Is the ASI test a saliva test? Can any doctor order this test? I want to get the test done. I have all of the symptoms of abnormal levels of andrenal hormones.

When I saw the urologist two weeks before the IV steroids he discovered I was retaining 400 CC’s (13-ish ounces) of urine without even feeling like it. This week I’m still dealing with leakage. I have it after urinating & wiping when I stand back up, when I sneeze, randomly when I walk, etc. I don't think I'm retaining still - I was urinating almost every hour for a few days last week while my body finally expelled that fluid I retained during IV week.

He has had urine test and they have asked him for second urine test in red top bottle an midstream urine test. Would they ask for second test if an std was present in first. I took chlamydia test 5 days ago which is negative so I know we don't have that.

I'm 28 yrs old & i have been married for 2 yrs. I got laproscopy done an year ago & from that point of time, i had blood in my urine which was discovered when urine test was done by my gynicologist. Though there is some connection between long-term use of steroids and reduced sperm count, I have not heard that taking steroids will cause sterility. and everyone reacts differently some have no reaction while others can be permanently ruined for life. I wish there was a test to know beforehand so the docs could know - or steroids had a black box caution or restriction so that they were not given as freely as they are!

Since steroids are used primarily to reduce inflammation in a number of diseases it would be hard to narrow down which one just by using the steroids just like the blood test ESR and CRP measure the amount of inflammation in the body but don't give clues as to where it is or what is causing it.

Don't worry about the silly test. If it's a urine test the medications will show up in your urine, especially the methadone. It has a very long half life.
