Avatar f tn help. i've been taking valium for three years. i've been getting them off a friend who can no longer supply me with them. i went to the doctor yesterday to ask for some but he wont give me any. i am reliant on them what can i do.
3177755 tn?1344457400 I am just wondering if I use the xanax due to being out of valuing and a test shows positive for the benzos will the Valium cover the test....I am hoping so bcuz I am on day 4 and don't want to have to stop what's helping.....
Avatar f tn When she came into the exam room she said she had bad news for me. I was told that the last urine test showed negative for both meds. I told her that was not possible because I had been taking 4 Norcos a day and the Valium at night. But because of the contract she could no longer prescribe. I have been referred to pain management, and have had three injections in my back. I have degenerative disc disease, surgery on lower back with a fusion and 4 screws.
Avatar n tn You now know Klonopin produces the same metabolites in the urine as Valium. And, now, they say you're positive for Valium. What else needs to be said?
Avatar f tn I have been on methadone for 4 months now and I have hep c and I was clean and my urine came up clean 3 times but n june my dog died which then I did take 20 mg of valium. I was tested and it came up and then 21 days later was tested again and it still is in my system. I could not believe it so Ibought on Over the counter drug test and yes it was still there is that normal?
1800740 tn?1324240771 Plus, don't they drug test you on induction? It stays in urine for days. So better start now. Valium can help, but it is also addictive and withdrawals from that can cause seizures. So, don't take too much if at all. CT is pretty bad, so good luck to you, but a soldier has to do what a soldier must do. Try to stay hydrated with Gatorade or Powerade and stay strong.
1401392 tn?1280808747 I do not know if your clinic maintains the actual urine sample, for one they do not remain stable for long periods and would be useless for testing purposes after a given amount of time. I assume the clinic's storage capacities are probably minimal. If you have been or will be dismissed the only choice you have is to locate another PMP as quickly as they can. Your current PMP should provide you with thirty day med supply but this is not always true.
Avatar n tn I was fortunate to be in a position where work, money and being looked after wasn't a problem (my housemate is an angel for helping through it). I had been reducing methadone for six months and valium for two years and it took all that time for me to be in a position to be confident that I could handle the depression that came with stopping. Just stopping brings all the bad things that you have being trying to not remember up.
Avatar f tn Again I ask would it be acceptable to take 10 mg only on days where my thoughts get double plus bad and to be sure not to exceed 20 mg a week? This would only be for another two months. I get a urine test about once every two months so if I were to relapse I would use an opiate because it leaves the system much quicker than Suboxone. I hate knowing that I can cheat/relapse while doing my hep C treatment.
Avatar f tn That is not unusual for them to show up in urine for that long...what meds are you taking now other than the sub?
Avatar f tn i have been told several stories concerning whether klonipin will give a positive result in a urine benzo test. i am going to be tested randomly and am taking klonipin, having switched from xanax, and was told that the klonipin would not show up in the test for benzos. i need medication for anxiety and am currently undergoing daily methadone maintanence and am not supposed to have benzos in my system.
Avatar f tn I had urine test which was positive for benzo's 3wks after taking them, but tested negative for them the week before and was told my urine was probably more dilutedprevious week??? I think it was a mistake but what do i know i'm only an addict (or that was there opinion anyway). It can depend how frequently you take them and how many with amount of time it takes to come out system. i've heard that urine tests take longest with valium to show clean.
Avatar n tn When I went to the uro two week's ago and he told me I needed the test. He prescribed Cipro and Valium. He told me to take the valium before the test. Snce he had not told me much about the test I had to research online and read that antibiotics were usually prescribed AFTER the procedure. So did not take any before today.
Avatar m tn i am going to two different pscyhs. one for suboxone and one for xanax/valium. they dont know about each other. i have legitimate problems for both. my pre auth. ran out recently. in order to get a new one(per united healthcare) . to get a new pre auth. they gave me 15 days worth of subs and my doc has to order me a drug test. i dont know whats going on with anything. never dealt or heard of anything like this. i am switching to total care july 1st. does that matter?
Avatar m tn They can tell the urine is either old or not yours if they test it with the right test. You may get past this okay - but it won't be with your urine. I doubt that med help would like it if I tried to tell you how to beat the test................
Avatar f tn I did and I asked if there was another test which the lab used the same urine for another test that was supposedly more thorough and that's where they couldn't find trace amounts.
356518 tn?1322267242 •A popular and effective way to beat the test is by substituting “untainted” urine for one’s own by carrying a concealed specimen into the bathroom. The only way to thwart this is by supervised urine collection (ie, a staff member observing urine leave the patient’s body and fill the cup). While this is required for forensic urine testing, it could be the ruin of a typical medical practice; it is upsetting for patients and demoralizing for staff.
Avatar n tn I guess I wasn't clear enough, I am taking the medication and can not figure out why it would come up negative. He did a urine test first which proved positive for opiates and then he did a blood test right afterwards and that came up negative. I am just very confjsed, He discharged me as a patient which is just not right. Thanks for your input.
401095 tn?1351395370 Ethanol (yes, that’s alcohol) LSD Hallucinogens (Psilocybin, Mescaline, MDMA, MDA, MDE) Inhalents (Toluene, Xylene, Benzene) If there is a drug out there, there is a drug test for it. How about one more thing to worry about? Second-hand smoke from marijuana and crack cocaine can be absorbed into your hair. Problem? Some companies are now using hair testing to determine drug usage. Answer? Don’t even hang around others who are doing drugs.
Avatar n tn somas are not good for oxycontin withdrawals because they do not contain opium. the main thing you could use to break yourself off is some form of loratabs or vicadin to take the edge off. depending how many you take it should for sure be out of your system in three days.
351317 tn?1204755471 Thanks for the info. I've been suffering from depression/anxiety for years and diag with ADD as an adult. We thought my son had ADHD due to severe bouts of being hyper, crying, picking on sister, etc., but the Dr. doesn't think the stimulant is helping due to him and myself punching, choking each other even though we had this issue before we went to her.
Avatar n tn Some test react positively for the presence of drugs (substances or derivatives) only if those traces appear in the test medium in certain volumes. For example, a person on parole may be given a test for marijuana (cannabis, hash, etc) that will respond positive if the test medium contains traces above a certain “cutoff level” where the cutoff level is very low (10ng/ml possibly) .
Avatar f tn I also asked if the copious amounts of water I drink (due to taking Elavil for sleep) could have a bearing on the test (my urine is very clear)... same reply. Offered to take the test today....again he said, "Not so much." In fairness to me, he did cut the Norco script in half, and the Valium down to 20 5mg's instead of 60 10 mg's, so I do have to work hard to make them stretch.
1405767 tn?1282638198 I was told my drug test by urine sample had tested positive for heroin. I told the doc i never took anything illegal. he treated me very badly it was degrading. On my way out I asked for a copy of the test to bring to my other doctor to try to find out what was going on. Turned out it wasn't my test it had someone else's name on it. Weird bad thing is he apologized profusely, and I said that's OK your only as good as your support, he was very mean to me from that day on.
Avatar m tn I have been taking percocet 5/325 and tramadol 50mg for the past three years and to my surprise I was drug tested and tested positive for suboxone and this was from the gc/ms test how could this be I have never taken anything like that I did take a valium and that was it so im so upset because my doctor will only give me tylenol with codeine and its not working what can I do and how could this happen?
535089 tn?1400677119 Substances Causing False Positives According to a report by the Los Angeles Times New Service, a study of 161 prescription and over the counter medications showed that 65 of them produced false positive results in the most widely administered urine test.
1896537 tn?1381903609 Thank you so so much for all these responses! I am currently waiting for the results of a urine test to rule out any infection and am on antibiotics for a chest infection so all of this could be causing the symptoms. If there is no infection my nurse wants me to try a course og steroids. Walle670: I have been getting the sensation of defecating and it's so distressing when I'm out in a public place!
Avatar f tn I don't understand what the cut off levels mean for a urine test and blood test. I seen one that states cut off level 2000 for oxycontin but that was all I seen. Are the cut off levels the same for blood tests as for urine tests?
Avatar n tn He said it wouldn't hurt even if it was something else and said sometimes the urine test may show nothing. He has booked me in for a ct scan of renal tract / urethrogram, not sure what this is other than he said he wants to check for stones or possible urethal syndrome. Now he said the urethal syndrome develops slowly over time and comes and goes all the time.
Avatar f tn The standards for drug testing arent very high. Most tests are simple and test for the most abused medications because its the cheapest sort of test. But they've found some pain drugs metabolize in a way to mimic other medications or illict drugs. So unless your doctor is willing to put forth the effort, sometimes you just get screwed. I wouldnt worry about it too much. you'd be retested by any other dr you chose to go to and it'd become clear what happened.
