hi all, i have no experience with kidneys tests and since i take an antiviral which can damage kidneys and i found albumine in urine in last test i ask if results are very bad or it can be normal to detect some from time to time

after i took an antibiotic in feb 2015 my creatinine clearance lowered to 88-90 (min 80) and creatinine got higher to 1.1-1.2 (before 0.8-0.9).
I saw my doctor and he said the same thing- increase the intake of proteins and repeat the test after four weeks(urine test). As my chlorides were high , he has also asked me to cut down on salts.
I have gained lot of weight . I guess this is because of tamoxifen . There is lot of water retention in the body also I have a mild lymphedema (right arm). What should one do ?

I am not familiar with this reporting method, but it all looks quite normal. The numbers that they provide as being "less than" are probably the lowest values that this laboratory can detect. Your values are all less than their detectable amount, which is good,
As to your previous values, ketones in your urine indicate that your cells are starving. Skip lunch and provide a urine sample in several hours and your ketones will be positive. By itself, ketonuria is not a serious issue.
1) and of course the scary total bilirubin which was measured at 1.3 (where the lab max was 1.2). All other values normal (ALT, AST, ALP). Also had CBC and all was normal there as well. Urine had no trace of bilirubin either. My doctor assured me that I am ok. I pleaded with him about all the information I have read on the web regarding the fractional bilirubin and the possible sinister ailments associated with high levels of bilirubin.
In due course of time they will improve to normal values. However if they are higher than the previous values, then do consult your doctor. However if your bilirubin has come down to normal, so will your SGOT and SGPT. Follow the diet restriction prescribed for jaundice-low fat and high vegetable and fruit diet.

Urine test showed normal results, minimal protein, white blood cells and red blood cells.This rules out presence of infection or proteinuria. Your 24 hour collection shows normal amount of 1700 ml (Normal volume 800-2000 ml). However, the normal values of albumin in 24 hours is less than 30 milligrams (mg). When your kidneys do not work well and leak between 165 and 300 mg of albumin in 24 hours, your doctor may check your urine more often to watch for kidney damage.
Has anyone ever had normal lab values but over 500 protein in their urine? And Bilirubin was only slightly elevated. Normal creatinine levels no diabetes or high blood pressure, have had severe weight loss appetite loss and night sweats which is what I went in for (thought thyroid but was not!) Was referred to nephrologist, not sure what to expect.

Everything else in my BMP and my CBC with Differential/Platelet was normal, as were all other values in my routine urinalysis. I am very nervous about kidney disease, although no one in my family ever had it. My 80 year old father has been diagnosed with some plaque in the kidneys about three years ago, but there are no other kidney conditions in the family. My BP has always been on the low side, but now is around 110/70. I am a 54 year old female, and about 50-60 pounds overweight.
My TSH was normal during all this year (values 1.96 thru 4.07) but I had values as low as 0.013 3 times during the past 4 years.
I am not taking any thyroid medication (levothyroxine 25 mcg) since 07/21/14 because I had a Thyroid Nuclear scan by the end of August to follow up on 3 small thyroid nodules (less than 1 cm). Thyroid scan results showed: diminished thyroid uptake with heterogeneous distribution of tracer through the thyroid. No discrete hot or cold nodules delineated.

Test strips that change color to reveal the amount of a substance in a liquid (for example, sugar in urine, ketones in urine, certain meds/drugs in urine, high-school "litmus paper" tests for the amount of acid or base), give a general indication of how much of that substance is present in the liquid.
The tests that give an exact number (such as a modern blood sugar meter) gives a more precise indication.
