Thanks for writing. So let me get this straight. There was protien in your urine from a 24 hour test. You got your blood sugar more in control as well as blood pressure and cholesterol by exercising, etc.? You now take an ACE inhibitor and there are no traces of protien in your urine? If that's the case it gives me hope. My blood pressure is fine as well as my cholesterol. My Doctor has not ordered a 24 hour urine.
I'm 24, I went for a runtine cholesterol blood test. The doctor said he would test for iron and I think folate levels. When I got my results he said that my iron levels and others (he mentioned kidney) were great. Does anyone know the list of things he would of tested for? Would he be testing for thyroid as well, and all other Vitimins?

That's quite a lot of stuff to sort out. High B12 can be a marker for liver disease or diabetes. High hematocrit can be associated with the blood getting thicker, which reduces the natural dilution of cholesterol and produces higher cholesterol levels. Leukocytes in the urine can indicate a UTI.
You're going to have to have your doctor(s) go over all of this, it's too many things to narrow down. Certainly don't neglect to test for diabetes.
06 would indicate you are Hypothyroid (Underactive) only, it does not conclude why you are Hypothyroid, you would need at least the Free T3 and T4 lab readings for members here to comment, Hypothyroid does cause High Cholesterol among other symptoms, you can be treated for Cholesterol while being treated for Hyopo, I take Synthroid for thyroid and Lipitor for Cholesterol. I have no knowlede of the Uric Acid levels.

You need to get the doctor to test ACTH and cortisol - and probably saliva testing would work for your husband so he can test at different times to catch the highs. I would also check out renin and aldosterone - those play a part in blood pressure.

i had some blood and urinary test today, the lab result came out the i had red blood cell in my urine, also my cholesterol is elevated, my sgpt is flactuating last month normal, this month elevated at 66.88 U/L my sgot is 26.2 U/L normal is this case normal? i had been diagnosed HBV+ last 2010. i'm worried, the doctor prescribed me ROWATINEX for the treatment of the red blood cell, simvastatin 20mg for lowering cholesterol. are those meds safe to take for HBV patient?
ve had blood test, urine test and chest X-rays done at the hospital, all of which came back normal. Is it possible it's all anxiety or is it possible that I have clogged arteries and poor circulation?

I brought my cholesterol down from 264 to 200. I'm 5ft 5in and I brought down my weight from 177lbs to 163. My doctor didn't give me high cholesterol/high blood pressure medication because she says I'm too young for it (I'm 32yrs old).
When I have my cholesterol tested, I have to fast. The bad cholesterol (LDL) cannot be measured directly(for the most part); the LDL is determined by subtracting out the HDL and triglycerides from the total cholesterol. One has to fast for the triglyceride number to be accurate. If one doesn't fast, the LDL won't be as accurate. I don't know how much the error will be.
However, some labs can measure the LDL directly so fasting is not required to determine it.
It is used in combination with a diet low in cholesterol and saturated fat. Fenofibrate may also be used for purposes other than those mentioned.
Fenofibrate is only part of a complete program of treatment that also includes diet, exercise, and weight control. You need to follow your diet, medication, and exercise routines very closely.
Sideeffects of using fenofibrate are severe stomach pain, muscle weakness, vomiting, fever.
Also l bought a Dus 10 urine strp home test kit . If the result is the colour blue its normal, green means some glucose and brown colour means a high level, When l wake up in the morning l got a green or light green, but during the day l took two tests and got normal blue. Could meals or food affect the result.
In my blood test , the Total cholesterol is 253, LDL 149, non -HDL CHOLESTEROL 205 AND SGOT= 46 , SGPT = 92, NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO? treatment for getting normal?
