ultram er side effects dose

its 3am cannot sleep very anxious just srted taking vicodin 5 days ago what can I do ? I was taking ultram for the past seral years and quit to take Vicodin. Ultram wasnot helping anymore and felt the same anxiety when I quit taking ultram.

Let me explain better.....he was weening me off of Ultram and I was doing really, really well but my insurance would not pay for as many Ultram as I needed. So, He didn't want me going c/t so he wanted to give me something that was like Ultram to replace it. He told me that the MS ER was the same "kind" of med as Ultram. He said that it is the "sister" to Ultram. Right now I'm on the next to LOWEST dose there is so it is a very, very low dose.

I do not need to get a buzz from the meds. So I have these Ultram ER - extended release @ 100 mg; one pill per day. Has anyone used these before and what about them? BTW - I have cut down on travel considerably but this has been going on and off since April and surgery in June...I have to work.

I just started on Zohydro ER because the idea of not taking acetaminophen with hydrocodone was tempting. (There's a Black Box warning about the acetaminophen in Vicodin). The first day I started the Z. (about 5 days ago) I got less pain relief and much more pain than I had with 5/375 Vicodin! That's seems totally wrong but it happened. The dose of the Z is the same as I got for the number of 5/375s I took per day. Anyone else on Z. and how do you like it? Any side effects?

I have been taking 60 mg of Cymbalta for about 2 weeks now and they say it takes about a month before you can feel the effects of it but I actually started feeling the effects after the second dose it has done wonders for me but I am also on gabapentin for neuropathy so the combination of both is really really working well for me. The only side effect that I have right now is I do not have an appetite whatsoever and it does cause some pretty bad diarrhea at first.

If you have been using Lortab then try Ultram, it would be like the effects of a baby aspirin. I did use Ultram 6 pills a day with Vicodin to help the painful times. I finally said I can't affford all this medicine (at the time 11 meds) so with the doctors help, I slowly got off of Ultram. I took about 6 weeks to do it and had no side effects or extra pain. I've been off of it for over a year after being on it for >4 yrs.

Last night the pain in back reached a point where I just needed some relief..alleive, etc wasn't touching it..wound up in the ER..Same ER I'd gone to in Sept when I needed help getting off of vics. (they gave me clonidine at the time which helped immensely)..I wasn't going looking for opiates..just *something* that would give me some relief..

Very true..Trams increase seratonin production..just like an SSRI..lexapro, zoloft etc...plus trams effect the same receptors that narcotics do///with enuf of a daily dose..this narcotic wd also becomes a factor..the AD quality of trams is often the resason peeps get addicted to it vs the narcotic effect of this drug..it can be a double whammy for some who r addicted to it in both ways...takes alot to have a true narcotic addiction to trams..tho i have a friend who does..

that is some good information had I known about all of those side effects perhaps I too would not have taken ultram and had seizures And I had thought I was doing the right thing and taking non narcotic meds.But soon after that I woke my sleeping monky on my back .60 vikes lasted me 3-4 months turned into 120 10mm lasted 3-4 days.

Now I am considering going back to square one by weening off of morphine and seeing what my pain level is. It is almost a year since I had L4-5 spinal fusion, and I hate the side effects, costs, and stigma that go with taking this class of drugs. Has anyone tried this? What was your experience? My reasoning is that I could get a maintenance prescription for hydrocodone, which was working just fine for me before.

Lyrica made me have horrible headaches, my eyes blurred really bad, and I was constantly dizzy. I called mt Rheumy and he had me stop taking it right then. That's when he put me on the Ultram ER. It upset me because I couldn't take, those dern things are expensive. Oh well, it's hit and miss until you find a combo that works.
