My recent test were clean I.e igg combo @clia for herpes (after 4.5 months of exposure) and urine, stool test and CBC count was all normal. Few months back I was low on vitamin d and b12..for which I took medications and injections. Though fair to say that it all started after an event of high risk protected sex which left me in guilt and anxiety. My provider has written a mantaux test which is for TB I think. I have had lungs TB 6 years back which got away after treatment.

A sputum test done 3x is the standard test for tuberculosis. A prophylactic TB medication may be recommended since dry cough, fever at night, and weight loss are main symptoms of this disease. hi my mom has just been diagonsed with tb through a skin test but has not been confirmed with a chest x ray. she has no symptoms how is it possible that she can have it. i heard it cud be inactive but then how did she get it. no1 in our family has the symptoms described for tb . nd u can only transmit it when u have an active 1 ? right ?

Since you have low grade fever and chest pain I would get tested for it. The quantiferon gold TB skin test is good because you may have had the BCG vaccine and if you get the regular skin test it will be false positive. If the Quantiferon gold TB skin test if positive you should get a sputum culture done. Then if positive you would have to go on the 3-4 antibiotics for several months. So I think you should see a doctor for that.

s office, I felt a strong pain in my bladder and had blood in the urine, second urine test showed blood and wbc. I did a urine culture, no sign of bacteria. I received Omnicef for 15 days. I did not feel any relief (no urgency anymore but still not comfortable), I went to a different doctor and did a CAT scan, showed nothing abnormal. I did a cystoscopy as well and showed some black spot on in the bladder (not cancer).

Your HIV test was conclusive. You have to try to move on. 12 week testing is more than good enough. You're good to go man.

I don't know where else to put this question and I really would like some answers. I had tested positive for TB around the age of 2 or so. I am now 31. In the mid-90s when applying for work I was given a TB test and had a very bad reaction. At that time I didn't know I had been treated as a child for a year on Isoniazide. My chest x rays had been clear at the time, but I was treated of course anyways. After the re test I got sick from the test itself. I didn't look into in further.

The way they manufacture the TB test it's only for single use. It's literally not possible to reuse because of how its made, so you have nothing to worry about.

e take 6-8 medicnes , probably meant for mild TB or sarcoidoisis ( corticosteriods) or go for another test which is called I guess PET test where a glucose dye is injected while CT is done. This test again he said has only 25-33 % success rate, but if am fortunate can give the doctor firm diagnosis. My worry - I asked doctor if this is lymphoma or what or is it TB or Sarcoid ?

Thank you very much Dr. for your attention. Yes, I was evaluated by Urologist for different time and urine culture plus emprical treatment done. However, the culture was negative. Also cytology was done and negative. All lab test shows many(~500 or more) white blood cells in the string like tissue comeout in the urine, not in the urine it self. This string like tissue comeout in the urine all the time, but the burning pain was just on and off.

I was to see my doctor today and had yet another dipstick test come back showing a trace amount of protein in my urine. This has been happening off and on for about 3 years now. This got me thinking. When I was a teenager about 15 years ago I had kidney stones that had to be blasted. And it has me thinking maybe theres something wrong with my kidneys or maybe the kidney stones caused some damage that result in the kidneys not functioning well. Is that possible?

But this time, with a swollen Lymph node at left of my throat. Doctor performed fine needle Biopsy and confirmed Lymph node TB and this is how I started to eat TB course along with Liver protection pills. 10 months has passed, and the medication worked. My lymph node got smaller than before but (as usual) i got fever again. I'm 18w3d. I'm required to have an annual tv skin test for my job. I've done some research and everything says its perfectly safe to get one. I, on the otherhand, don't feel like I should have one. You had a Mantaux skin test. Don't touch it. It can also get larger up to 72hrs. and if it does, go back to the doctor that day so he can see it. The Mantaux test can come out positive if you don't have TB because it can pick up other mircrorganizims. The size of the bump on your skin determins if it's positive and is read differently depending what state or region you live in or if you've been traveling out of America.
