarrhea.
Avatar f tn s just little strips of litmus paper there where I think 50 strips for 8 bucks check Wal-Marts website also cvs and Walgreens should have something similar if no luck there try amazon....
Avatar f tn You can always buy test strips at target or pharmacy. PH strips you can test the discharge and it will tell you if its just urine or amniotic fluid.
Avatar f tn t show up as a opiate and would only get picked up on a (gcms) mass spectrometer specifc gravity test, which cost more money than the nida 5 whiz strips which only tests for the more common drugs, marijuana, cocaine, morphine, meth, etc.
