Is that due to some type of infection? UTI? what type of test should I get? No family history of prostate problem. my diet is low on chicken with fish, veggie, and fruits. Thanks much!

So I would not call it age related. Few weeks back I did bladder sonography and urine analysis. The test was normal. I do not have any related disorder. I have to get up 3 to 4 times during the night. After defecation, flow of urine is faster. Sometime passing of gas facilitates the flow of urine. Kidney functions are normal. Any suggestion will be welcomed. I am comfortable at day time.

I'm 22 y.o. I've been urinating frequently in the past 2-3 years as far as I can remember (possibly longer than that). But I also noticed that I only tend do to that when I drink excessively compared to other people, so there are days where I urinate normally (which are usually the day where I drink less water).

On having a PSA test done he had a reading of 58. Is his chances of having Prostate Cancer greater with a reading as high as this or will the prostate shrink?.

If you test a normal urine test, it will show any bacteria or infection in the urine which means it needs further testing to determine if its STD. However, if you have any symptoms such as Chlamydia check for Prostate infection. Prostate infection can’t be seen in urine or blood, it requires a physical examination.

Did the doctor check your prostate as could be prostitus which is a prostate infection. The poor pee flow could mean your prostate is inflamed as your urerthra goes through the middle of your prostate and if enlarged will cut off the flow. how old are you?

Thanks Dr Rowena, I continued Microbid for another 10 days,had my PSA and urine test done on 14 August .Test reults for urine are OK and PSA level came down to 1.93 .As per my doctor's conclusion ,this is good and I do not have to worry any thing .He recommended to see him if any pain,UTI,blood in urine in future. Please advise if I should still go for rectal ultrasound.how much safe PSA recommended in my case.

8 months back I had a episode of blood streaks in urine. Checked with doctor, took USG of abdominal and pelvis region, blood test, urine test and culture. Nothing significant in the tests. Uroflometry test was done and urine flow was 15ml/sec average. My Prostate size was 24.8cc(I'm 40 yr old, overweight). Present Problem: My urologist sprang a surprise on me that a PCA3 urine test came out positive (score 61.3) and I should consider getting a biopsy. You could have a bladder infection and the urine is cloudy. If you have any type of infection and/or STD, urine can be cloudy and even contain pus, that looks like semen. Is there any pain while urinating? I suggest that you get a urine test...asap. Good luck...

Your posting is a little unclear. I don't know what "little higher" refers to. I also don't know what you mean by a "kidney stone test". Are you referring to ultrasound or some other diagnostic imaging, or some form of biochemistry test? I don't know of a single biochemistry test that can determine if there are kidney stones or not. Having said that, here are my thoughts.

s not something to lose a ton of sleep over, but you should definitely follow up with your doctor. They can do a quick urine test to see if you are still bleeding.

thank you so much,i do get dehydrated very easy,and enlarged prostate.taking flomax but doesn't help.did have urine test today and for first time in over 2 months i didn't have blood protein or infection.burning pain is gone but i can't feel when i have to urinate. stool usually has dark red sometimes bright red ant the end of movement but has got smaller from quarter to dime size or smaller and only once or twice a week.

m withholding 2 Liters of urine in my bladder and I have no urge to empty the bladder. I have had MRI, blood test, urine dynamics testing, and other urine retention tests. We ran another urine test anyway and the results came back negative again. This is the 3rd test and all negative. I still have a tingling/itchy urethra and can't find and answer why. This all stated the day after having unprotected sex. Does anyone else have any idea on what this could be? The symptoms are not always present but come and go through the day, this is the only symptom. it seems to be aggravated after ejaculation and symptoms are present more.
