I know of one company who does give you the sex of the baby from a blood test. But the test is actually done to test for genetic diseases like Down syndrome. If you have PPo insurance I believe they do cover the test assuming your doctor will order the blood test for medical necessity. The company I know of is called sequenom, you can google them. And the test name that they do is called the MaterniT21 test.
The bakingsoda gender test was right for me I had a girl last year. With this pregnancy iv done the cabbage gender test and you boil the cabbage for 20-30 minutes until the color is almost out of the purple cabbage and you add half of pee and half of the cabbage juice, if its a purple color then that would be a girl and if its a reddish purple then its a boy. I did the cabbage it said boy and Chinese chat said girl but it was wrong with all 3 of my pregnancies.
Has anyone tried the gender maker test to find out the sex of the baby early and did it work for you? We thought it might be fun. :) I'm almost positive it's a boy. All "symptoms" lead to boy! I have no morning sickness. The baby came from the right ovary. Chinese calendar says boy. My pee is a brighter yellow. Ive had breakouts on my face. The heart beat is really fast. etc..... my husband wants a boy but I was kind of hoping for a girl. We're only 12 weeks 5 days now.
The test itself is easy enough. Put a tablespoon or two of baking soda in a glass. Then add some of your urine to the baking soda. If the combination fizzes, like a soft drink that has been shaken up, then you are having a boy. On the other hand if there is no reaction at all from the baking soda and urine, you're having a girl.
