Avatar f tn Had old 10 mg of opana from script 2 yrs ago left over when switched pain has been pretty bad so I took them in place of my oxycodone for a few days no help. Will they show up on a urine test 5 days after I stopped taking them?
Avatar f tn I've been prescribed oxycodone 10 mg for months. While I was taking it, I realized I was going to run out before I could get to the doctor for a refill and a drug test. So, I urinated in a clean container, put it in the fridge for around 2 weeks. On the day of the drug test, I took it out of the fridge for a few hours and then I heated it up to correct temp and away I went to take a urine test.
Avatar n tn I took a urine test at my doctors as i do once a month to re4ceive my precription of oxycodone, an naproxen for my bad hip problem do to installing carpet and flooring for 31 years. problem is they said i tested positive for methadone. wich ive never taken although i did take a sip of cough syrup that said on the label prometh /vc codeine syrup could this be mistaken for methadone. i had the normal oxycodone in my system.
Avatar f tn t know that they may need to order a special test to accurately screen for oxycodone.
Avatar m tn They are two different drugs and they metabolize into different substances in the body. They should not come up as oxycodone if you are taking hydrocodone.
Avatar m tn Can the buprenorphine-naloxone cause a false positive for oxycodone? I have seen that is can on an urine test but what about a hair test? If so, any recommendations on how to work through it to get it cleared? Thanks.
Avatar f tn My doctor has an assistant, not a nurse, who assists her with checking patient vitals, etc. the assistant makes frequent demands for a urine test...4 in the last 8 months which seem excessive to me. She gets quite testy if I am unable to comply and has left an unpleasant message on my phone once. Today she brought me a full paper cup of water and insisted I drink it. Am I legally required to submit to these tests? Is there a certain number of urine tests required per year?
Avatar n tn to the original question, for say a urine drug test, a regular user of oxycodone or other opioids it will take 3-6 days to leave your body completely, aim for a week to be safe, the half-life of oxycodone, meaning half the drug out of your blood stream after taking a dose is roughly 3-4 hours and the "high" lasts around 5 hours.
Avatar f tn My doctor is accuse my of putting the oxycodone right in the urine but im not so i told him to give me supervie urines by a rn and the last 3 have been and my level is still so high 9000, 10000 on my last test and these are all supervise i don't understand whats wrong
Avatar m tn I assume it would show up in your second urine after having taken your medication. Did you save a pill for your monthly urine test? If you did, then you are one of the people causing us legitimate patients all sorts of grief. I can't think of any other reason why it would be so important that it show up in a hurry other than the one I stated. I don't know what else to say.........I hope I'm wrong about this.
Avatar m tn She does a urine test every month. For the first time in several years, 10+, her results showed a positive result for codeine, 107 ng/mL. I found an article that said a small amount of codeine may show up in patients taking high doses of morphine due to possible impurities in manufacturing. Is this correct? Has anyone else run in to this??
Avatar m tn but the simple answer if you took 20mg on the 25th and NOTHING ELSE you should be fine on the 1st most opiates have around 72 of life in the body for a URINE test good luck.
Avatar f tn Being discharged for a failed urine test-not having the prescribed vicodin in your system, AND having oxycodone NOT prescribed show up positive is likely going to make it very difficult, if not highly unlikely that another doctor will take you on as a new patient for some time.
Avatar f tn Well I can tell you this, I was in the same situation and took 1 20mghydrocodone because I ran out of my prescribed oxycodone. I was scheduled for a ua the following week (approx 11 days later and they didn't say anything to me. But I was worried cause 1st, my pain contract states that I can just take the narcotics my PM prescribed, and 2, they have a specific test that test for oxycodone because one is a opiate and the other is a opiod.
Avatar f tn I have been going to a ct pain management for 5 years. I have never failed a urine test. I take 10mg oxycodone and in April my test came back as having fentanyl in it. The rpn said since I never failed a test she was going to have me do a saliva test. She also said that if fentanyl she’s up again she would not be able to give me my oxy. Ihave a appt with the dr next week. I am scared.
Avatar m tn Here is omething that is blowing my mind right now, They said my urine test was fine but my mouth swab wasn't and showed oxycodone in the mouth swab but not the urine ? this is very hard to believe for me i been with PM 7 years. and i never took a oxycodone ever in my life so i am just stunned how this happened or what happened and how it showed 2 different things on 2 different test. please someone advise me and give me some advice on what to do thanks.
1590996 tn?1297089523 Generally, the drug-screen test is for opiates. You are taking Dilaudid, which is an opiate. I suspect you were simply orally challenged to test your response.
5769649 tn?1373931353 t specific enough to differentiate between tylenol 4 and lortabs, that can happen. I would ask for a blood test or another urine test to be sent to the lab, which would be able to tell that it was Tylenol 4 and not lortab. Good luck to you! Let us know how it works out for you.
Avatar f tn I don't understand what the cut off levels mean for a urine test and blood test. I seen one that states cut off level 2000 for oxycontin but that was all I seen. Are the cut off levels the same for blood tests as for urine tests?
Avatar f tn While it is possible to test for the two different drugs independantly, in general the test is simply for opiates, and you would test "positive" regardless of which drug you were taking.
Avatar m tn Initial (immunoassay) and confirmatory (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry [GC-MS]) testing are the methods most commonly utilized to test for drugs. Using a combination of both tests allows a high level of sensitivity and specificity, meaning there is an extremely low chance for false positives or false negatives. I am not super familiar with the specifics of these drug tests as some of our members are.
Avatar f tn ve never ever had one show up as morphine. That is very strange...I did test positive for oxycodone once, but insisted on a retest and it came back just the hydrocodone in my system.
Avatar f tn Was the urine sent out for confirmatory testing or was this an in office screen? When was the last dose taken in relation to the test? It’s possible for an in office screen to have a false positive/negative result, due to cut off thresholds, but most pm offices send out urine for quantitative/confirmatory testing after an in office result.
Avatar n tn The urine test in general use screens for opiates, and he would test positive.
Avatar m tn i took urain test and past for opiates i do endocet 4 times a day hosiptal test why ?
