Common Questions and Answers about Ulcer stomach bloating

stomach

Avatar m tn bloating after eating (sometimes), upset stomach (often, especially after coffee), stomach pain pretty much right between the breastbone and navel, heartburn (frequently but not always), lack of appetite (sometimes), and belching (frequently). Sometimes the pain is relieved by eating, sometimes it's made worse. Over the past 3-4 months I've had two episodes of burping acid back into my mouth but I don't know if that's related or not.
Avatar f tn I think of two things one is an infection if you had a productive cough or sore throat. THe other is perhaps it is bile from the gallbladder or a stomach ulcer something along those lines might fit since you have a lack of appetite as well and constipation. You may be backed up due to the constipation. I would see a GI doctor and have them give you an exam as well as perhaps some scans.
Avatar f tn About two months ago I started having a burning pain in my upper stomach...pretty high...almost where my rib cages meet. It burned and always felt like I was hungry...I would eat and then within fifteen min. it would feel like i was hungry again. Now within last two weeks... I am having severe pain at times...not nec. burning but pain also. At times it feels like extreme gas, pressure, and bloating. Worse after I eat..but hurts all the time. My bowel habits have changed...
Avatar n tn 20 mins after eating as the food leaves your stomach the ulcer is then exposed to the only thing left in your stomach, which is acid. When you eat again the ulcer is then protected by the food until the food passes out of the stomach again.

Avatar m tn 5 weeks, I have experienced really uncomfortable bloating. As in, my stomach is distended. My weight is relatively stable. However, I have a complete loss of appetite, as I always feels. For instance, in the beginning, I took a sip of water and felt like I had eaten a whole Thanksgiving meal...now, my stomach has finally began grumbling in the mornings so I eat more now, but usually feel full one meal a day. Bloating has been a teeny bit better, not constipated, and have been burping.
Avatar n tn During the treatment, I began have mild queasiness and aching in my epigastric area (many areas) I developed an angry vaginal yeast infection. I treated that, and began probiotics right away. By then my stomach was very painful and churning burning ALL the time. The foods I was eating regularly started making me feel like vomiting. Like potatoes, then beef, then chicken, cauliflower etc etc It' s as though I was/am still getting allergic to all these foods.

It's about the size of a quarter and tends to move.
Avatar f tn Central pain, if it was just below the breastbone, and if it was shortly after the meal, may be from gastritis or stomach ulcer. If you fel bloated and you burp, this is usually from H. pylori infection. This may be tested by a breath test, and treated with antibiotics. Ulcer itself may be diagnosed only with endoscopy.

Sometimes your stool will get darker...you get anxiety/insomnia You can try antacids or if you feel better after eating and then it comes back that usually has a sign of ulcer. Usually there's a burning sensation or bloating right below the center of the rib cage..sometimes it's felt in the back upper back but not always.

Avatar f tn Pain from a duodenal ulcer may occur several hours after eating (when the stomach is empty) and may improve after eating. Pain also may wake you frequently in the middle of the night. Pain from a gastric ulcer may occur shortly after eating (when food is still in the stomach). Some ulcers do not cause symptoms. These are known as silent ulcers.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm a 21 year old male who is healthy and can handle stress relatively well. I had an endoscopy and was diagnosed with ulcers in February 2013 by a Gastroenterologist. My Gastroenterologist said I have multiple ulcers along my stomach lining and a lot of inflammation. I started taking Protonix daily and watched what I ate. I have a lot of bloating and gas and a little bit of pain.
Avatar n tn After this the gnawing pain that i felt below my ribcage was gone but i was left with constipation, bloating, gas, and just total stomach chaos. I have been trying to relieve these symptoms by using every single thing almost that is over the counter.Nothing seems to work.. I went to the doctor and discussed my symptoms and she simply advised me to change my diet.. I did, i also exercise 3-4 times a week, and drink a lot of water.. This did not seem to work.
Avatar m tn Hi everybody, For the last few years I've struggled with constant heartburn and gerd. I've had to go to the E.R. at 4 in the morning because I inhaled stomach acid in my sleep. I started taking tums, then Zantac 75, then Zantac 150, then pentoprazole. I couldn't keep paying 90 bucks a refil, so I ended up having to take between 5 and 8 of the Zantac 150 every day to keep it under control. Now it seems I have a new symptom.
Avatar m tn pylori causes gastritis and gastric/duodenal ulcer and can cause, stomach burning, bloating, burping and heartburn. H. pylori doesn't affect lymph nodes. If Pariet causes some many side effects you should consider to change it. There's a lot of acid-blocking drugs available. You should soleve this swelling issue also.
