Ultracet for headaches

Common Questions and Answers about Ultracet for headaches

ultracet

Avatar n tn My son woke up with pain in his right eye around the brow bone, the pain kind of came and went. I figured it was maybe a sinus headache. Two days later the pain intensified and along with the pain in his right eye his left leg starts hurting and becomes weak, also blurred vision. I made an appointment with his Pediatrician who feels that he's suffering from cluster headaches and prescribed Ultracet. The Ultracet helps ease the pain but not by much.
Avatar f tn s/fentanyl/morpheines for years. I went through detox and have been on ULTRACET now for about 3-4 years. I have heard about the withdrawl but right now it is working for me and I dont want to go back to where I was at. Someone asked my doesage...to my knowledge there is no dose on ultracet like straight ultram. It is 37.5 tramadol and 325 acetemitaphene. The tylenol is more my concern right now. I am really looking for people who can compare ultram and ultracet usage.
Avatar m tn Still some pain so am taking 3 Ultracet tabs per 24 hours with pretty good pain relief except following 30 minutes on the treadmill and various muscle building exercises and stretches. To calm down those muscles following exercises and stretches I would like to take one 200mg Celebrex daily but one drug interaction cite suggests "Moderate" drug-drug issue involving CYP450 2D6, which means nothing to me.
Avatar n tn ultracet it highly addictive as well. The withdrawl is VERY bad .
Avatar m tn They cannot be quit cold turkey - as you risk seizures. Search this site for Ultram/Ultracet and you will find lots of info.
898832 tn?1243968023 narcotic like/stronger than tram in that respect with an actual AD mixed in..neurocet is tramdol...ultracet which tram mixed with tylenol but is not labeled here in the us as such but is an out of country brand..
Avatar n tn How many pills a day or for how long do you think you would need to be on Ultracet/Ultram before you would experience withdrawal symptoms? My husband took about 100 pills in a 2 week period (unknown to me - they were mine!) and he had mysterious stomach cramping/pain around the time he finished them/ran out. Sounds like it was related.
Avatar f tn This is not so much a question as it is a confession. I've been using vicodin on and off for a few years...it "helped" me through my divorce, transition into a new and better life for myself and the high was so great. I was so confidant and fun to be with. I was getting them from a former employer with a DEA #. At first he wrote the perscriptions for me and we would share them I would only use them in the evening to tolerate the last few weeks of my marriage.
Avatar f tn i just went to the doctor, and he gave me ultracet. does this work for pain and help withdrawl from hydros?
Avatar f tn I ask because I had to change doctors, and while he wasnt too happy to write for the vicodins i have been on for years, he had no problem with ultracet and he gave me a script.....so im basically asking, do people get addicted to this drug? should i not even start it?
1071153 tn?1255369215 I have been taking Ultracet weekly and sometimes daily for four years getting Tussionex and other opiates we I could. I have come off the Ultracet a few times now and did not like the WD's....shaky legs, headaches, etc. A few months ago, I was diagnosed pleurasy was given Loratab 10 for pain. Upon running out, I convinced my Doctor that Ultracet caused the pleurasy and have been given Loratab for low back pain ever since. That has been 2-3 months now. I am now taking 30-60mg a day.
Avatar m tn Ultracet needs to be tapered. How much were you taking a day?
798548 tn?1237503653 I have not exercised for 2 days now and it seems it is getting better. I wake up with horrible headaches and throbbing ringing in my head but once I take my ultracet and Ibuprophen and drink some coffee they go away. The longer I sleep the worse the headache and throbbing sound gets.
Avatar f tn thanks for the information....i will i didnt have to take a pill today so today is a good day...i tried to send you a p/m but there is something wrong with the site...i will try again later there is something i would like to ask you.
Avatar f tn was your tramadol presription for ULTRAM or ULTRACET? If it is/was UltraCET, that contains acetaminophen (tylenol) as well as the tramadol, so therefore, if you took additional tylenol with it, you could have gotten too much of the tylenol ingredient, which could make you sick (and cause liver damage if continued).
Avatar f tn Ultracet or tramadol sucks, it's good for squawt. But the Docs like it because the manufacturer says it's not addictive and it's not a controlled substance, but it is very addictive. I hope you find relief for your pain,it's a real tuff road to find.
Avatar f tn My friend and I were talking the other day and she said, "Oh, my mom said a lady at her prayer group said that there was "a new darvocet out on the market now." Of course I am more than curious since my mom just had to stop darvocet herself. My friend then tells me this "new darvocet" is called Ultracet! Can you believe this? I knew this was coming since darvocet was pulled by the FDA, now the drs. are going to start prescribing ultracet/ultram/tramadol alot more.
446097 tn?1223694666 Well I relapsed a couple of weeks ago but tapered my norcos over the weeked and am now on day 2 clean (yay for me). The problem is I have a MAJOR job interview today and am not feeling well. chills, runny nose, bathroom, etc. I found an Ultracet lying around. Will this help me get through today? I really need to bring my A game.
366131 tn?1212562534 Thank you for sharing that with us. As you said you used this for the first 4 days and were able to get through the w/d's and that's great news, but as always, make sure to get rid of the rest of those things because they're another addiction waiting to happen if caution isn't used!! This is good information to have and I will be praying for you to start stacking up those days of sobriety, feels great doesn't it?
Avatar f tn My husband just had his Gallbladder removed and he was addict for 13 years he's been clean for 7 the dr prescribed him Ultracet and he's scared to take it for the pain because of his addictive past. The Dr knew he was a addict and told him they are not addictive but reading online it says it is should he get the script filled or just take OTC meds? If OTC what should he take?
Avatar n tn Is there a formula for weaning yourself off ultracet? Am taking 5-6 a day for 3 years. What can I expect?
Avatar n tn I am not as comfortable on stage, and lots of people give me a bit of anxiety (always have, its nothing I cant deal with without drugs). But, I have used ultracet a few times in this context for the purpose of relaxation and anxiety release rather than physical pain. I keep a bottle of hydrocodone and tramadol around for bad days (physical pain). A bottle of 100 will last me 6-7 months.
Avatar m tn I have so multiple pain issues, I'm not sure who to see anymore. I've been seeing my rheumi for the past 10 years for fibro, recurrent bursitis, bilateral shoulder impingement syndrome. I've had carpal tunnel issues, then surgery. Now for the past two years I have episodic tingling in BOTH hands. Also I have pain sometimes in my left thumb/ wrist thats shoots into my forearm. Then I also have a lumbar herniated disc, DDD in all my spine, bad neck with pinched nerves.
Avatar f tn Hi Mom, I was addicted to Tramadol for 18 months, with 9+ months of daily abuse. I am still learning about it and am a Vet, having Rx'd it for my own patients. The short of it is, it IS addictive and do NOT believe ANYone telling you it is not. I believe that you have an addiction if you revolve your days and thoughts about when your next dose is, if you get excited to take it, if you seek it out and start doing things you normally would not to get it, things like that.
Avatar f tn does he have a chronic illness that causes him moderate to severe pain? if he doesn't then it's fair to say he may well have an addiction. perhaps his stomach issues are related to constipation which can be a side effect of taking narcotics and similar drugs. tramadol isn't classed in the same category as the most powerful opiates but it relies on the same receptors in the brain which i think is what makes it addictive. Is he underweight?
