Stomach ulcers cause pain on eating and duodenal ulcers cause pain on fasting (2-3 hrs after eating). Peptic ulcers are eroded areas in the lining of the digestive tract usually in the stomach and duodenum.
The tenderness seems to get better about 30 minutes after eating and then worse a few hours after eating, so I'm thinking maybe it's related to stomach acid or something, though I would think after a week on Prevacid the acid should be decreasing.
Pains you experience may be called "hunger pains". Duodenal ulcer is one typical reason, releaving of pain after eating and heartburn also both speak for it. If it is ulcer, you'd have some blood in the stool, not necessary seen with a naked eye, but with a (1) hemoccult stool test. Another test you might want to have is a (2) breath test for H. pylori - this causes ulcers and heart burn.

Basically long story short I've had what my doctor believes is a stomach ulcer since last December, I've taken PPIs since then and the awful pain has returned all day today. It was really bad when I woke up so I took my tablet and ate it went away, but it's been coming and going. I haven't had much of an apetite all day and now after eating a pizza it's really bad.
When there is no food in my stomach the acid inside starts to attack the ulcer causing pain. But when i eat, the acid digests the food and leaves the ulcer alone.

Sorry your daughter has been in so much pain. I know with my heartburn it just burns from my stomach up to my throat. Could she have a ulcer? I know when I had one my stomach hurt and it felt like cramping. have you taking her to a family dr? I would start there. And maybe when she is having these pains to have her eat some tums or something that is for heartburn just to see if that helps because those meds also help with ulcer pain.

no problem well i could be totally wrong.. i'm not a doctor but many people who complain about yellow stools have some pancrease/gallbldader/liver issue...
pancrease problems would be from alchohol or asprin/drugs or gallstone that caused inflammation or attack..usually after eating you feel super crappy..especially sugars *high carbs*..the pain can be high and you'd be doubled over at times. Usually a CT scan or blood test catches that one..
bloating after eating (sometimes), upset stomach (often, especially after coffee), stomach pain pretty much right between the breastbone and navel, heartburn (frequently but not always), lack of appetite (sometimes), and belching (frequently). Sometimes the pain is relieved by eating, sometimes it's made worse. Over the past 3-4 months I've had two episodes of burping acid back into my mouth but I don't know if that's related or not.
