Avatar m tn forgive me for being alittle vague. Doc called me back on some blood work, specifically Electrolytes and said that they were a little high in the kidney and liver, 120 (where the reference range was 117.) He want's to test again in a month, didn't seem to worried and now am wondering if I should be worried? I also came back slightly Thyroid hyperactive. I was hypo then stopped doing the meds for over two months. Doc thinks it could be an infection that cause me to go hypo then hyper.
Avatar f tn I was then told that my urine specific gravity was high (above what they could test for) and I had elevated bilirubin in my urine and when I asked about the bilirubin was told that my liver was probably stressed by my dehydration (as indicated by the specific gravity and urine color).
527657 tn?1214051850 I do know that milk provides a bunch of electrolytes, so you should drink that, if you can. And the B vitamins in the multi restores the ones eaten up by alcohol. Just eat a bunch of good food, get plenty of exercise in the fresh air, and do relaxing things before bedtime, like a very warm soakie bath by candlelight, so you'll get a good night's sleep. Also, get enough protein and omega-3s, eggs are the best thing in the world for that.
Avatar m tn should I worry about flushing out electrolytes? what other sources contain them ? I dont like gatorade uuhhhh !! I also have 1 soda ,8 ozs of juice & 1 or 2 teas per day .what do you think folks ?
Avatar m tn Greetings, I've been sexually active for three years, I've used Condoms with five of the people I've had sex with. I've had oral with 4 (same as the five) women i've had sex with and 3 were separate and unprotected(oral sex wise) I did finger one girl and taste her vaginal fluid ( a little) and the same women I was with earlier got on me without a condom for a couple of mins before I told her to get off.
Avatar n tn I had another episode of cloudy urine. Again, the next time I urinated, it was clear. I drink plenty of gatorade (for the electrolytes) and keep myself hydrated. I take pills every day for my thyroid, but I can't remember ever having this urinary problem before; yesterday I also took amoxicillin before I went to the dentist (ASD and mitral valve repair at age 6). I've also had episodes of shortness of breath, but I also do suffer from panic attacks.
Avatar n tn UA: Abbreviation for urinalysis, a test that determines the content of the urine. (I think that's what they mean, but I'm not sure. Wrong forum maybe???
Avatar f tn This usually lasts for a couple of hours. Last night I was unable to sleep b/c every time I laid down I began to get extremely weak, shaky, sweaty and dizzy. My BP reading was 88/59! I was up all night from about 2am on b/c of these symptoms. Now today I have been walking around feeling very dizzy and unbalanced and sweaty. My BP was 106/63 (which is quite low for me). I am extremely worried about these fluctuating pressures, and it has been very uncomfortable as well.
Avatar m tn For most of the time, after urinating, the skin on my arms and legs suddenly become drier and itchy, is it possible to be due to kidney problems(I felt pain in my kidneys before) that cause changes in the urine composition(urea, electrolytes, waste, etc), resulting in imbalances in my body
Avatar m tn The doctor prescribed Flagyl (metronidazole) after taking blood, urine and stool sample. He said blood and urine test looked normal., the stool test results hasn' t been released yet. I have started to loose weight and started to feel mild pain in my lower back and legs. Is my doctor on the right track ? Is it a parasite my problem or could this be caused by something else like krohn disease or pancreatic problem ? I really appreciate your comments. Thankyou for your help.
Avatar m tn I'm 17, have been experiencing this for about 3 months, I've been feeling really hot all the time headaches, disorientated, drowsy/lacking energy, general body pain/discomfort, blurred unfocused vision, dizziness, decreased appetite, always have yellow urine even though drink lots, difficulty falling asleep and feeling sick any advice would be great!
Avatar n tn I've been told I should increase my electrolyte intake. I've done so but am still having problems. I'm wondering if it's because of the type of electrolytes I've been using, mainly potassium citrate and magnesium citrate. I'm mainly interested in the best electrolytes for neural and brain health and was wondering if someone could suggest me some. I'm kind of interested in magnesium chloride.
Avatar f tn My doctor has an assistant, not a nurse, who assists her with checking patient vitals, etc. the assistant makes frequent demands for a urine test...4 in the last 8 months which seem excessive to me. She gets quite testy if I am unable to comply and has left an unpleasant message on my phone once. Today she brought me a full paper cup of water and insisted I drink it. Am I legally required to submit to these tests? Is there a certain number of urine tests required per year?
Avatar f tn I have a son who is a runner and he restores electrolytes regularly with sports drinks, no urine smell. Is your urine clear? not dark yellow?
Avatar f tn Probably impossible for you right now but it will help restore your electrolytes. Thwy will jusr put you on an IV and probably gig you a stress test.
Avatar n tn Hello, ~2 months+ ago I had a day of severe lower back/abdomen pain and testicular shooting pains, naturally I thought Testicular Cancer so I want to the hospital and they ran a Urine test, blood work, electrolytes, Xrays of abdomen/testicular area, and an ultrasound of my testicles. After all of these tests not only was there no Masses (such as tumors) in my testicles but there was no sign of anything they could've tested for.
2206935 tn?1373638605 Also, you should have gait test and test for balance. Ear should be examined for wax. infection and blockage. Other tests which may help are round the clock sugar monitoring, holter to rule out arrhythmia and situational hypotension/hypertension, blood tests for electrolytes, vitamin B12, vitamin D and hyperparathyroidism. Some sleep disturbances can also make you feel unbalanced during the day. So, it may be worthwhile to undergo sleep studies.
1285326 tn?1433024464 Sorry, it has just gotten into my brain that you are asking, by the title of your post, whether you have a urinary infection. With a urinary infection, you would be having frequent urges to urinate. Sometimes you may experience discomfort when urinating. You may experience pain in the lower belly or on either or both sides of your body as well as the back just below the rib cage - those are symptoms of kidney infection. A bladder infection could make your penis sore due to the acidic urine.
2015481 tn?1328277115 I'm about to get a cortisol test done and my doctor wants to do a urine test, yet an endocrinologist recommended a cortrosyn stimulation test and another doctor doctor recommended a 24 hour swab test. Seeing as how I've had these symptoms for 5 years, does it change which one I should take? Or should I be safe and get them all?
